There is an obvious space behind the seats for a battery box. The roof has som pins that aren't even connected properly.

Sadly, it's most likely used to motorize the bed and not drive/steering.

No new parts truly spotted yet in any of the new sets?

You're right.... That is all that it is...

Thought about that too, and it could be. But it looks like a very bad design, for an official set.

Part is poorly connected!

And are we now stressing and smashing parts to limit suspension travel!?

Nice parts donor, shit model. For what it is it also uses way too many parts.

I agree, all those pretty red panels. Now to wait for a sale discount. :classic:

The look of the truck is an acquired taste. Looks like someone with much money to spend on aftermarket parts for his truck to make it stick out.

The sets of the recent past seem to be very poorly designed in general.

If i was to design a pickup, i'd use the unimog wheels and make the truck more look like a ford F350 or chevy silverado.

It's also have a 4 link live axle rear suspension and awd.

But that's me.

Yes, but that also sounds more like a large expensive Flagship where as this is just a medium sized set.

Not really... The size difference would be negligeble and the complexity increase would be minimal.

Inside the cab there is a changeover catch in the center, but also some kind of yellow lever next to the right seat. Could it have some kind of transmission?

That yellow lever most likely is connected to that changeover catch and switches the 2 functions.

I like it and am looking forward to it. The only negative for me is the red, and maybe the price. I would have prefered it in blue and I look forward to seeing what mocs and modifications come from it.

More please!

I thought that too, but then why is there an axle towball on the changeover catch? That doesn't make much sense to me.

Probaby just for a visual appeal plus it would make it easier to switch it if you wanted to reach in and change it directly at the catch...

I think that it was not well designed or even useful to play with. I'm not sure, but it just seemed as though the dumping bed didn't have a tipping panel to let the cargo slide out when you raise it. I don't think I'll be buying this set anytime soon.

I guess that I am in the minority here, I think the model looks alright. The only problem I see is because of those new hubs and the fact that the tires are not flat, it is just going to be wobbly as Hell...You can already see the wheels leaning different ways in the pictures...

I believe it's a V6 - I think I see the first stud of the 3rd cylinder in one image.

If you pause the video at the 31 second mark, you can get a decent view under the hood.. It looks like it has 6 cylinder blocks...

You guys might be right. I feel better now.

I'm 99% sure it's the snowmobile suspension arms in the rear. See here:

But the question is: why?

This is an incredibly lame set.

I thought they were as well because of that little hole in the end, but you can clearly see in this picture that the little hole is created from a tan pin going through a pinhole...rear1.jpg

I think they are releasing Fugly sets on purpose.....

i think back and all the beautiful sets I still have built and not changed them much - if I had this Fugly set I would have already changed the front by now

and added larger wheels etc.... = played with it more...
