Hi, I was just wondering what people around here think of the iPod Shuffle, iPod Mini and the iPod. Could some who owns one of these tell me in depth how the player is? I've searched for reviews but all they do is state the advantages and disadvantages..blah...blah....blah. I want to hear an opinion from a regular user. And are they worth it...

I own a 20GB third-generation iPod, and I have good friends with iPod shuffles and iPod minis.

I would recommend mine first, of course. At only $50 more than a mini, and four times the capacity (or is it five?). I don't have the clickwheel, but it seems to work well on the mini, so I assume it's the same for fourth-generation iPods (the available ones). I've had it for a year, with only the requisite scuffs from being run around with. It still works perfectly. Now, unless you're a gigantic music afficienado, you won't be able to fill this up. The only way I've been able to get halfway is by uploading audiobooks (which are excellent for long car rides, by the way).

There are also more accessory options for the regular iPod.

Shuffle is good for carrying a low amount of songs (it works excellently though), but that's not really what you get an iPod for in the first place.

Mini is good for style, and not much more. $50 for four (or five) times the capacity is a good price to pay, so take the iPod, not the mini. It's not worth the paint job.

Hope that helps! :)

Well the new generation of iPods have different prices. The new iPod Mini (4 Gb...also new 6 Gb model) is 249.99 CDN and the iPod is 379.99 (20 Gb)! Since the price difference is bigger, I'll settle for a Mini but I'll wait until it is on sale...maybe for 199.99 or something like that.

And Apple doesn't suck, they make the best products, most powerful computers, best quality. It's Microsoft that sucks.

You can build a much more powerful computer with PC components. And don't paint out Windows as a computer supplier - they just make the operating system. The main problem with Apple computers is twofold: 1) they can't be upgraded as easily as PCs can, and 2) a lot of programs don't support Mac.

But I like my iPod. ;)
