Is that a new colour for Grampa's torso... anyone know? Can't work out what it is, looks like kind of a light sand red...

Figures are good, I won't collect them though, I stopped at S11. Been nice just to get a few Lego Movie figures for parts, and will pick up 2 or 3 of Simpsons ones.

Looks like flesh (Light Flesh, on BL) to me. If so, it could be fun to put a flesh head.

Figs are good. I really love Scratchy, Ralph and Burns. I might get Homer and Ned too, we'll see. But overall, this is a good surprise.

Great review, and I'm very glad that you took pics of how the torsos and legs look when given non-Simpsons heads. It served to aid my decisions on purchasing a few of them. :P Shame it couldn't have been done for Apu as well, though.

TRU near me and the only place I could find the Movie CMF was already charging $4 and over per fig. With the MSRP going up to 3.99 these are sure to be a $5 fig minimum around here.

Which doesn't bode well for future series because you know it never goes down. And sadly I'm fairly sure the market can take $4 per fig pack in this area at least.

Thanks for the review.

I'm encouraged by the tshirt arms which are cool. The high retail price puts me off a bit as does the accurate but very simple designs on the Torsos.

I do like the printed donuts and detailed accessories such as the bat and tail. The Maggie torso is also great.

These figures are excellently sculpted but I would much rather have seen more CMF's than a range of legoized Simpsons. For me the house was perfect. This may well get new fans into Lego so I'm happy enough with that but personally I would prefer to have more actual Lego figs.

I'll pick up one or two for the accessories but this will be the first series I don't try and get all of em.

Thanks for another great review Whitefang! Pretty excited for this series, hopefully Scratchy's tail can be flipped over and used on Catwoman, that'll look great! Looking forward to your next review, this format is definitely one I think all users should follow (when reviewing minifigure series, that is). I'm also strangely looking forward to Mr. Burns the most, his mold stands out best to me.

Another top quality review :classic:

The figures look very good and the new accessories and colours will be prefect for mocs. The only downside is the price increase, but taking into account the license costs and general increases in costs in production since the CMF line started it's still reasonable - as long as the non-licensed figures don't hold the same price when the normal CMF line resumes.

Don't know if there is already that info but at the German Lego Website there is an official press release confirming that the retail price will be 2,49€ in Germany for that licensed series.

This is the usual price for every minifig series. There is no difference.

original message:

"The LEGO THE SIMPSONS House is from 1 February 2014 available in the LEGO stores in Germany and Austria. The recommended retail price is 199.99 EUR or 259.00 CHF. The Minifigures Series license to LEGO THE SIMPSONS series will be available from May 2014 for trade (RRP 2.49 EUR or 2.90 CHF)."

Any link for that information? I am from Germany, too...desperately trying to find out what the cost is going to be!

I wasn't very excited when I first heard about the Simpsons minifigures, but now that we have pictures (and a brilliant review) I must say that I think the minifigures are quite sweet. I'll be choo choo choosing this series.

In a way so is Homer!

lol, you have some point!

I'am very glad that they wont rise the price in europe. 2,49€ are more than enough for one single fig.
