It certainly looks like they've removed them, I've just refreshed the page and they are gone.

However, I have them saved... :-P *y*

It could mean that I have more time, or it could mean that it's still coming out at the same time, they just dont want the pictures out there early.

Please post those pics overhere!

grrr. Still can't tell if that is an owl or not over the gate!

What else would it be? It certainly looks like an owl?

Steve, who wonders why this is such an issue?

It's such an issue because there were several posts dedicated to it earlier in this thread. Someone insisted it was a frog, other thought an owl, others thought a black colored scabbers...

the converstation reminds me of something from Seinfield... just pointless fun, i like that kind of joking :-D

i actually think the debate started when i asked what the thing on top of the smaller building (main box art configuration) was. i was actually asking a broader question regarding the entire black configuration (dino tails, whips, and animal included).

we must not have that type of archetecture in the states, cause i have no idea what that thing is. is it just an ornamental gate entry ??? again, i've never seen anything like that before. to me it just looks like a cluttered mess *wacko*

Ah, I got you now. I tend not to read excessively long threads (3 pages or more). It still looks like an owl to me, pretty sure its not a frog but maybe scabbers. I'd guess owl though. X-D

You are in the majority. For guessing owl and for not reading threads longer than 3 pages! :-/

My guess is that it's a frog sitting on top of an owl. <--that's kind of a greatest hits summary of the posts regarding the debate.

I do read threads longer than 3 pages. ;-)

So I insist the "thing" to be an owl, because I said so 2 weeks ago :-P , although I really think it's scabbers - whatever that may be (my dictionary shows no translation for that). 8-|

Keep the discussion running, mates!

I was planning to reply to your complaints a couple of posts ago. but forgot.

Anywho, it is indeed very typical example of a Belgian/dutch (othe e.u) hous from arond a 100 years ago. It is supposed to be an ornament made of iron, above a pass-tru . You also complained about the tiles above the windows, thas is very super typical avor here and was done at least until the seventies.

I think I have the solution, after looking attentively at those pics: it's a black owl with two black small antennas/control sticks...

Can't wait to see more pics (and why not having it?... :-D )

ah, ok... well maybe this is why im having such a hard time appriciating this... its architecture just too foreign to me :-D

thanks for the response ;-)

I say it's most definitely an owl. I highly doubt I'll be buying this in the any time in the future. It's fairly big and expensive plus those crow-stepped gables along with others look really ugly.

Today was a meeting of the bouwsteen in Zwolle and I was there. On a Table stand the cafe Corner and the new market set.

The black animal is an owl. The set itself look very good and has a nice design and architecture. On top of the box is the inventory printed like the creator sets. on the backside are not so many different pictures.

I hope Eric Brok may design all further City and creator houses :-D *y*

Excellent! Thanks very much for the pics!

The more I look at the pictures the more I want this set.

Admittedly, it's not impressive as Cafe Corner, but then again it shouldn't be for only 1250-odd pieces. I was definently surprised to see that it's slightly taller than Cafe Corner (If you don't count the little tower ontop). I like the stepped gable ontop, I think it's a really nice design, and in general I love the blue/grey/tan colour scheme. It fits in really well with Cafe Corner and by the looks of things will look great on either side of it. Also, it looks like TLC listened and put it on a grey baseplate rather than a green one.

There are a couple of things I don't like. The balconies, there are better pieces that could be used to make these. Also, for some reason the sidewalk/pavement pattern seems to become inconsistent half way along. Although this should be easy to fix.

In general though I think this should be an excellent set provided it is no more than

While retaining the curved effect of the railing? I'm very curious what your choice of parts for this would be, then.

This 10190 could be the last set ever designed by Erik Brok. Today, I went to a small Lego convention and people told that he has a terminal form of cancer. I do not know him personally, but I heard that he is about 35 years old. Cancer at such a young age... tragic.
