David Thomsen Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) Seriously, when I go to the Lego Movie Soundtrack page on iTunes and click 'preview all', and the music is way better than I imagined it could ever be. But you get that with Mark Mothersbaugh. Go and listen to 'Saloon and Wagons', for example. I wish I could link it on YouTube, or find some other website that has the music in full. And the 'Batman' tune is hilarious. Listen to the lyrics. Edit: I'm talking about the score by Mark Mothersbaugh, not the theme song 'Everything Is AWESOME!!!', regardless of what word I used in the heading. Edited February 4, 2014 by David Thomsen Quote

Cammo Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 (edited) I don't like it one bit :/, the first and probably only thing that is a minor disappointment. The Emmet's Morning, Emmet's Plan, Saloons and Wagons, My Secret Weapon & We did it! are the only ones I enjoy. Edited February 4, 2014 by Cammo Quote
coolcab1 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 EVERYTHING THING IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
Legogal Posted February 6, 2014 Posted February 6, 2014 It sounds like one very cool score from the iTunes samples and at 7.99US is not a bad deal. May still wait til Feb 11th to get the Amazon CD for 10US because it is easier to load and play on all the devices in our house and has higher audio quality than the mp3. Mark Mothersbaugh (previously of the band, Devo,) is quite an accomplished composer with many film scores and video game soundtracks under his belt. Glad they chose him to compose the score. Quote
David Thomsen Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 Thanks Haltiamiela for the Spotify link! Sadly I'd never actually used Spotify before, or I would have looked there... listening to the whole tracks helps me know which ones I want from iTunes, but I'd already bought 'Escape' and 'Saloons and Wagons' based on the previews. Thanks for letting me know about this! I'm a big soundtrack fan. Me to. Soundtracks let you relive the emotions of a movie when you're not actually watching the movie. I'm particularly fond of POTC music as well. Quote
Flobnomdob Posted February 23, 2014 Posted February 23, 2014 I love the soundtrack too! It's been on constant repeat since it was released. "Saloons and Wagons" has got to be one of the best action/western/crazy songs there is, alongside "Finale" from the Lone Ranger soundtrack. But there is loads of extra music in the film (And I do not mean Star Wars) that did nit make it onto disk. Quote
TheBrickPal Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 I'd buy the soundtrack to play Everything is Awesome 24/7. But other than that, I really like Emmet's Morning. Quote
