It looks great! It would be really cool if Lego decide to start making GB theme, I would definitely get every single set!

What sets would you want in a GB theme though?

ecto-1, firehouse, stay-puft marshmallow man, the building where the ghostbusters defeat stay-puft, the hotel ballroom, there's many possibilities.

I suppose it would be good for one wave. :classic:

A small ballroom set with slimed Venkman, Slimer, Ray with Ecto goggles, a table, a counter, and a chandelier. Small, $13ish set.

Small set. The museum with the Vigo painting and some other art, the pedestal, some toppling pillars. Minifigs: Oscar, Ray (slime blower), Jnozz (or whatever his name is) $20 ish. Maybe $25 with slime blower Winston.

Medium sized set. The Ecto-1A with the guys in grey GB2 gear. $50.

Large set-Scaled down Firehouse that has room for the Ecto, Janine's desk, and the office on floor 1, floor 2 has the Containment Unit, a pool table with a toaster, the suit closets, and a small kitchen, floor 3 has beds. Also a fire pole. Has Janine, Walter Peck, Dana, Louis, and the guys in normal clothes. $130-$200.

Large set- Dana's building with the lobby, her floor, and the Gozer stairs on top. Comes with possessed Dana, possessed Louis, the guys covered in marshmallow. Maybe make a mini Stay Puft around the size of Treebeard from Orthanc. $150-200

Last one: Brent's Stay Puft with the four. Switchable face plates and burn markings. $150.

Just a few ideas for a dream theme. Hopefully this gives you a few more ideas Brent!

Hopefully this is the right forum to post my LXF file. I've never used a forum before.

When I saw the LEGO Ecto-1 coming up I got inspired and after spending a couple of hours in LDD, here's my version of the Ecto-1 fromGhostBusters.

Hope you like it.

ps. 28x 11477 white should be replaced by 14x 15068 white

Evening Guys, did try and search for this but for some reason it wouldn't allow me to. Basically does anyone know when we can expect this in the UK, the only reason I ask is I tried to ask in the Lego shop in Newcastle (UK) and was told that they weren't allowed to tell me. Would one presume that it is coming very soon? I even asked her that if she couldn't tell me could she hint (ie in a month or two months......no!!) Never had that before

^There are rumours that it'll be available early for Lego VIP members starting the 15th of May. I think the official release is June 1st.

Ah that could have been why then, I just found it quite bizarre that she wasn't allowed to tell me, indicating that it was top secret and all that!! :classic:

I would assume it's June as with the rest of the world (though I would guess Australia will be behind as usual though)

Also if anyone is interested, I started a facebook page for all things LEGO Ghostbusters, https://www.facebook.com/LegoGhostbusters I'll be posting more LEGO Ghostbusters MOCs, mine as well as others and encourage people to share their own as well.

You've got some fantastic ideas there.

The VIP May release is the carousel thing so that's the early June general release. A Lego employee told me last week that Ecto-1 wasn't due until later in the summer.

I'm working on some stuff but it's hard trying to squeeze it all, I've got my local LUG (BrisBricks) expo in June so I'm preparing for that as well as some other stuff coming up. I did attempt one of the terror dogs but I've had to abandon it for now, I don't have enough parts, it's way too big for minifig scale (what I was aiming for) and the legs aren't supporting the weight atm. Here's what it did look like (reddish brown bricks were photoshopped to dark brown to see how it might have looked)

I may come back to it when I have more time, maybe do it as a statue style display thing rather than minifig scale

I had the same scale-problems with my version, but it didn't bother me that much. It looks very good in dark bricks. The eyes are superb! The almost have a metalic sparkle. Again, well done.!

I thought the Ecto-1 was going to be a June release?

Seeing as how the front of the box hasn't been shown in full (perhaps by stipulation?), I have a feeling this has the new 'Ideas' branding.

for the homepage it says lego.com/ideas so I guess it should be new logo, or no logo ;)

Nice comparison! WetWired/Brents chrome parts are way cooler, Venkmans haircut, too. But I think it turned out really well in the end. Ecto seems a bit shorter, but the tyres of the official one are really awesome.

I am soooo looking forward to get my hands on that. Hope this gets released in Germany on June 1st also.

The box looks great, but it doesn't seem final (no set number/ages on it, let alone a name or piece count for the West). You can see the back shows a link to LEGO.com/ideas. :classic:
