Well, think also Designer Han has models worthy being part of the HoF (and of course some other deisgners i have not mentioned yet), but which one? probably the Snowcat or the latest Stone Trailer truck... jorgeopesi Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I think we all have our own Hall of Fame, it is impossible to make one here and agree with the additions. The Hall of Fame will be full of amazing MOCs but if we don´t vote them the additions will only be a representation of the taste of a few. If I was a moderator my particular criteria would be technic, machinery, mechanisms and non-structurally fragile. Why I consider part of the Hall of Fame should be for the entire forum?, it takes much more than a staff to make that decision and stating that I have been moderator and have left voluntarily because it is very difficult . Sariel Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 His models will go in the Hall of Hamsters Or the Hamsters of Fame?! That would be Hamsters of Fat, I think ;) Quote
Jim Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 That would be Hamsters of Fat, I think ;) Fat hamster or Fat collection of great MOCs? It turns out to be pretty difficult indeed. MOC of the Month, Hall of Fame, etc. Since it's a Eurobricks Technic Hall of Fame, for me it's important that I can link to a topic here on EB, instead of an external link. Of course, the topic can contain external links etc. Quote
D3K Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I for one feel that a rule should be that the MOC in question, would have to be submitted here, on the EB forum, by it's original designer. As for criteria to make it into the Hall Of Fame, I too mean the most emphasis should be put on technical features, and the ability to perform these features reliably. After all, it is TECHNIC HALL OF FAME, not Model Team Hall of Fame (something for the future?) That being said, I'm kinda surprised that Jonsson's Blue Angel Soft Tail Chopper was put in there so quickly.. Don't get me wrong: The model is absolutely brilliant, but it's not exactly "Technical"... in fact, IMO it falls more in under a Model Team category..? Just my 2 øre Quote

Just my 2 øre It the Technic's section Hall of Fame, so it's including Model Team. In other words; everything that's posted in this forum, Technic, Model Team and Mindstorms. From now on, I will add every frontpaged MOC to the Hall of Fame. That's why there are only two entries currently. Both have been frontpaged. I will make sure to include this in the first post. It was already in the first post, albeit not so clear: "Exceptional MOCs, which are worthy of the Eurobricks frontpage" Changed to: "Frontpaged MOCs will be directly added to the Hall of Fame" Also added: "MOC needs to have it's own Eurobricks topic" Also added: "MOC needs to be Technic, Model Team or Mindstorms" Quote

Jim Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 Just my 2 øre I for one feel that a rule should be that the MOC in question, would have to be submitted here, on the EB forum, by it's original designer. I definitely agree with the fact it should be submitted here on EB. By it's original designer......yeah I think that might be useful So suggestions in this topic should have an image and a link to a submitted topic created by the builder himself/herself. Changed: "MOC needs to have it's own Eurobricks topic submitted by the builder of the MOC" I probably need to change the name to Hall of Fame, instead of Technic Hall of Fame. Or maybe you can come up with an original name, being more than just Hall of Fame, but making clear it's including Technic, Model Team and Minstorms. "Technical Hall of Fame" Quote
Kumbbl Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 So suggestions in this topic should have an image and a link to a submitted topic created by the builder himself/herself. Changed: "MOC needs to have it's own Eurobricks topic submitted by the builder of the MOC" well, this new rule eliminates quite all of my suggestions ;-) IMHO with this rule we loose a lot of really outstanding MOCs in the HoF, but well, your decision, it's fine for me... It's a though call, and it's not final, but since it's a Eurobricks Hall of Fame, I do feel there's a need to be able to discuss the MOC here on EB. So just a link to MOCplans, external blog/website, or something, doesn't add value to this forum. By the way; all the MOCs you've posted are discussed here on EB. I'm just not sure whether these topics have been created by the original builder. So the need to have A topic here on EB: Definitely! (no debate) A topic created by the original builder: Open for debate (but I do like this suggestion) Quote

I'm just not sure whether these topics have been created by the original builder. well, this bold marked phrase is the problem i see...for the rest i fully agree - AFAIS Grazis Tow truck as well as Sariels, Jennifers excavator, the supersize mini supercars, barmans V8 - all of them are not introduced by the designers theirself but brought to discussiob by impressed users, members... but IMHO our HoF will not be a HoF when some of this benchmarking models are not contained... just my 2ct A topic here on EB: Definitely! (no debate) well - one question: Is it necessary that the first post of the thread broaches the MOC or is it possible linking to a thread where the proposed MOC is mentioned in one of the following posts (e.g. for Grazis Tow truck there is no dedicated thread which start with this model but a thread with topic "5571 Black cat" has been changed to a discussion about the Grazi tow truck: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=25600entry463621) Does this satisfy your new rule? D3K Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I would propose a rephrase: The creator of the MOC should be a member of the forum! I just remembered there have been several occasions where someone have stumbled upon a truly outstanding MOC by a member of the forum before they themselves have been able to post it here! Of course this should not disqualify said MOCs Also, there have been occasions where the creator of a great MOC have joined the forum after the posting of the MOC on the forums Quote

And with our latest guidelines alteration, you can create this topic yourself - well, i will do - AFAIC Grazis Tow truck is my only suggestion where this is needed... Quote
jorgeopesi Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) I thought the thread was to show new members the great MOCs around the world but ok only our MOCs. Edited February 4, 2014 by jorgeopesi Quote

Blakbird Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 I really wish there were instructions. So do I. One excellent way to encourage Sheepo to make more instructions is to make sure to by his existing instructions. Instruction making is a huge amount of work, so it makes sense to show him we appreciate it if we want more! Quote
aol000xw Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 So is this only Technic? Or model team and mindstorms? What about http://www.eurobrick...topic=85102&hl= ? Quote
D3K Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Edwin's boats are definitely worthy of Hall-of-Fameness! Personally I like the RPA 15 better though Maybe it's the colours? Quote
jantjeuh Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Damn those boats are gorgeous. A blend of Technic and Model Team at its finest. Quote
unimog123 Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Those should definitely be in the Hall of Fame!!!! Quote
Blakbird Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Mini supercars SuperSizeMe from Arvo Bros.: http://www.technicbr...-supercars.html While those mini supercars are awesome, and while they are meant to look like real Technic supercars, the mini models themselves are not Technic models. There are no Technic parts in them. Quote
