Wout Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 AND I just found the pictures!http://www.debouwsteen.com/news.php Thank you, I forget :-$ :-) Very sad that Eric Brok has cancer, I dont know what I must say. :'-( Quote
Hinckley Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 While retaining the curved effect of the railing? I'm very curious what your choice of parts for this would be, then. Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 (edited) Yup, this is the part I thought of. It only adds a couple of more studs to the width too (8 instead of 6). This 10190 could be the last set ever designed by Erik Brok. Today, I went to a small Lego convention and people told that he has a terminal form of cancer. I do not know him personally, but I heard that he is about 35 years old. Cancer at such a young age... tragic. X-O That's not good, that really is tragic. I hope he lives long enough to bring out many more LEGO sets. Edited June 2, 2007 by Mr Hobbles Quote
legomilk Posted June 2, 2007 Author Posted June 2, 2007 Here the pics from dutch event de bouwsteen http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=257007 Quote
alex54 Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Thanks for those new pics! The fact that this set is a factory is very good, just thinking of the pieces we will be able to buy *sweet* , like those white streetlights! So sad that TLC uses trans minifig head and not trans-yellow, because all mine are trans-yellow *wacko* Quote
Hinckley Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 (edited) That is definitely an owl! HA! X-D :-P Edited June 2, 2007 by hinckley39 Quote
Khorne Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 This is looking bloody nice. I'm gonna be so broke :'-( . I still have to buy the Caf Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Many thanks for those pics too! Those other pics are just confirming my suspicions that this is gonna be an awesome set. :-) Looking at the back of the box I've just realised that since it's a Factory set the instructions are gonna be downloadable! This should be good for those having doubts about whether or not to buy this set. Quote
Dunechaser Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 No, no, not an owl. I think it's a horse. :-P Quote
oo7 Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/legomast...ent/10190-2.jpg What is that green lettuce type thing? I looks to me like Exo hair. Today, I went to a small Lego convention and people told that he has a terminal form of cancer. I do not know him personally, but I heard that he is about 35 years old. Cancer at such a young age... tragic.Man, that's terrible! I'm sending my best wishes to him and his family. :-)No, no, not an owl. I think it's a horse. :-P Really......are you're sure it's not one one of those Dino Attack beauties? ;-) Quote
Hinckley Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 I hope they add all of the pieces to Pick-a-Brick like they did with the train set. Quote
UniqueBuilder Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/legomast...ent/10190-2.jpgWhat is that green lettuce type thing? I looks to me like Exo hair. It is. Someone posted it earlier in this thread, but somehow I just can't find it. *wacko* Quote
wunztwice Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 Beauty of a set. I'm really stoked about this one, even more than Cafe Corner! Thanks for the high-res pics Quote
moom Posted June 3, 2007 Posted June 3, 2007 For those who are still unfamiliar with the other MOC's and projects concieved or supervised by the designer of this set, here is a link to Eric Brok's LEGO site: http://ericbrok.com/legomind/ Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 (edited) It looks like the online Pick-a-Brick has been updated with the parts from 10190. At first glance there are many more blue pieces (Both dark and light), croissants, the green Exo-Force head (The cabbage), flower stalks and flowers, etc. EDIT: My copy of LLD also updated itself with the new pallette of bricks. There's also a filter to show only bricks from the Market Street box. Edited June 4, 2007 by Mr Hobbles Quote
lego trains rule Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 (edited) Yah in the online PAB you can get female minifigs! :'-) as well as trash cans and crates,my wallet hurts all ready... Edited June 4, 2007 by lego trains rule Quote
Berry Syedow Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 I'm looking forward to this set very much, especially for the light blue. I just hope there aren't as many color discrepancies in this set, which has kept me from wanting to get the Cafe Corner. It'd also be neat if "hard to find" colors were included in each one of these type of buildings. (Sand red, purple, orange?) I'm glad TLC is supporting modularity. 'Tis another step in the right direction. Quote
Wout Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 (edited) There are more pictures on Brickshelf. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=257509 Edited June 5, 2007 by Wout Quote
rexcal Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 (edited) It's such an issue because there were several posts dedicated to it earlier in this thread. Someone insisted it was a frog, other thought an owl, others thought a black colored scabbers... I'm surprised noone started a poll on this yet! Our community is well known for these... ;-) EDIT: See what I'm talking about? Crazy stuff someone came up with at the same time that I was writing this posting. Edited June 5, 2007 by rexcal Quote
simonwillems Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 That is definitely an owl! HA! X-D :-P Okay, okay you won, I surrender.... It indeed is an owl :-/ X-D Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 (edited) I was just on the phone with LEGO signing up for the Club Magazine and I asked when Market Street was going to be released. The guy on the other end of the phone looked it up on the system and said that there wasn't a specific date set, but there was a note saying it's due in the next 2-3 weeks, before the end of the month. Woohoo! :-) Edited June 6, 2007 by Mr Hobbles Quote
Shakar Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 Just saw this on Shop at Home, it looks awesome. 1248 pieces for 90 Euro? Wow! This year I can't afford it due to all the stuff I have to buy, but next year....maybe.... Shakar Quote
Mr Hobbles Posted June 12, 2007 Posted June 12, 2007 I plan on ordering this next week, I can't wait! It definitely seems like a good deal at Quote
