just2good Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Rightttttt before it's released. The $250 price point is pretty high, but this set looks great! Quote
Captain Nemo Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Such a cool set! I'm surprised to see it has six cannons (Rather then just the three you see on the box!), and I love that mini Metalbeard! The whole thing is so gigantic. I'd love to have it, but I'm not sure on the price, it's a bit high. Quote
robuko Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 The UK price looks surprisingly good. I wish they had kept the golden octopus from the movie, I loved that stern so much. Quote
SMC Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 US $249.99 - UK £169.99 wow Tower of Orthanc was US $199.99 - UK £169.99 Quote
Ondra Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I love steampunk but this is crazy.Exclusive D2C set but aimed at kids, I dont know if this will be huge seller. Quote
Laservampire Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I love that Benny has the classic smiley face on one side! Quote
The Brick King Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Woah!!! (Quoting Emmet) Awesome! Though I'm having mixed feelings about the MiniBeard. He just looks, meh. Anyway, I don't have enough words for the ship. That thing is BOSS. Quote
Legoman123 Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I really want to know what is in the bottom deck. Quote
Sir Brickalot Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 *Screams with excitement* Yay!! That looks amazing! Quote
Samiens Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Is it still likely to be available to VIP members tomorrow? Must buy asap! Quote
MrBrick&BoB Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Thats amazing! And thats an amazing price :D The set is really fantastic and creative. I love the whole shape and the steampunk style. Cant wait to see it in real! BoB Quote
TheBrickHitHouse Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 What a display piece! And what an incredible price - they are giving this away for so many bricks, a star wars set would have been £275! It might be a hopeless mash of bizarre styles - but it just has 'it' that 'wow, it will display great' vibe. First day buy for me. Love the mini Metal Beard - think he looks better actually. Quote
Brickmasta Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 A-W-E-S-O-M-E I am so gonna get this set, incredible!! Quote
Rufus Posted February 16, 2014 Author Posted February 16, 2014 I really want to know what is in the bottom deck. There's a picture of it - where the cannons are with Benny and Emmet. Quote
snaillad Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Want this even more now that the official pics are out. Price isn't too bad for us the UK considering how many pieces. Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Awesome, awesome, AWESOME!! Not sure if I will pick this up -- it'd probably be for Queasy Kitty, Vitruvius, and Benny. -Sci Quote
BlueberryWaffles Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Woah. Wooooooaaaah. It's $250........but OF COURSE I AM GETTING IT! It's amazing! Play features, interior, cannons galore, Benny, double decker couch, Queasy Kitty, adorable mini MetalBeard, Micro Managers, Really the only things I don't like is no gold octopus and no Batman. (but honestly most of us have him already) Quote
dr_spock Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Holy cow. lots of nice pieces and a pirate ransom price. It does look fun to play with. Quote
Risgrynsgrot Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 It looks awesome! I really like mini-metalbeard, I love how all his details are just shrink, I especially like that brickbuilt little shark! It has tons of details, massive size, what's not to love? Well, it's the price. I find it very sad that it's 169 pounds in the UK while being 2199 DKK - That's 240 pounds (!!!) It will probably be even worse in Sweden. And being an exclusive set it probably wont fall in price much at all either. I'm hesitating if I'm gonna buy it. Quote
zux Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 DE 249.99€ - UK £169.99 That's quite big difference in price :/ Quote
Gremer Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I think that it looks worse with these pictures. there's too much going on at once IMO, and it looks too cluttered. I'll wait for a review first. Quote
bekindsorewind Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Amazing. Still will be a day 1 purchase. Quote
