Wodanis Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 Oh, that was one of my earlier projects.......I was once trying to create a Danish village.....not easy when you are thousands of Km's away ! Though my bus stop was slightly different, the back of it and roof were different. (tankstation = self service fuel pumps - no shop, pay with plastic) Edit - link http://www.eurobrick...on#entry1134428 (half way down the page is where the bus stop was inserted) I like the use of the support stand for the mailbox. Interesting use of the glass panels with the bus stop. I have a bunch of those panels I purchased last year to recreate the stands from Public Transport station (8404) but I opted for my creation instead. Amazing job on it! Keep up the good work! Thank you LazyChicken Looks friendly, I wonder if octan will be more evil now with the movie. This looks great btw Thank you. I do have the Lord Buisness Mini-figure...maybe his evilness will end up charging higher petrol prices haha. Quote
lightningtiger Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 You could have Lord Business doing a press conference out the front of one of his new evil brainwashing.....er, I mean gas stations ? Quote

Hrafnblod Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Skimmed over the thread and didn't see it asked but, where's that baseplate you used from? Assuming it is a baseplate, it looks like one. I've never seen it. Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Amazing work! I love that shop! Quote

TheLegoDr Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 That looks really neat! I actually really like the gas price sign. It may be flimsy, but I think any thicker wouldn't look right. The overall design is neat. The bus stop works well. I'm not sold on the tree design. seems too thick for how sparse the leaves are. Also, did you say $150???? If it is what you love great, but that's a lot of $ Quote

If it is what you love great, but that's a lot of $ I brick-linked most of the parts so the shipping costs/fees are factored into that estimate. If I had done it through BnP or PAB I surmise it would've been around $70-80 range Quote
TheLegoDr Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 That makes sense. LEGO could be cheap if it weren't for shipping! Quote
ER0L Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Nice. I think the designer of the shop (thanks for the link LT) should at least be named once in this thread: it's danthaman11. Quote
LukeWarmTea Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Oh come now, why oh why is this not an official set?! This is brilliant! I would argue that the 'back' (far left wall in the 1st pic) would have to be open for playability, and probably no roof, but the colours and details are spot on TLG standard. :D Excellent! But, where are the cars?! Quote

But, where are the cars?! Thank you very much LukeWarmTea! I suppose I could redesign the back wall to incorporate a hinge brick to open up that way. However the roof is detachable just like the modular buildings. I left the cars out of the photos as they got in the way. Hehe Edited February 4, 2014 by Wodanis Quote
LukeWarmTea Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 My daughter would be smitten - seriously, you should be very proud. Quote
Godtshep Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Love the interior One suggestion though would be to add a magazine aisle inside, since while it looks really cool, it is a bit empty. Quote

Bipin Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 Very nice construction; the station has a nice, more tasteful aesthetic. You've integrated natural scenery well into this build. Quote

Thank you for your compliments. They are very much appreciated. I tried to take photos of having the station adjacent from the modular buildings but unfortunately my photographing area isn't large enough to accommodate it all. However it does blend in in with the modular buildings nicely. I think if I had to do this project again I could definitely reduce the cost. Quote
