Posted February 5, 201411 yr So... I know 8070 is old and you hateit, but i love it. :D and i'm also just come out from my dark age and so i'm very enthusiastic. :D this is my second work/mod with technic. i'm a noob and i'm learning, so comments, questions and opinions are welcome. instead of a lot of words, i made a video + photos. https://plus.google.com/photos/105094294360898128335/albums/5976708377902719649 it is not perfect, i don't have space to secure the axle of low gear, so there is some struggling in startups. but.. this is a mod and a good exercise.
February 5, 201411 yr Not perfect? This is AWESOME! Absolutely stunning first creation. :wub_drool: The gearbox selector/spoiler (and everything else) is ingenius! TLH
February 5, 201411 yr nice! I haven't built my 8070 yet as I used it for the GT500, but will have to consider it now!
February 5, 201411 yr So... I know 8070 is old and you hateit, but i love it. :D I love it too! Even working on a motorized white version, so I will be looking at your video very carefully
February 5, 201411 yr My first studless set, totally love and hate it! Superb job with these mods! Great filming and editing too!
February 5, 201411 yr Absolutely fantastic! I especially like the way you did the transmission plus spoiler, and the music of course!
February 5, 201411 yr Author wow, i'm embaracced Not perfect? This is AWESOME! Absolutely stunning first creation. :wub_drool: The gearbox selector/spoiler (and everything else) is ingenius! TLH Nice work! As bad as the 8070 is I love it too thank you! the funny part is that gearbox is a last minute idea during the "motorizing" work nice! I haven't built my 8070 yet as I used it for the GT500, but will have to consider it now! you can have fun a couple of days with this mod, but as i said, it is not perfect. continue to consider 8070 parts for GT500 :D anyhow, honored! I love it too! Even working on a motorized white version, so I will be looking at your video very carefully i'll wait your work as a student facing more skillful teacher! is there any LDD for 8070? i'd like to modify it to share and also to store my ideas (lack of parts...) My first studless set, totally love and hate it! Superb job with these mods! Great filming and editing too! i noticed that users in this forum like also good filming. :D :D Well in this video 8070 looks awesome and sure 8070 isn't as hateful as 8653. i'm italian, nothing near "Ferrari name" is hateful wht's the problem with 8653? Absolutely fantastic! I especially like the way you did the transmission plus spoiler, and the music of course! R'nR !!! thank you
February 5, 201411 yr My guilty pleasure is that I actually like 8070 a lot… In the past I made a mod for a rotating in-cabin steering wheel ( see http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=513354 ). Do you think that would fit too? Do you plan to make instructions (in any kind of way)? I would really appreciate that! Edited February 5, 201411 yr by rener
February 5, 201411 yr i'm italian, nothing near "Ferrari name" is hateful wht's the problem with 8653? It was so dissapointing when I got it... I just expected more. A Ferrari sticker is not enougth to make a model compelling. Well most cars after 8080 have been dissappointing to be honest. Edit: Your own mod shows how a model can be made compelling.... Do you think that would fit too? Do you plan to make instructions (in any kind of way)? I would really appreciate that! It was an option, but the first point for me was using 2 L motors, so no space. If an ldd file of 8070 esists, it is my pleasure to draw the mod. It was so dissapointing when I got it... I just expected more. A Ferrari sticker is not enougth to make a model compelling. Well most cars after 8080 have been dissappointing to be honest. Edit: Your own mod shows how a model can be made compelling.... 8880 i suppose :D That was my last model built, but as a kid who only read instructions. I'm reading it is mythological, but i don't know why. Lol. One year ago with 8070 i discovered the studless in lego.. After the surprise i appreciate it a lot esthetically so i love both 8880 and 8070. :D About the second part: i don't care anymore about economical politic approach of companies.. I mod everything: car, motorbike, guitars, my Marshall etc.. They sell to me and i personalize to my needs. Edited February 5, 201411 yr by DreamsKnight

February 6, 201411 yr I got an 8070 for christmas and so far I've added better steering and suspension geometry and 4wd as well as a v10. I'd like to see an lxf of the gearbox too as I plan to add more functions to it such as my drive selector mechanism controlled by the gear lever (front, rear or 4wd) Edited February 6, 201411 yr by SNIPE
February 7, 201411 yr Author Very slowly i'm rebuilding the chassis as lxf. These days i don't have much time but i'll do it. :)
