davidmull Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Some more info and data sheets for those that are interested. I recommend the one called transport solutions. It has info on the various configurations that the A25E can have, among them 6 wheels and even an extended chassis. Edit Oops was in a bit of a rush and forgot the link. http://www.volvoce.com/constructionequipment/corporate/en-gb/AboutUs/history/products/articulated%20haulers/Articulated%20Haulers%20Volvo/pages/Volvo%20A25E.aspx Yes but our point is the A25F has 6 wheels not 4 Quote
Alasdair Ryan Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Yes but our point is the A25F has 6 wheels not 4 No if you look on the menu to the left it says there is a 4x4 version....Volvo would not licence something they don't make! Quote
N-4K0 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 The hauler with 4 wheels on the pic has A25E on it. It does seem to be both a 4 and a 6 wheel version of the A25E, maybe the A25F as well. Having a proper B-model makes this set more interesting to me. For some reason, seeing the most recent video makes me really want it, much more than before. Quote
irispen Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 (edited) 4x4? It should be a25e not a25f http://img.favcars.c...es_2008_2_b.jpg Edited February 2, 2014 by irispen Quote

Doc_Brown Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 (edited) Did anyone notice the yellow bulldozer in the top left hand corner of the pic? Is that the bulldozer people are wondering about, or am I late to the party? Behind 42024. Edited February 2, 2014 by Doc_Brown Quote

JaapTechnic Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 (edited) Uhm, Yes, nice B-model... Volvo A25D by JaapTechnic Edited February 2, 2014 by jaaptechnic Quote
AndroTech Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 IMHO, 42030 have one of the best flagship b-model in the last couple of years, ...... I like it, like it a lot ...... god job TLG ..... Quote
EyesOnly Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Exactly my point! Alastair there is no 6 wheel A25F do a search ;) Yes there is, as clearly seen in the pictures. And the A25E is also available as a 6x6. I have been trying to find a transport solutions brochure for the F-model but so far nothing. What i kind say is that the E-model and probably F as well can have many more things in the back than i thought. I have seen pictures elsewhere of a hauler with a hook-lift but there is more. Might be fun to know for those planning to mod their haulers or build their own. The standard amount of tires seems to be 6 but less is possible. Here we go: Low profile - For mining Light material 4x4 Extended chassis 6x6 Container hauler - Would fit nicely with 42009 Concrete mixer Wood chipper Timber hauler Purpose-built body? 6x6 construction tractor 4x4 construction tractor - looks kinds like a trailer. Probably has a fifth wheel Now the pictures i've seen are small and don't show much detail to if you wish to build it don't look at the brochure, try to find photos instead. Amazing vehicle for sure. Foggy Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Well, reading last posts, i like the b model even without the 3rd axel as was the b model of the 8854.. one question about both models, do you think are 4x4? the main as were the 8459 and 8265? Don't think the b one is 4x4... Quote
Dorino Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 (edited) Green engine looks very bad :( Edited February 2, 2014 by Dorino Quote
jorgeopesi Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Sorry if I didn´t see here yet, new bone liftarm piece near the articulated part?. Quote
JohannesESTONIA Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Made a quick video where all the pics and videos are together ;) Quote
shadowhearth Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Question: are those standart rims that you can get from other sets or those rims are specially for these tires? I think I will be getting this set and those wheels will get in handy, but I dont want them in yellow. Quote
efferman Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 they are the standard rims of 8110, 9398, 41999 Quote
N-4K0 Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 These rims are now for the first time in yellow, right? Quote
shadowhearth Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 they are the standard rims of 8110, 9398, 41999 Thanks. Quote
Theo van Vroenhoven Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I would like to build these models as well. But owning 42009, 8043, 8275 and 9398 I think I have enough parts to build it from my own parts. Or are there a lot new parts (apart from the green engine and the yellow rims)? Quote
davidmull Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Does anyone else think that every time we get a Lego loader the front loading arm is too long. The distance between the front wheels and the bucket is too much? Also I'm hoping with the loader fully down that it's actually touching the ground too. It would be nice to see this. Quote
tskyyc Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Is that a 6 cylinder engine? I like it... I'll definitely buy one. I have a minor pet peeve with the engines and that the crankshafts can only be arranged with 180 degree throws. A 6 cylinder engine with 30 degree crankpins would be cool. Quote

Not sure we'll ever see that ... but I agree that the current 'fake' engine has more than lived its life ... How about configurations such as W or 3-Cyl as seen on some German cars? Quote

Hope to find some 11 holes beam in green with engine and 3X3 L shape thin liftarms were nice in green, but lets wait til august to see final product... btw. Volvo does build 4X4 articulated howlers A25D models if I'm not mistaken. Anyway great B-model despite several 11X5 yellow panels "missing"... Quote

You are right, I guess is that the actuators are very short and have to win distance with the arms, if you build smaller the loader, you may have correct arms and distance to the wheels. Unimog wheels as the 42030 with better proportions. Quote
