I used to keep boxes, first all then just USC and Modular stuff. Now I toss almost everything out. I still have some boxes left , but thats for storing other things in (like my Market Street box that i use to store my 9v rail in. I do also cling on to the old Sandcrawler box since that was my first UCS, but i use that as a nice sorting tray, oh and the UCS MF box i still have to store the parts for the USC MF..(the amount of Billund Air is not that big in that box..)

I keep all the boxes from post-dark ages era folded flat under the bed. I have also kept all but four boxes of my childhood sets (late 80s/early 90s) and they are still in very good condition, despite being stored in a cellar for some 15 years. Now they reside in a big TV set box on the top of the wardrobe.

I've just been back into Lego since the start of this year, and the boxes have begun to pile up. I want to keep them all, and I also keep all the bags. I open them with scissors and only cut about half way, so its mostly all intact. If I ever wanted to sell them, I figured that was best to have all the bits that came in the set. I even keep the sticker sheets after they have been peeled off and used. They do have a part number on each, might be useful to have that on hand. I am also creating a file drawer with all the instructions, each set in its own folder...

Yeah. Recently I've kind of run out of room to put my boxes, I've ended up having to fold some and putting some inside bigger ones. Most are in my closest, but I'm starting to have to put some underneath my desk.

I keep the boxes. However, if space ever becomes an issue, I may fold them down flat for storage purposes. I already have five GEs, three built and two unopened. I plan on buying a few more as my GE keeps expanding. So, I may get rid of some of those boxes.

I lost almost all of my sets and boxes, when I was a kid. I loved them, but couldn't look after them. Only one set remained, but it's still full and and I assemble it almost every Christmas. It's a 97' train set. I just love the train under the Christmas tree. :)

I don't keep boxes because of the storage space requirements and my new motto "Neatness counts". The only LEGO boxes I have are... Unbuilt sets.

I understand that to some folks the boxes are part of the complete package of the hobby, but for me, all I want are the "little plastic bricks" because I can't build anythong out of the boxes excepy a multi colored (cardboard) tower.

personally keeping all boxes (and openng the thumbtab ones a bit differently (on the top side with the front picture instead of the small side) cause you can use them then perfectly for storing parts inside em when building a set or using it to store other parts in the collection) and the larger ones are pretty useful to tack other stuff away in a not so obvious way

Some of the boxes (exclusive sets) I keep but the most I throw out.

They take up alot of space and the don´t really have no value, unless you some day would sell the sets.

Sure,,i keep all my boxes and i also un-box it in a way so it will not look awful or bad.

Check this how i do open for the boxes which requires a punch from both places..

I just slip a blade into that thin area and carefully going from side to side...:)

As for the sealed boxes, i slice the seal and then reseal with similar sellotape! ;)

i Also keep the plastic bags,....everything comes in the box and even the sticker sheet after it is used

I am debating I might toss the little City set boxes, though most of mine are the large type boxes, luckily they only have the 4 taped spots, so it would be easy to flatten them. I still see value in keeping all the boxes and the bags too...

I only came out of my dark ages about six months ago, but I'm not keeping the boxes. I'm more interested in MOCs so the box is not important to me.
