ed-orange Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Wow. Thats a nice B model. It does need a few modifications but I think, I have to get the Volvo twice :-) Quote
Foggy Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Should need one more rear axel... do you think is pendular in the steering point? Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 This model is growing on me. The green I6 engine is great, and I believe this it the first time LEGO has done an I6 engine in a model. Nice to see a pendular axle as well! Quote
efferman Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 the more infos we get, the more the model raise my respect to it Quote
Erik Leppen Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 The alternative model is a big plus, I think. I like it, despite the odd proportions due to the missing third axle. But the Unimog didn't have a full alternate, so it's a definite improvement over that. Quote
EyesOnly Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Me likes. Yeah the dumper does look odd but at least it is a new model and not just some small change like 8110. BTW i wonder where the third LA went? Used for steering perhaps. Quote
andythenorth Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Hauler Needs some extra panels. TLG dump trucks are too often lame and have open dump bodies. @ed-orange - you have to buy three - the extra one gives you the parts to add a third axle and create an A30F. http://www.volvoce.com/dealers/en-gb/vcegb/products/articulatedhaulers/A25F_A30F/Pages/featuresandbenefits.aspx Quote
Rishab N Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) Wow that B model looks great. Edited February 1, 2014 by Rishab N Quote

zux Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 B-model is more attractive than the main one for me. Quote
Gee Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Yep, I'm liking the B model better than the main model. Stick a few panels in the load area and another axle on and it'd be spot on. Quote
D3K Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Cool, that articulated hauler B-model is pretty much what I suggested a couple of days ago! Is it maybe the exact same vehicle? A little difficult to make out from this angle... Quote
Azzepa Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Now I am interested in this set. A Model is alright, B Model looks great, although it is missing a third axle. But we can't have everything. Happy enough to see TWO licensed models in one set! Quote
davidmull Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) It doesn't need a third axle. Volvo make a single axle version. Edit. The box says A25F which means it should have a double rear axle. Why would they call it a A25f if it only has one axle. http://www.trucksplanet.com/catalog/model.php?id=1019 Edited February 1, 2014 by davidmull Quote
ritztoys Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Guys, If you want dual rear axles, just build Designer_Hans' Volvo Hauler. ( This 'B' model is just a smaller version of the Volvo equipment like Hans' MOC ) I would mod the B model to look much better than Lego did with it, like D3Ks' picture above. I especially like the new bucket, how many studs across is this new piece? Quote
andythenorth Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) The box states very clearly A25F, but the model is a spitting image for this A25E http://www.favcars.c...-2008-11-154813 (There's maybe a two axle version of the A25F - all pictures I found were three axle). I can't find a 2 axle a25f. It's obviously a mistake on the box. Could they mess up something so obvious. Quote
JM1971 Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Anything put in the back of the B model will fall though Need modding. Quote
Ondra Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I dont know but I actually see this model interesting .Last videos looks superb and steering is fixed.I must wait to more videos and decided to buy or not this beast! Quote
EyesOnly Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Hauler Actually Volvo does use the word dumper several times in the text. But you are right about hauler being the correct english word. I forgot and used the swedish word which is dumper. Quote
jantjeuh Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 That B model is pretty nice, aye. Getting a copy for sure now. Quote
shadowhearth Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 B model is really nice, but ( always, But, I know ) I hate when they do non solid wall construction like that. It does make it unusable for playing too... Quote
Timoonn Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) The real A25F has 3 axles, so what a fail. edit: mh, no Edited February 1, 2014 by Timoonn Quote
EyesOnly Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 (edited) Some more info and data sheets for those that are interested. I recommend the one called transport solutions. It has info on the various configurations that the A25E can have, among them 6 wheels and even an extended chassis. Edit Oops was in a bit of a rush and forgot the link. http://www.volvoce.com/constructionequipment/corporate/en-gb/AboutUs/history/products/articulated%20haulers/Articulated%20Haulers%20Volvo/pages/Volvo%20A25E.aspx Edited February 1, 2014 by EyesOnly Quote
