zux Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I think this truck would look a lot better with a shorter bed or maybe just a shorter wheel base. Easy mods. No-no-no, then we would get less panels! Lets be honest, this set will be bought for parts mostly, so nice amount of panels in red (5x11 and 3x11) is good Quote
technicfan Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 This is a strange one, I wonder where Lego got the inspiration for this truck?, I have a idea for it though. Quote

Dans lego Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 quite simply in my honest opinion, lego is meant to be moddified and added to.. I personally already have a few mods I'd like to do with this set Quote
N-4K0 Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 If it's perfect to begin with, where's the fun in MODing it? Quote
aol000xw Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 You are wrongly assuming that MODing is necessarily improving Anyways I like this as a parts set. Quote
beach_dr Posted May 10, 2014 Posted May 10, 2014 any ideas on a price :) In our lego stores price set to be same as 42000 Quote

Eigenbroetler Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I feel like i`m the only one who likes this set. i like it. Quote
Blakbird Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I like the suspension arms and the red panels! I reserve judgment on the rest of the set until I get more information. Quote
Dooftastic Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 This is a definite buy for me. It has a ton of personality that most technic sets lack. Quote
Bricktrain Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Hopefully it is still available on !st August, all the new releases have disapeared from S@H for NZ Quote
Eigenbroetler Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 I KNOW that people going to hate me for this, but i think this one looks better and is more interesting than the 8070. Quote
N-4K0 Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 I KNOW that people going to hate me for this, but i think this one looks better and is more interesting than the 8070. I agree, but then, I'm not a fan of the kind of car(s) 8070 is made after. Quote

Anio Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 Any review of this set online yet? Here : http://www.techlug.fr/review-lego-technic/42029/pick-up-42029-lars-thygesen-2014 I liked the model before reviewing it. But the intensive use of U joints instead of regular gears in the mechanisms is pretty lame. IMO, U joints everywhere is typically the thing we see in poorly designed models... :-/ "Those 2 Technic axles don't match ? I will use U joints !" -_________- When the model is carefully engineered, the axles match. Next. Quote
Zerobricks Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 For some reason this truck reminds me of Trevor's truck from GTA 5... Quote
