I hope that Rex, Ventress, and Maul's (I know about the comic, but I don't care) fates are continued in Rebels, Shaak-Ti is next seen in series 3 of Clone Wars (no 'the'), as for her final fate, TCW made it look as though it will be being killed by Vader in the Temple.

Also again. Fives noooooo :vader:. Fallen like dominos.

That was worse than all Jar-Jar episodes ever.

If we go with the standard assumption that anything Lucas specifically filmed himself is the authoritative cannon, then Shaak-Ti died at General Grievouses hand aboard the Invisible Hand at the start if Ep III. It's a deleted scene. Similarly there is a deleted scene of Anakin cutting down Jocasta Nu in the Jedi Temple during Order 66.

Those scenes are considered non-canon. They weren't part of the film and the effects weren't finished in those scenes. The only way that they could be considered canon is if they were to be included in a later version of the movie. The chances of that happening are very slim now, since the 3D rerelease was cancelled and Disney seems to be distancing themselves from the Prequel Trilogy.

Wasn't there a scene in RotS where Padme tells Anakin she is pregnant? So there may be a bit more time in the actual movie than we are accounting for. Either that or Anakin is an even bigger idiot than we have long thought? "Hey Pad's you puttin' on some weight?"

To be fair he WAS stuck on the outer rim sieges for x months. It might have completely passed him by. I know Anakin and Padme conceived the twins during Episode 22 of the old Clone Wars series.

"Difficult to see. Always in motion is the future." - Yoda.

Remember Shaak-Ti has died like 4 times now. The visons show all the jedi charging the clones (including Mace and Obi Wan) and Ashoka dying in the temple during order 66 so I don't think the visions should be anything else other than "look at this vague thing that may or may not happen"

I've taken "always in motion is the future" as said by Yoda to mean that the future isn't set. Visions can be of possible futures so they don't really mean anything but possibilities.

So what happened to Cad Bane and the other Bounty Hunters?

Other than '"there was an arc planed"'. We don't know anything, it's possible they were hired to break Poggle and Tambor out of jail.

Wow, I'm surprised anybody actually liked these episodes. I recently finished watching them, and man, am I glad these didn't actually air on TV. Not only would kids and casual viewers be bored by them, but I would have been furious if I had to wait one or more weeks in between each episode, just to be disappointed week after week. They all had a nice dark tone and connected the series to ROTS a bit, but they were so poorly done that anything good about them was pretty much nullified. The only arc that was kinda good was the Fives one as it explained how the clones were able to turn on their Jedi friends so quickly during Order 66 and showed what would happen if a clone found out the true purpose of their existence, plus that droid was quite likeable. However, even that arc had its flaws, mainly the fact that it was quite a risky move of Palpatine to just blatantly tell Fives his masterplan, even though his plan to make him seem crazy worked. You'd think the Jedi would have taken Fives' words more seriously, especially after what Yoda sees in his visions later on, but to the convenience of the writers, they don't.

As for the rest of the episodes... ugh. Honestly, Filoni and his team are just trolling at this point, because the other three arcs were centered around all the things that people hated most about the PT and CW: Padme, politics, Jar-Jar, and the over-explanation of the force. While I am far more lenient towards these things than most people, I can't help but feel puzzled at why they keep focusing on the weakest parts of the PT. Perhaps Lucas still had a say in the development of these episodes? Either way, this could be excused if these arcs were actually good, but they weren't. The Clovis arc dealt with more political stuff that no one really cares about and more of Anakin loosing his temper over Padme. Did we really need that? The Jar-Jar arc gave us a bit of closure on what happened to Mother Talzin and showed some surprisingly interesting chemistry between Jar-Jar and Mace, but ultimately felt like unnecessary filler as well. But the worst of them all was the Yoda arc. While it did explain what happened to master Sifo Dias, a character who is important in the initiation of the Clone Wars but was only glanced over in the movies, and answered some questions about the force that the PT opened up, it only helped cement the idea how inexplicably ignorant the Jedi Order is. After learning all this, they still act like nothing happened, just because the force told Yoda this is the destiny of things. Yoda acts as if the war is already lost, but even though he didn't know what exactly was going to happen, it seems unlikely that there is nothing he could have done to prevent some of the bad things from happening and save the lives of at least a few Jedi. So, in the end, these episodes make it look like they pretty much let the Dark Side win. As Edmund Burke once said, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."

In short, I think these Lost Missions should have stayed lost. They were too drawn out (like many of the recent arcs), were mostly pointless and boring, and did little to tie up all the loose ends of the series (yes, I know this was not their intend, but it should have been, seeing how this was going to be the last season) and are a testament to what's wrong with this show. I know a lot of people are upset about the cancellation of the show, but I for one say good riddance. With Rebels, they have the opportunity to start anew and learn from their mistakes, but from what I have seen so far, I am not impressed.

Sorry for this rant, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around what the heck they were thinking when they made these episodes.

I disagree. First the Clovis arc was from series 4, so it was all ready to go but there wasn't room in 4 or 5 for it, I would have thought it would do better as a extra arc on the series 4 DVD.

I get the feeling that the Jar-Jar arc was the only one of series 6 they had ready to go fully made, and opening arc to the series. Whereas the Fives and Yoda arcs seem like they had to be made from scratch (judging by the huge amount of time we had to wait for them).

The Yoda arc seems to be the sticking point for most people, but if (until further information is available) you accept it takes place a couple of days before the battles of Nelvaan and Coruscant then there is no time to do anything about the knowledge of the clones been ordered by Dooku.

The force spirit things told Yoda not to divulge the contents of his vision to the others, so he didn't, then on Kashyyyk not only can he feel the deaths of all the Jedi, but also that it was his fault for blindly trusting the Force rather than common sense. I also feel that's why he was so easily beaten by Sidious in ROTS, everything was happening at once and he feels responsible for it all.

I think you/re interpreting these episodes wrong. The priestesses never told Yoda he couldn't talk about his visions. That was a decision Yoda made himself because he thought the war was already lost, but even if this took place the day before the Battle of Coruscant, he still could have done something. The Jedi Order was already assembled, ready to hear what Yoda has to say, and all he had to do is say: "Guys, some serious poodoo is about to go down! It probably has something to do with the clones, so watch your backs!" But no, he just gives up and lets the Sith carry out their plan, and that's what bothers me about this arc, that he's not even trying to do anything about it.

I believe that this arc was meant to change the way we think about the Jedi in ROTS. Instead of thinking: "Wow, they really screwed up," we're supposed to think that they kinda already knew what was going to happen, but also knew that they can't stop it and that there is still hope in the future, but that fails miserably due to the reason I stated above. So yes, maybe you're right that Yoda was feeling a bit of guilt during ROTS for making such a stupid decision, but I think he also didn't bother to fight back too much because he knew it was his destiny to train Luke.

I also don't think that they made these arcs up just for the Lost Missions since they take a long time to produce, they already had finished footage of The Lost One a year ago, and Filoni hinted that there would be more episodes like the Mortis arc a while ago, by which he obviously meant the Yoda arc. So, as someone said earlier, these were just the arcs that happened to be finished by the time the show got cancelled.

By the way, I have to agree with BrickG; using blood and chanting spells seems more like a Nightsister thing to do, not a Sith, so that felt out of place too.

I really hope you're as critical of Rebels as you were of The Clone Wars. I won't hold my breath though.

I will do my best. While I am not as passionate about the Rebels era as I am about the Clone Wars era, I always expect a certain level of quality when it comes to Star Wars. We can't expect every show to be as good as, say, Avatar: The Last Airbender (I still can't believe Filoni directed some of the best episodes on that show and then went on to direct this train wreck of a series) but Star Wars is one of the most prominent franchises in history, so I think we can expect better quality than this. And the more I see of Rebels, the less I am looking forward to it, so expect lots more critique from me in the future.

You make some very valid points Oky, I agree mostly with you. Over-explaining the Force kinda kills its mysticism, and Yoda withholding all the info about his vision is mindbogglingly stupid. I only disagree with you about the Clovis arc, these episodes felt kind of mature, you know being 30+ you sometimes like to get some more adult-content (even if it is crossed with ridiculous jealousy fist-fights...) and I admired Emperors' chess moves, it's very political (and kind of hints to a much closer galaxy...) and well-elaborated on scheming side, with still some fun snow-surfing :classic:

Rejoice Clone Wars fans! Disney / Lucasfilms have done something unexpected today. They have publicly and officially released the last 4, raw, unfinished episodes of The Clone Wars on Starwars.com. It seems like a 4 episode ObiWan / Anakin Utapau arc as they search for a Jedi's killer. The voice work and chemistry between Matt Lanter and James Arnold Taylor would seem to be some of the best in the series. And some of the moving flying battles really make me wish that these episodes had been finished. They would have been gorgeous.

Granted the animations are just the placeholders and look like a 90's Playstation. But the voice work is all finished. And the stories seem great. Perhaps the best element is we finally get a little bit of closure re Ashoka. At least from conversation between Anakin and Obi Wan. Oh and in a related note unfinished Magnaguard animations look surprisingly like Lego droids.

Wow, I'm going to have a look at these later. Maybe the Rebels team could be persuaded to animate them in their spare time .

Hate to break it to you, but those weren't the last four episodes of the show. They were four episodes from an Anakin/Obi-Wan arc that would've been in Season 7 (and we know they had 8 seasons planned). The last episodes would've led directly into ROTS, i.e Battle of Coruscant.

I never said they were the last episodes planned. Just they were the last put into production. In the introduction video they also talk about the planned stories that have been turned into the Dark Horse comic and the Ventriss / Quinlan Vos story arc that is becoming a Christie Golden novel.

I think the grey ones are supposed to be Kamino security. They have the exact same markings as the red Shock Troopers, who are Coruscant security. Whenever I see a picture of one, my first instinct is that it's just a greyscale image of a Shock Trooper.
