January 30, 201411 yr Well ! so far none of the 2H sets don't appeal to me, only for the new parts they have. The new truck with all the red panels is great, because the Bricklink prices will drop alot. Can't wait for some pictures of the dozer now !!!
January 30, 201411 yr I like the rear end design, the front look is disputable. As would build it once and than scrape it for the parts.
January 30, 201411 yr I think that it was not well designed or even useful to play with. I'm not sure, but it just seemed as though the dumping bed didn't have a tipping panel to let the cargo slide out when you raise it. I don't think I'll be buying this set anytime soon. Actually i think it does. Unless i see wrong it looks like the rear panels can be tilted backwards to allow cargo to slide out. Granted this isn't how dump trucks do it. There it pivots on top and not at the bottom like here but it a pickup truck and they to work like that. Look at the blue friction pin to the rear left of the dumb bed. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/povratnik/9999-Box/42029-Pickup/6_42029_back.jpg Edited January 30, 201411 yr by EyesOnly
January 30, 201411 yr The tailgate on pickup beds has the pivot on the bottom of the tailgate. So it's correct. Edited January 30, 201411 yr by nicjasno
January 30, 201411 yr I'm pretty sure that is a new 6L liftarm in the back suspension. So I count 9 red 5x11 panels and 2 red 3 x 11 panels! SWEET! And I was just about to buy some on BL as well. I do think the model is a bit ugly tho. :sceptic: Should have looked like this,
January 30, 201411 yr Imho I think it was based on a baja style ford/chevy truck hence the weird looking front
January 30, 201411 yr Am I the only person interested in seeing what the B model is ? Nope, but after we know what it is we will probably wish we didn't know.
January 30, 201411 yr Am I the only person interested in seeing what the B model is ? I am guessing a Jeep Wrangler looking type of vehicle.
January 30, 201411 yr The front end looks terrible, and I thought for sure that as a "Custom" pickup it would include ideas and extra parts to customize it. I'm not digging the fact that it has no transmission or even 4wd, and the tires don't really look right. I would have personally added an updated version of the 24x43 tires, but for the new wheel hubs. Man, it seems that lately Lego is really dumbing down the sets. This would fit a lot better in the Racers line, like 40022. However, I'm probably going to get one, as I need them red panels for a project I'm working on.
January 30, 201411 yr looks messy and ugly overall :\ what happened to lego designers? Play too much gta V:) !!!!! All WTF's that designers should correct before final release of set: Red 3l pins with bushes should be hidden, no bushes outside Rear arch - 1 L hole: 2L beam shoud e replaced to 3L beam Front fender is ugly with beam holes Front grill should be brutal, may be with grill tiles. But not striped red/gray. This part of pickup should be the important p design and it introduces the whole truck! Front lights - replace to 2x2 round tiles to. Exhaust pipes holders are ugly Door and all around it.... Edited January 30, 201411 yr by rm8
January 31, 201411 yr I just want to see the bulldozer... Why didn't we get any photos of that?! Edited January 31, 201411 yr by Maaboo35
January 31, 201411 yr I agree that there are some things in the design of this model that could have been improved, but I honestly don't see how it is "ugly". But that's me.
