My baby girl just turned 2 and she has been fascinated by construction vehicles and such. So I unearthed my old Lego bricks, sorted them and build this for her birthday:

Play features:

  • Boom can be raised and the crane rotated from a single control at the back
  • Hand of God steering
  • Pendular axle suspension (single axle front and dual axles back)
  • Wide outriggers in the middle and smaller stabilizers in the back
  • Working alarm lights on the roof and at the back (with LifeLites eLite Jr. light kit)
  • 5 opening doors
  • Cabin seats 2 minifigs comfortably and has extra room for tools
  • Tool compartment holds planks for outriggers, a traffic cone and some tools (as well as eLite main module)

More pics and a few videos on Flickr:

P.S. My first post here, be lenient :)

That's an amazing MOC, I really love it. I myself have built a couple of 8-wide trucks and this one blows them right out of the water. And the fact that it has so many functions can put even some of the Technic models and MOCs to shame. Great job, 'karmi'!

Excellent moc, I'm sure your daughter will have a lot of fun playing with it(if she can get it away from you!)

To be honest, she is still a bit young to properly use all the functions  But the truck is quite sturdy and she sure likes the blinking lights!

That is a really fantastic moc!

So many functions in such a small package. Great look too.

But you know your daughter is still too young to be left with such pieces! Please supervise her very carefully.

BTW, welcome to Eurobricks.

Thanks!

Thanks for the warning, too: I can assure you that she is in close watch when she is anywhere near any small parts. So far she has shown absolutely no interest in eating Legos, but of course it only takes one. The same cannot be said about myself: my poor old bricks are absolutely gnawed to the bone
