Bob De Quatre Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 The Zenith was designed to escort diplomatic missions. It's sizes are 800 meters long, 240 meters wide and 290 meter height. (1 stud = 5 meters) Four main engines and three thrusters allow the Zenith to achieve high speeds comparing to ships of the same size, both in sub-luminar and superluminar speed. It has strong deflector shield, that could also protect any docked ship. The armament is composed of 3 twin-mounted turbolasers, 20 double laser turrets, ion cannon, concussion missiles and proton torpedos. (Click for larger pictures) [/color] Quote
LegoFjotten Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Jaw... dropped... Need some time to digest all those photos, but this is spectacular! Quote
MstrOfPppts Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Masterpiece! It already looked awesome in LDD, but in real bricks it's so much better. The details all over are astonishing. Great job on this project! Quote
Lord Tyrus Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 You actually built it!!! It's beautiful! Dare I ask how much it cost...? Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 Thanks all for your kind comments You actually built it!!! It's beautiful! Dare I ask how much it cost...? It costs... way too much Quote
Ritz Brick Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Oh wow, that is one beautiful ship made better in Lego, great job, always a pleasure to see your work. Quote
pihlbrick Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 (edited) I have been longing for this post ever since I saw the parts build of flickr. That thing is SO awesome Bob! It's not enough to put this thing through cuuso, this ship should be made part of old republic canon and then featured somehow in ep7! And then it should be made as an official LEGO set :) Serious thumbs up! Edited February 2, 2014 by pihlbrick Quote
Nom Carver Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Bob, I love the look of your rendered creations but seeing this in real bricks makes it appreciate its dimensions a lot better Quote
wokajablocka Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Looks sweet Bob, how often do you actually build with physical bricks? From memory most of you builds are in LDD. Quote
korpen4444 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 DUDE! This is just, PACKED with awesome! I love the curves, the dark red, the engines Awesome job! Quote

Bob De Quatre Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 Thanks everyone That thing is SO awesome Bob! It's not enough to put this thing through cuuso, this ship should be made part of old republic canon and then featured somehow in ep7! And then it should be made as an official LEGO set :) It can't be a good set, since you can't swoosh it... Looks sweet Bob, how often do you actually build with physical bricks? From memory most of you builds are in LDD. I only got very old bricks, so when I want to brickbuild, I need to BL every single brick.... I've done that for my SSD, for the Zenith, and I'll probably do the same for a few smaller ships this year. Quote
Mr Man Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 You built it . Seeing it like this, it's much more evident that it could belong to the same lineage as the Hammerhead or even the Nebulon-B. Quote
Only Sinner Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Jesus, Bob you've managed to blow my mind - again! Quote
SinWolf89 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 It's waaaay too beautiful to describe I'm speechless! Quote
MKJoshA Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 I had to do a double take to realize it wasn't LDD! This is such an iconic ship of the Old Republic and your rendition of it is flawless. Quote
TWP Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Great! You've finally completed the real one! I have to say it looks even better in real life - I mean a picture of the real thing looks even better than a picture of LDD. Did you actually change something of what you did in LDD? Quote
Mr Breden Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Amazing! So great to see you built it in real life too Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 Thanks I had to do a double take to realize it wasn't LDD! This is such an iconic ship of the Old Republic and your rendition of it is flawless. What ship are you refering? The Zenith is an original MOC... inspired by some canon ships. Did you actually change something of what you did in LDD? Well I didn't do many modifications: - I assembled the "head" and "shoulder" (mmm that could be a good brand name) structures as there was a bending problem - I added a way to hold the modules together with removable technic pins, since I wanted to keep the modular structure (see picture below) - I had to reinforce the vertical structure inside the Nebulon B like area as it is the weightier part of ship - The big angled dark red parts in the same area where really hard to assemble, so even if it was buildable the way I designed, I changed it and used ball joint. And that's all, expect some cosmetics or colors changes. Power Rangers! ASSEMBLE !! *cough* by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr I'm pretty proud of the stand. I also designed it on LDD and wasn't sure it would hold the weight or tip on the side. But it do it's job very well. The Zenith is just laying on it, there is no connection between the ship and the stand. Quote
MKJoshA Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Well that's embarrassing. I thought for sure this was based off of this ship for KOTOR: Quote
Chills Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 WOW!!! Bob you built it! The ship looks awesome, way better than I imagined when you posted your LDD MOC. You also got all of the parts and constructed it a lot quicker than I thought you would. DIG! I love the smooth flowing forms, and the intricate details. And I see the shuttle docking port, very cool. Now, what are you building next? Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted February 3, 2014 Author Posted February 3, 2014 Well that's embarrassing. I thought for sure this was based off of this ship for KOTOR: *snip* The head is actually inspired by the Thranta class corvette. WOW!!! It's been sitting on my desk for two month now... But I wanted to take good pictures, so I waited to have a new camera, install a studio, and wait for a sunny day Next I think I'll build the Whitefang... The starfighter, not the global admin Quote
Kelso Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Amazing build, I really like the details! Quote
DarthTwoShedsJackson Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 It's beautiful, both in colour scheme and shapes. And yes, models like that need to be built with real bricks, because this makes them look even more awesome! Quote
