Thanks for the feedback guys!

They're not based on real building as such but I have used ideas from real buildings in places.

Interiors are on the list to be done and i have some ideas but I want to finish the square and some of the exterior detailing around the buildings first.

Cheers

These are both fantastic! The first one is my favourite - I particularly like how the dark blush grey feature frames the building.

I would love to see some interiors for these.

The castle in the background between the two contemporary modulars is kinda out of place though...

I could say that:

"I like the diametrical relationship twixt contemporary and historical"

But the truth is:

"The castle is big and not very strong so is stuck where it is for the duration..."

Your MOC has given me ideas about how to create modern buildings by using "clean lines" and accent colors. I'm going to try this oneof these days.

These look great, too bad I'm running low on most of the needed parts to create something like this.

Nice one rriggs!

The building shapes are very interesting. I like the choice of using dark tan for the pavement, I'm also looking forward to seeing the interiors!

On a slightly different subject, the teddy hanging on the door reminds me very much of mine when I was a child. I don't have it anymore! :( Never throw it away!

I was pleased with the dark tan pavement too. I'm trying to give the new end of the town a different feel to the more standard modular street that I'm also building. That said, even my standard modular street has wider pavements than normal and flower beds running the length of it although it is dark grey as you would expect.

I just need to get the square between the two modern buildings right and then I can start on the interiors. I think one of the buildings will have flats upstairs and the other will have offices. I then need to decide on what retail to put in on the ground floor.

...and don't worry about ted - he's been with me for 30 years and isn't going anywhere!

Cheers

Hey Rrigs,

Great contemporary buildings. I like them both with a small preference for the first one. I like the different vibe they give of in contrast to the traditional modulars. As others have said, looking forward to an interior. Perhaps on could be a modern city hall?
