February 11, 201411 yr Minas Morgul since it can offer a much more interesting build and it even can include a witch king figure.
February 12, 201411 yr Ya, except it would be at least $100 more than the battle pack, minimum I gotta go with Mordor Battle Pack again. I feel like getting a cheap way to army build orcs is much more important than a city only featured in the film a few minutes, no matter how cool it may look. I'd agree, but it's so much more than just a city only featured for a few minutes, I think that's why I'd go Minas Morgul. Although a Mordor battle pack would be convenient... And on top of that, I feel like it'd be a little more likely to get some more unique molds/printing that would mix well with some of the existing options. (as few as they are). I know Minas Morgul is an important location, but I am just looking at it from the casual fan perspective. Much like the Corsair pirate ships, it gets very little film time so might not be a huge hit with the more casual fans. Especially if it has a $100+ price tag. A Mordor Battle Pack on the other hand would be a cheap way to build your orc army and hopefully it would have some new prints and armor to add variety to what you already have. MM would definitely have more unique characters though, or at the least the possibility. Gothmog, the Witch King, some lesser named orcs, etc. A "real" Mordor BP ($12.99) would maybe have a named orc and 3 generic grunts. If it was $30 though, it could theoretically have the Witch King and some orcs. He actually would make a decent option because with a simple hood swap he could serve as more Nazgul too. At any rate I was just pointing out how they would both have great appeal and MM wouldn't simply be a bigger Mordor BP. They both have pros and cons. Edited February 12, 201411 yr by Deathleech

From a logical stand point the Mordor Battle Pack would most likely a better pack, and a lot easier to market and sell. I was looking at it like a dream set list rather than a marketable one. A $30 battle pack with the Witch King would be really cool actually, it'd make it a lot easier to get 9 wraiths. Unless they give him some kind of special unique printing, which I seriously doubt would happen.
February 13, 201411 yr This one is tough because all of the past match ups were within maybe $30 of each other. As much as I'd like the Mordor BP, I've gotta go with Minas Morgul. It could have all of the minifigs from that BP and be an awesome, unique castle.
February 14, 201411 yr Minas Morgul This could be an awsome dream set with lots of GITD bricks and a nice assortment of orcs. Of course the BP would be a good marketable set, TLG dosn't seem to be interested in making small BPs for Middle-Earth anyway. We're talking dream sets here, so the glowing fortress of evil FTW.

Ya I agree… It would be much more expensive. So I think I have to go with a orc army builder.

That's the crux of the discussion, a dream set should be grand in design and I feel a mordor battle pack is just too pedestrian and underwhelming. A glowing fortress with tons of figs would be a great set and unique, a crowning Lego achievement.
February 15, 201411 yr I thought it was a dream set... but still something Lego would realistically do?
February 15, 201411 yr Minas Morgul of epic proportions! I would jump up and down for any and all battle packs but big massive sets are what really does it for me.
February 15, 201411 yr Author The Dream set is as grand or as basic as each individual poster would like. My vote is for the Modor Army Pack since it could be great as an army builder. But in my mind, it has new helmet molds that could be used to make Sam and Frodo disguised as orcs while sneaking to Mount Doom. Minas Morgul does really speak to me but it would be an awesome with glow in the dark about $250 or more.
February 17, 201411 yr Author Minas Morgul routes the Modor Battle Pack 25 to 16. This round is concluded and the new round is about to begin.
