I don't think a charity-type thing would be disrespectful, I just don't think it would work for this project.

There's no money being made here to be donated. I'm sure the only ones to profit from this endeavor would be the company that prints the arms and the seller(s) that we get the arms from. The way things are being structured, it seems that all the money paid in will go to actual production and shipping costs.

I wouldn't be surprised if his family/friends set up a charitable thing in his name at some point. They probably have other things on their minds right now.

--------------DELETED to avoid things to escalate, have said what I had to say.

UPDATE: Been talking with Cyril and I have decided to leave this die down and wait and see what happens. (I'll be deleting the info above about what happened for now and since the end results will be the same more or less a few euros in expenses).

Way I see it it's mission accomplished either way, soo thats that.

Hello,

My name Is Cyril,

Im one's reseller of NACM product,

Even if i understand your frustration, i dont thinks this forum Is the good place for a war... Almost all using a private conversation...

So, calm down, and let us find a way on it, we all want the same thing no ???

Making those arms come true ;-))

Cyril I'm not airing private grievances in public you know me better that that, just informing of what happened. I'll post the emails on my flickr of the project (--only if things go bad--). I promised full discloseure from the start, good or bad, either I'm in the right or not.

But hey good news people the arms are getting printed either way, so you all win.

Just sent email to cuusoo. Were you also going to post the patch arm on the cuusoo site? Who knows maybe people will support that quickly. That would be cool to see how fast that would rise. I will support it right away too.

People could post lots of comments on that complaining about the original set. I know I will.

Even if you get them done by some custom person it couldn't hurt to have it on cuusoo. I would swap the customs out if lego ever does it.

This whole thing on top of Ramis passing just really bummed me, I mean whats the point of asking lego now if in a week the other guys will have the arms printed and for sale? Kinda redundant.

I don't know, Cyril over there is playing referee and we are trying to see if we can work something out, but its crappy either way from my POV because the choice to get something official or done the right way got taken away.

OK really bad news on top off the crappy news we got two days ago. So the guys at Not Another Custom Minifig (NACM) decided to go ROGUE and steal the idea and do it themselves. Actually what they said was either we payed them right away to do it for us, 1000 euros or they would do it themselves and sell them. I'll be posting the entire crazy conversations so you see what nice folks they are, and so you are confortable buying from these really nice people (They do make really good work but the ethics are in the Mercenary category).

So there you have it, the arms idea is so good it got stolen. (I'm still digesting the insult so talk later)

Isn't that what we wanted? To be able to buy printed Ghostbusters arms?

Not you as I undestand it.

Either way it wasn't just the printing that can be done anywhere, it was also the shipping and distribuition that was being set up so this could be used as a test for other projects and so we all got the very best deal (thats not what you will get now).

Thats why I'm angry at them because they wasted a great partnership and lots of comissions for nothing really, the arms still get done.

I detest waste. And as I've said lots of times they are good at what they do. It's that attitude and this way off dealing that has no rhyme or reason.

Given that any commercial production of items printed with a Ghostbusters logo would be illegal (including your original proposal) I'm not sure you should be so quick with the judgement on "ethics".

Ok As you can read above I'm waiting on developments, I consider as far as I'm concerned that the Campaign is over for now.

Let's all take a step back to wait and see what happens, if you are happy with how it gets done fine, if not we can always go at it again.

For now this goes in the freezer.

To bad this stops you from trying to get TLG or Cuusoo from doing that. That's why I joined your group. I could care less about customs. :cry_sad: Even if there is not chance they would do it, they might think next time not to skip on something else like this. Your photo of the patch looks awesome too bad it won't be seen on cuusoo.

I could care less about customs.

The phrase is 'couldn't care less'! You're saying the opposite of what you mean!

And I'm pretty happy over all. I get to buy some well printed arms for a relatively low price.

Those look really good. Will be ordering four left arms (or four pairs if they don't sell them separate) along with BrickForge proton packs, Ecto goggles, and an EMT scanner. Lego, why couldn't you just complete the set? EDIT: PKE meter not EMT scanner! Stupid me!

Sorry for the bump but I got an answer. $4 per pair. $10 with shipping.

That's $40 for four arms. (Really eight but I think we all agree we'll only use the four left arms)

Pass. Unless I can get some sorry sucker on Ebay to buy the 4 right arms for $30. I am not spending almost the whole amount of the set on 4 ARMS. now I really wish Lego had done them.

Guys (tolkien and Sandmirror) this topic is no longer in use.

And to Tolkien: - Your math is wrong, at todays rates with 75.00 USD (48euros + shipping) you can buy like 16 pairs of arms enough for 4 official GB sets. Thats what I did once these got produced by them.

If anyone wants to post a review of the arms feel free, otherwise let this die down.

The arms I got to me are worth it, because it finishes the minifigure off.

It does what it says on the tin so to speak.

For the casual buyer of this set, the lack of arm printing probably won't matter, but it does to the fans. So its nice that this is out there. I understand that the first run is all but gone and they are making a second one.

That says everything.

We (Legomazing) have a couple new project, that came from this ones ashes.
