Waterbrick Down Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 "That's all I wanted to know. I asked you nicely, maybe I should have just punched you repeatedly in the face until you told me." Nyx glares at the girl and stalks off towards Skrall. "Hey big guy, can you give me a lift up? I wanna get up on the roof over the fire, maybe see what I can see. Wouldya mind?" "Sure thing," Skrall helps Nyx to scale the scaffold. "Pardon me a moment gents." Quote
CMP Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 She crosses her arms, and raises her eyebrow at Atramor. (Or rather, turns her already raises eyebrow at Atramor), and says: "...Was just giving the lady some advice, some people here are seriously bad news... Oh, I see what is going on, you two are lovers, looking for an exciting place to do it, and you ended up here. You're in Yoren's Square, in the Lower District. Welcome, my lord." She performs a mocking curtsy for Atramor with her last words. "No, just sick of the usual way this seems to work. We ask people for information, they act like we're idiots and we don't get anythin' useful. I'll give ya' credit though, usually it ends up with some local gettin' themselves killed tryin' to teach us a lesson or somethin'. Ya' seem smart enough to avoid that." Atramor rolled his eyes at the girl's curtsy. "Aye. Sure. Now where can this lord find a drink? Haven't seen this many drunken beggars about since I last visited a Draidan tavern." Quote
Zepher Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 OoC: Come on guys, they aren't Scuba NPCs if they aren't unnecessarily rude to heroes. Beautiful set by the way, Scuba. That winding staircase... and the colored lighting.  Seriously impressive! Boomingham glances around. His questmates are busy being turned down by just about everyone in the square. Boomingham's eyes narrow on a gray fur covered werewolf. He makes his way over casually. "Greetings there, chappo. How are you doing on this fine evening?" Quote
Scubacarrot Posted February 13, 2014 Author Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) The girl gives Atramor a weird look. "You look like you can afford plenty better than what we drink in Yoren's Square, my lord, if you don't mind me saying so. There are plenty of taverns on the way up to the High Quarter, as you know. However, if you are pressed on living the life as it is in the streets, Jackson can usually hook you up some cheap booze. He's the fellow in the blue jacket with the long hair. Maybe this information is a worth a few coins, my lord?" While almost half the square is now looking at Skrall and Nyx, Skrall lifts Nyx up, she can barely climb on... and get's face to face with a startled, unsavoury looking figure. "Waddhaya want?!" "Greetings there, chappo. How are you doing on this fine evening?" The man coughed, and managed a small grin: "I'm sick. Better stay away if you don't want to risk catching it, friend." Pandora Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 OoC: Have to agree with Zeph, your MOC is gorgeous Scuba, really nicely done. "Waddhaya want?!" "Dunno yet. What've you got?" she looks around, climbing level, always facing the questioner "Is that your knife? Can I have it? And what're you doing up here?" Quote
Scubacarrot Posted February 13, 2014 Author Posted February 13, 2014 "Got Nothing. My knife. My crates. Watching. Got to Watch. Thieving Humans, Thieving Elves, Thieving Halflings, Thieving Orcs..." The figure goes on to list an impressive list of species he classifies as 'thieving'. Thanks guys! Quote
Zepher Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 (edited) The man coughed, and managed a small grin: "I'm sick. Better stay away if you don't want to risk catching it, friend." "Hm. Might be that I can help you with that. See that girl over there?" Boomingham points to Ellaria. "That's my daughter. She's quite a healer, and she can mix a powerful remedy as well. We're mercenaries from the High Kingdoms. But that doesn't mean we can't help the small folk here while we wait for our contact. Looking for a certain gang, hired by their leader in Eubric to come and give them a hand here. Think you might be able to be fixed up? A healthy guide certainly wouldn't go amiss." Boomingham scratches his neck. His eyes keep wandering away from the werewolf, unable entirely to meet his gaze. Edited February 13, 2014 by Zepher Quote
Pandora Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 "Oh, ok. Well, at least I asked about the knife. So, is there anything else to see up here aside from thieves? What species are you, out of interest?" Quote
CMP Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 "Please. I grew up on rum that tasted like it'd been distilled outta monkey shit. I'm sure whatever fruity wine they pour up there ain't worth what they charge ya' anyway. I'll pay ya' as soon as I'm outta questions." Atramor looked sideways at the rest of the crowd, then turned back to the girl. "Lotta werewolves here. Haven't seen many of 'em in a while, where'd they come from? Quote

"The way you people are stumbling around I figured you weren't from around here. *Cough* You'd have to be a bit more specific, there are a lots of gangs in this city, friend. Green Plague... It's curable, I can't afford a healer or doctor though... And I refuse to go to that bloody clinic. Not sure if I'd be much help as a guide, but I will answer any questions if you can cure me. Huh, I didn't you come in. I must be in worse state than I thought." "Oh, ok. Well, at least I asked about the knife. So, is there anything else to see up here aside from thieves? Anyway, the brown one, Boris... Nothing to fear from him, he just drinks and sleeps a lot, sometimes he's in his wolf form, sometimes in his man form. Likes to scare children." "Like I was sayin' rough neighborhood. Anyone up fer a little Mead?" Without saying a word. The elf grabs the mead out of Skrall's hand and empties it with a single swig, while his companions look on enviously. Edited February 13, 2014 by Scubacarrot Quote

I promise. I have full faith in her skill. And once she does, perhaps you can direct me to the Wolfgang, or any rumblings you've heard about them." Boomingham turns to Ellaria as she approaches. CMP Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 (edited) Atramor tossed a pouch of 10 coins to the girl, grumbling about useless information as he returned to Boomingham and Ellaria. "Think we're wastin' our time here," he muttered, looking back over his shoulder at the beggars. "We oughta go look for Purple and the others, I don't think these people know nothin'."
