The speeder looks fine for the most part, but the swooping width would look more accurate if it went from 6 to 8 studs instead of the current 4 to 10 studs; just my two cents though.

Yeah, there's no way they'll accept this since it's about killing a kid. You don't need to be the "child police" to see that ;p.

Might as well have a "murder of the younglings set" because it doesn't stand a chance either.

It's too bad too because the set is pretty neat looking.

All due respect, I wasn't antagonizing, nor I was I trying to sound that way. You just have to see not everyone's gonna like your execution of an idea. And the "thanks for your input", sounds like sarcasm because you obviously didn't appreciate my feedback. I respect that, but don't try to thank me when you didn't appreciate what I was trying to say. This whole quote is showing your attitude to all who have been trying to help you. Now I know I'm not gonna support, because of a bad attitude I have been seeing from your replies.

edit: sorry for the double post.

No thats where your wrong. I respect people who 'tactfully' give feedback and those who dont frankly dont deserve my respect. You came on here and had a go at me about the set and really didnt back up your decision not to support it until I asked you what you didnt like about the speeder. If you dont have the decency to speak tactfully then Im going to take it the wrong way. You say that my bad attitude has stopped you from supporting the set but that is rubbish. You didnt want to support it in your first comment towards me. So dont have a go at my attitude.

Yeah well I really just designed the set with the speeder in mind so it could easily be redesigned. Thanks for liking it.

With this 'child murder' discussion, people seem to forget the newer General Grievous' Starfighter? A set that features a Padawan (Nahdar Vebb) who appeared in just one Clone Wars episode and got killed in said episode by Greivous. Yes, LEGO will produce (young) characters that die.

Exactly!! Preach the truth please. :)

Yet when I said what you could do to make it better, you attacked ME. You said that you don't care about what could be done to make it better. You support who support you back, and attack who doesn't. You DO have a bad attitude, and I'm sorry to say, I can't get behind this idea. And you did yourself in by attacking me for unhelpful feedback, which I gave in my second (or third) post.

edit: it was my first AND second post.

I like the concept, but (a) poor execution(I really don't like that speeder), and (b) you could make it just Bail's speeder, include the characters, but also maybe a battle droid or something so that killing the kid wouldn't be the focus.

I just don't see your models worth supporting. You do have good Ideas, execution could use some work though. Just my two cents.

Also regarding Flickr, I got an account a few months ago just to post images here. My main problem is taking pics seeing as how I only have an android and that's a pain to upload with. But, I don't see why you can't use Flickr. Besides, just use somewhere else.

This comment started it. You said you don't see my models worth supporting, and that they are poorly executed. On a thread about someones work you simply can't be that brash and rude. Say it more tactfully next time and I'll be more inclined to listen to it. I don't mind some feedback but don't attack the model "I really don't like that speeder", without giving reasons why. I know you did but only after I asked you to. I realise that not everybody will like my design and I really don't mind if it goes nowhere, but I just like people to show some respect in how they say it.

Ps there are lots of sets based on gory or dark scenes in the movies so just saying! For example tusken raider encounter is based on a scene of anakin slaughtering the tuskens out of revenge. Child friendly? Not in my opinion. But the set was marketed with the bike as the focus.

General grievous starfighter is based on a scene where nahdar vebb a Jedi youngling or apprentice is killed. Your argument is invalid ;) lol kidding

Yet, in these "cases" (sorry to take this further), none of the killed characters are either children, or human. They are aliens, based off a fictional universe about corruption, death, and war. Things that just can't be escaped in life. Besides, none of Lego's sets say, "kill this guy", they simply want the kids to have a small fight, then the two parties make up and have coco later!

well firstly sorry for being an argumentative pain, and yeah well they were aliens but they still had a life and family and love like humans. I guess? ;) coco sounds good! Maybe I should add some to the set.

It's okay. As for the coco, it's why Ackbar always has his mug!

Yes, it's true they're still living beings with families and personalities. But there's a difference. The viewer relates more with human characters than aliens. Aliens are fake and so most people aren't overly invested in them as characters unless they've been highly developed (Which many of the Star Wars aliens end up being undeveloped). It's a little unfair to those characters, but we naturally care more about human beings over fake creatures.

The other factor is that gun violence against children is a big issue right now. So when people see guns pointed at children, whether a work of fiction or not, it conjures up memories of real situations where children have been gunned down. Child deaths are more tragic as they lived life less, they never had a chance to live. So Lego avoids scenarios like that. Lego has portrayed some violent scenes over the years, but there are limits. Gun violence against children would undoubtedly land them in hot water.

Well said, I think it would be reckless for any toy maker to cross this line these days or face the wrath of 10's of thousands of parents.
