Hello, here I am again with another entry for the AoM challenge, this time it is the stable phase ll.

So, here I am, far in the cold north. I need to build a stable here, said Alfadas, my lord. Nice. How am I going to build a stable with less then zero building materials. Luckily I found a not so old abandoned tower. I found a note inside that said that the persons who lived there went further to the North. Are they the ones Alfadas send to build him a tower here? Must be them, the note was written in a very familiar handwriting. Must be getting close to them. I need human contact. For weeks now I have been traveling in this snow landscape, with only a horse and very little food and water. Water isn't a problem, everywhere is snow. You melt it and you have water. Food is the biggest problem. But I lived till now, so I am happy. I demolished the tower, using the wood to build a shelter for the horse. At night I used to hear weird and scary noises, but a few days ago, that stopped. Wonder what made that sound and why it stopped. Well, that is my story till now, see you next time!

That's it for now, hope you like it. To be continued...

Thanks! well, the snow is only there because the wind blew it there, and it froze in that place. About the snow it more builds, I am a member of the Snow Guild, so what are my build if there isn't snow in them?

Ah, sorry I wasn't clear, I meant tying in the story, not the snow! And good point about snow freezing there- I don't experience snow all that often, so I'm not too sure on the physics of the thing!

O, haha, No problem. Yeah, I quite like the stories I make up, and I hope you like them too. I don't experience snow too often here in The Netherlands, but sometimes it is freezing and there is a strong wind, snow will stick to walls, even completely vertical. But that is rare in my area. I just thought it looked cool.

It's true, snow can blow onto vertical walls and stick. I see it all the time where I'm from. I like your stable. It's a very unique style and works well.

The best part of this build is the angle of the roof, looks very Norse! I think you should use that roof technique on a larger build some day

Thanks, and you know what the best part is? It isn't even connected, I just placed it on top of it. And now you say it, it indeed looks like a roof. So yeah, I am going to use it someday as a roof.

Get that horse out of there and warm yourself in there! xD Nice moc Alfadas! (then again for the cc part of it, try not flash the moc from near, or shoot outdoors, evenly light moc etc  )

Thanks gunman. I know, I need to improve pics.

@kabel. Well, the phase lll will be very big, with stone and room for more horses. So a lot of changes. Is that okay, or do I need to change phase ll?

If your phase III build is very good, then that will be fine. Just make sure to take your time and make a good MOC.

The lean-to looks good, I think the ground could use some more texturing and a drift of snow up against the wall of the lean-to would look nice :classic:

Ok, good. Then I will start building, and keep on building for the next week (or longer), till I am 125% happy with the result.

About the snow, I am still working to get my snowscaping right. But I will keep practicing, and someday I will improve. Thanks!
