I never have my VIP card and they always just look up my e-mail address, no problem. Been to LEGO stores in California and Florida and they not only invite me to take the survey but always write their names at the bottom of the receipt in case I wanted to mention them (I always do :) Just shows that they take pride in their level of service.

Made a quick run to my LEGO store this Saturday, they staff was friendly and helpful, despite the place being overrun with children. I was going to pick up The LEGO Movie Super Cycle Chase set- when I got there, they didn't have any on the shelves and I was figuring I'd have to settle for something else, but after talking to an associate, they found several in the back they hadn't had the chance to put out yet.

Thiswas my third or fourth trip to this store, and I've never had a complaint with the service- maybe the 'overrun with children' part is a bit trying, but hey, it is a toy store after all...

Both Atlanta area stores have some of the best, most helpful, and most knowledgeable staff I have ever seen in retail. I wish more stores were up to their standards.

I have only been to the Alpharetta store one, just to look around, so have no comment. The Sugarloaf (formerly Discover Mills) store I go to about once a month, on average. I've only really had a problem with the older woman (with short hair). I don't know why... it's like I'm some sort of thief or pervert or something... she hovers around making comments while I'm feeling up minifig packs, follows me around the store... I think I remind her of an ex or something.

Everyone else seems awesome (no pun intended).

I've not experienced a Lego Stores yet.. However, I have experienced service from the Lego website and their own support team. Ordered some bits, as you do. On Saturday last week, they arrived this morning, Monday, impressed. Got excited to build, however, 1 of the bags 80% of the parts where missing including mini figures, so called and got a replacement it's due here tomorrow. Pretty impressed

I guess it depends on how much over the top it was. I've been over, but they were like "that's close enough" and then they tape on the top. I've never heard of them removing pieces to the lid fits snug. They should at the very least alert you if they were going to have to do that. I understand not wanting to abuse the system, but there should be some leniency somewhere or it should be strict everywhere.

Well, the lid could still fit, but not lock in tightly ... could have made it hold with a piece of tape. My issue was not the store policy per say ... it was this overzealous/ugly/obnoxious kid wanting to be holier than the pope .. I did not pay attention to what he did with the cup because I often visit that store and never had any issues ... It was just that single event that left a sour taste in my mouth. What he took out was maybe 50 cents worth ... but it did upset me way more than that. I'm way over it and never lost any sleep though.

My local LEGO Store in Natick, MA is always a great place to be. There is always very helpful staff there. They've helped me feel for Collectible Minifigures, answered my questions, and more. Amazing experience every time I go, however the store is always full. Nobody can ever get too tired of LEGO!

The Houston store in the Galleria has fantastic service. The employees are helpful and friendly, and I usually find myself striking up a short conversation with them whenever I go.

Service in Lego shops is usually great. The only issue I have is that staff is usually reluctant to let me know if they have other parts not on the PAB wall. In terms of wrapping, some employees occasionally go the extra mile and wrap the PAB box in an individual bag; that way, there is no chances that pieces fall out.

I too want to know what this "wrapping" of a PAB cup is. Do you mean they didn't put it in a bag?

They tape the lid shut with a piece or two of packing tape. It keeps it from accidentally bursting Lego everywhere.

I just visited the Chandler, AZ store today and did PAB for the first time (pics tomorrow in the PAB thread). The staff was fantastic, talked to me the whole time, knew I was interested in tile pieces and checked in the back for me... and pulled out some great clear blue 1x2 that I went totally overboard with (even forgetting to pack in some flower petals to go with the stems I already had in there :(). Fantastic experience; looking forward to going again.

My store's had those...I've probably gotten 200+ now.

The staff at the LEGO store in Manchester have been great each time I've been in. They all seem to be genuinely interested in LEGO, and and are always cheerful and helpful (especially when it comes to the minifigure packs).

The quality at my home store is amazing. The staff know me by appearance, so when I go there I usually have one of the staff members saying hi. They also can carry out pretty knowledgeable conversations about the products, that and the fact that they put up with my incessant questioning. One of the associates today actually demoed a product for me, he showed me the little jumpers from the HERO FACTORY sets, and also showed me the mini-robots, another store associate showed me the Mixels after we had a conversation about them, he pulled one out of the case and demoed it for me. I really can't describe how much they have done for me though, every single associate, seems to care genuinely about their customers and product.

Visited the Lego Store in Liverpool several times and have always got very friendly and polite service from the staff. No problems and even when i have forgot my VIP card they have simply looked my email address up so no lost points.

I go to the Water Tower Place store quite a bit, and after ten years I don't have one bad thing to say- the staff there is incredibly nice and really seem to enjoy what they're doing- some are pretty passionate about it, too! I've also been to the store in Freehold, New Jersey, and they were just as good. It's nice to see such a high level of service in multiple locations.

I took the kids out to enjoy the day in Chicago ... A stop by the lego store is a must.

I picked three sets, with a total value exceeding $600. During check out, I asked for 3 separate transactions so the kids get a free polybag each. The cashier (a young adorable girl) was all smiles and willing to do this, until an obnoxious (sorry) fugly manager stepped in (with a loud voice) "No, only one polybag per household". I objected, explaining that I could send my wife and son and have them make the purchases separately. She stood her ground and won't let me say a word ... What a loser!!! I walked away, drove to the next Lego store (45 mins away) and got the same sets + 3 polybags.

My logic? you get 1 free polybag for any purchase over $75 .... if I'm spending $600, that's worth EIGHT polybags ... I only asked for 3 (or else the kids would fight if I get only one).

What the heck is wrong with holier-than-the-pope/minimum-wage employees?

Sorry for the rant ... but something at TLG level must be done about this.

You really should file a complaint with lego... One thing they are famous for, is customer service, and they will definatly not tolerate behaviour like this from their employees.
