Uh, I meant "different characters and buildings", not "same".

I'd like to see a smaller fire station project filing, along with Janine and Louis. Hope that TeeKay, who didn't pass, can also bring us a better project based on this series.

At that point it's not even based on the Cuusoo project in question. Considering that involves (from what I've read) paying the fan-designer a portion of royalties, etc., how do you figure that out when you aren't using the fan's design as a basis?

Yes, that's the question I've mentioned. Unless TLC is willing to design a complete series of the GB theme, which isn't based on any Cuusoo project, it seems like we're not going to see the station at this point.

ok, so who wants to predict the accessories that will come with this set?

I am hoping the GB car comes with proton packs and guns for the guys (maybe not all 4 but at least 2 would be nice) and at least one ghost trap.

I also hope that the packs/guns (if the set doesn't include all 4) don't use any impossible-to-get parts so that people can get more parts easily and build the full set of 4.

Just getting a 1 x 2 tile with the yellow stripe trap printing (or even sticker) would be great.

I will have to steal the trap design from the CUUSOO submission (using the tap piece as a handle) for my own "Aussie Ghostbusters" MOC.

Sherlock would depend on getting the licenses from BBC (and if needed the estate of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle) plus it requires rather more new minifig printings and potentially recolored parts than a Cuusoo set would seem to be able to support. And I dont know how popular the show is with the right audience (heck, even I don't watch it and I normally like detective and crime shows)

In England the love for this show is massive. Wether lego thinks it enough is the main thing.

Personally I would love a Sherlock set. My 3rd favorite show ever

I have more photos here on my flickr page from last years BrisBricks Expo.

This is sad, that your batmobile was not considered for production(License is crazy world).I never imagine your flawless models of iconic movie cars side by side in city layout or on showcase.Official delorean look pretty dull in this company...

Did you consired another iconic cars such as K.I.T.T. or Bonds aston martin DB5 to make appearance on cuusoo?Your models have astonishing quality and many details for their size and you have enough followers to make it famous on the internet. Thanks for reading and consider about it :classic: .

Is anyone else hoping there will be a slimer will be included? if not, I guess I could bricklink one of these..

I do hope so but unfortunately they said they won't be creating new pieces for CUUSOO sets and I doubt they'll make him out of bricks.

The little Hutt would be a nice replacement but it's a Star Wars design and I don't think they can reuse it for a completely different licensed theme.

I'm not sure what the agreement with Lucasfilm would have been about the molds of a character or whether that sort of thing could be considered off-limits for reuse. It would be perfect with a new print and maybe in trans green.

I feel like I've seen some kind of SW molds in other themes but I can't think of specifically what it was. So I could be totally wrong.

Only thing that springs immediately to mind is Leia's Endor hair was on a CMF (but it was on the CMF before that Ewok Village was released.

As for the Ecto... this is going to look great next to the BTTF piece!!! Now, if only we can get a Buckaroo Banzai set :)

Lego did use qui-gon's hair piece on this hobbit minifigure. and the lightsaber handles have found their way to a few other themes. so I'm hoping they can do the same with the hutlett. whats the use of ghostbusters with no ghosts?

I think that it comes down to whether or not you could build a theme out of it. Once you do the DeLorean, where do you go with BTTF sets? Nowhere. CUUSOO is a PERFECT outlet for single set licenses like BTTF or Ghostbusters.

Well... There actually are a great many additional subjects from Back to the Future that would work well as sets. The project creators of the one extant set have done a whole slew of them, in fact.

Also, I hope we get a minifig or two of a character who is not a Ghostbuster.

That would be wonderful, but four minifigures is already a lot for a set otherwise based around a single car. I think they'll want to keep it to four to keep the cost and price down. The four ghostbusters themselves are all that were specified in the CUUSOO project anyway.

That said... I certainly would love to see Janine Melnitz and / or Onionhead/Slimer included, though the latter is probably right out as he'd probably be deemed to require one or more new molds to be done properly.

I love this idea! I was a BIG fan of the BTTF Cuusoo project and thought it was well priced. Keeping the "I Love the 80s" theme going with Ghostbusters is great...can't wait to see the figs!! Hoping this set is just as great as the DeLorean set, should be a great one, though!

Wonder what other 80s loving set is coming up..."Top Gun" F-14 with Maverick and Goose? Robocop vs. ED-209? The Goonies on the Pirate Ship? Ah...if only... ;)

A logical and interesting choice. Hopefully, the result will look better than their DeLorean.

Off topic: that Sara Moore sure knows how to work the camera! Am I the only one who thinks she looks a bit like Hermione...?

No, definitely NOT the only one that thought that, my first comedic thought was, "I thought Hermione was British?" ;-P "Who knew the next step from Harry Potter was LEGO Cussoo?" Haha. .

Honestly, I didn't know they sold these at non-Lego Store retail locations at all. I've never seen a Cuusoo set on a store shelf outside a branded Lego store, so as far as I was aware that wasn't an issue.

The Delorean sold in a few none Lego stores in the UK including an independant toy shop in Edinburgh & Waterstones bookshops

Really glad this won, I just hope TLG don't change it too much like they did with the BTTF Delorean!

Not sure how well the female minifig set will be received through Cuusoo TBH, maybe they will reappear in a future Friends line instead with minidolls instead of minifigs? Hoping they will remain as minifigs though, there aren't enough female minifigs

I will have to watch the video later. But I am not surprised this passed. I am disappointed in no Oz set then. My daughter would have loved that. I assume too many new molds?

That'd be my guess too. It's a shame though, it would have been nice to have a 'girl-friendly' licensed set/theme (that isn't super girly like Princesses).

I bought the BTTF set from the US Toys R Us online store (first time ever buying LEGO from outside of Australia) because they had stock and Shop @ Home didn't :)

Yup, the only way you can by Cuusoo in NZ.

Me too! I think it's pretty popular in NZ, although our market size is so tiny it probably doesn't even beep the TLC radar.

I really hope they do something like they did with the Back to the Future sets, have it so you can mod it to be from either of the movies.

I know if they go this route, I would be buying 3 sets. 1 for each movie, and 1 to keep new in the box.

It's interesting Lego's not nixed this idea, but the second it does (assuming that happens), we can expect a ton of bad PR will come its way. I wonder what scope there would be for running one chunk of the Cuusoo project as a small, cheap set, such as the scientists? (As for Friends, isn't the point being made that standard Lego has an absurd distribution ratio when it comes to standard minifigs, and so this could address the balance in a small way?)

In possibly related news, I really want that dinosaur skeleton. It looks ace. I'd buy that over the Ghostbusters car in a second.

It depends on their strategy about marketing the Friends brand. But most important of all, the members voted for "Female Minifigure Set", many of them won't buy the "Female Minidoll Set" since it's much different from the original idea, just like what you concluded. And yes, so far Friends/minidolls don't have enough variety, but you need another project to ask for it.

I did a few others for that display (turtle wagon, blues brothers car, A-Team van) but nothing I felt was worth uploading to CUUSOO (plus the blues brothers cars I almost directly copied from a picture of someone else's MOC I found online)

Also I have no real need to do KITT, there's a few on CUUSOO already and Orion Pax just added his awesome rendition

Also in case anyone is interested in the history of my Ghostbusters Lego, back when I was a kid I never really had any actions figures or anything like that. So whenever I was into something new (TMNT, Batman, Ghostbusters) I'd build it in LEGO.

I decided to recreate the version of Ecto-1 I made back in 1989, it's an approximation as I can't remember the exact detailing I used on the roof, but the design of the car itself it's pretty much as it was back then, in "classic 80s" LEGO car design format.

I had a little Ghostbusters logo I cut out of a colouring book or something I stuck onto the doors and my Ghostbusters used classic space airtanks for backpacks. I think I based the characters on their "Real Ghostbusters" appearances as I didn't really have the right torsos and there wasn't the variety of hair pieces back then as there is now. I think Egon had a classic blue spaceman torso and legs with a white police cap to simulate his hair from the TV show haha.

Anyway I can't wait til you all get to see the final model, it's looking great.
