Ellaria taps her lips. "The guards seem to have locked themselves in here. How peculiar..."

"Do you mean the guard roster?" Ellaria asks, taking out the slip of paper.

"Best I can do so far...

Upon hearing Ellaria's voice Skrall holstered his crossbow. "Father Grogmas. Who'd ya think it is? Ya gonna let me in already?"

Ellaria turns to the others, excited. "It's Skrall! Oops, I mean Garlin, of course."

"Hey, Garlin!" she shouts through the door again. "We seem to be stuck inside this room. There were five guards here, but they were... umm, taken care of. We can't figure out how they get here in the first place, since the door is locked and they had no keys. We cannot find any secret entrances, either. Have you seen any sign of Zoe?"

Suddenly remembering she has it, Ellaria takes out the Magic Compass and thinks of the female infiltrator.

"Why didn't I think of this sooner?" she mutters to herself as she waits which direction the arrow points to.

"Haven't seen her, but there's another door up here. Haven't seen any keys either and this door's too small for me to get my full weight behind, though I'd guess an explosive might do the trick. I could try the other door, I'm guessin' that's where they're holdin' her. Any exposed hinges on yer side that ya could try jimmyin' loose?" Skrall examines the door for exposed hinges.

Ellaria and Atramor

Ellaria notices the lock has a double cilinder. It's quite something.

Suddenly remembering she has it, Ellaria takes out the Magic Compass and thinks of the female infiltrator.

The Compass points through the door they are all standing in front of.

Nyx and Boomingham:

Results of Round 9 of the Sewer Showdown.

Nyx vs. Abe - Damage - Abe no longer stunned

Boomingham vs. Abe - Critical Hit - 9x2+35x2= 106 damage + Stunned

Nyx vs. Abe - Spell Counter - Abe no longer stunned, Abe dead.

After a long hard struggle by the Elemental, Boomingham and Nyx manage to finish off the last enemy together, Crushing it's skull.

After getting a reading from the compass, Ellaria shouts through the door again.

"Garlin! You said there was another door there, right? Because I got a reading from my compass that Zoe is somewhere behind you. Also, did you see a guard on the Common Room on your way up here? I'm thinking maybe he has the keys to this door. His name is supposed to be Rio."

Atramor examined the lock thoroughly and grumbled.

"Double cylinder lock. You need a key on both sides. Unless they locked the guards in, there's a key in here, and a key out there. Or maybe just in here."

With little other options, Atramor tried to pick the lock.

Ellaria peeks into the balcony to see if the cat is still hanging around.

"[Are you still here, Mr. Silkywhiskers? Would you happen to know how to open that locked door?]"

"You can have as much or as little of the loot as you want, Nyx, makes no difference to me." Boomingham glances down the sewer. "Once we divvy it up, shall we continue? The others are probably worried sick about us by now."

Nyx looks over the loot, especially the Bone Scepter.

"Why can't he have been carrying something that gave the 'dead' second type? I don't know what to do with this. The paralyzing venom seems most useful, and it might be best applied to one of your weapons than mine, Larry - let me know if you want it. The rest of the stuff I'll cart around for now in case some of the others want it, and if not I'll share it out later, is that ok?" she shrugs, turning

"Right, well, this is no place for either of us to be, so let's get the hell out of here. Onwards, old friend."

OoC: I should have gained 10 gold.

"That paralyzing venom ought to go to Atramor, but until then, you hold onto it. Might I also trouble you, dearest, for one of your Phoenix Essences? I haven't got one of my own, and there's more security if I've got one as well. I'll repay you for it when all is said and done. But then, yes, as you said, forward."

"Look. There's supposed to be A key. Not two keys, just one key, a key that COULD fit on either side of the door. That's what a double cylinder is. Focus on finding the key, okay? Wasn't one of the guards a Jailer? Jailers have keys, right?"

There is no cat, there are no structural weaknesses, Atramor's lockpicking fails, he hurts his fingers trying and takes 5 damage.

Nyx & Boomingham

Nyx and Boomingham climb up the ladder out of the sewers, open the manhole at the top, climb out... And stand face to face with a figure that stares blankly at the two, covered in snake guts and sewer waste!

OoC: If we're playing this by logic, all the guards should have a key to their resting lounge. :tongue:

"Apparently you did not search well enough", Ellaria says, nudging Atramor with her elbow. She then goes to search the zombie guard for a key.

OoC: I think the problem is that we don't know what the puzzle is. If it's related to the guards' schedule/pay/etc. then perhaps, but if it's a big game of hide and seek for the key than probably not. :sceptic:

Find out who the jailer is with the clues provided, Find the key.

I will never have you aimlessly search a room. That would be dumb. If it wasn't clear, you should have asked for clarification on what to do. I gave you the clues for a reason.

Ellaria searches the Zombie, carefully, every nook and cranny, even lifts up a few flaps of rotten meat, and can not find a key. The heroes have one more clue, the Zombie is NOT the Jailer. Also, the heroes slide the clues under the door for Skrall to read(And Maxis who is patiently leaning against the wall).

"Obviously you're not half as proficient as you think you are, 'Mr. Badass'. Look, you filed through their pockets, took their valuables, that's fair enough, but clearly they want to keep their keys safe. Now we can't go searching all of them like the lady did the rotting guy. It takes too long, it's messy, her fingers are all dirty with who knows what... These guards, are dirty and who knows what they're carrying with them, and I ain't talking about keys here. I should know. Search the one you're sure about."
