Captain Braunsfeld Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 [pid][/pid] 245B Dear all, I am very happy to present to you another example of monkey-driven design: The Palace "Jaune Banane": It is a modular build - heavily inspired by what I have seen in and around Vienna. And I managed to include some monkey statues (which I am really proud of). I managed to include some nice interior work: And it is modular: It is actually not so easy to capture this well: This time the MOC comes without a story. I hope you enjoy it! (I am working on the palace gardens, etc., so there will be additions coming up soon). Quote
Kolonialbeamter Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 Haha, funny built. I like your 'monkey-driven design' a lot. Great play set for kids. And on top of that, with only some modifications this would make for a pretty 'real' governor's mansion. Looking forward for the gardens, keep up the good work! Regards Quote
Sebeus I Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Very nice, are those monkeys sitting on cats? A great building, it could as well serve as the governors' mansion. Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted March 3, 2014 Author Posted March 3, 2014 Hi Sebeus, the monkeys are, of course, sitting on horses: Every governor's mansion would have decent horse statues, right? The garden section currently looks something like this: My children have decided that there has to be a maze as well. Quote
Loves Houses Posted March 3, 2014 Posted March 3, 2014 Really nice details like the armchair and the white statues. But of course most of all I love the monkeys. More monkeys please, and then let's all go Bananas. Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted March 11, 2014 Author Posted March 11, 2014 And now it is more or less "complete". With a garden: and a maze and some strange inhabitants Quote
Kolonialbeamter Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 This palace puts a smile on my face everytime I look at it. Would be a fun place for every governor to live... and go banana. Congratulations on this beautiful and quite unique MOC! Regards Quote
Sebeus I Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 (edited) It looks great complete with its fence and garden, I may try a labyrinth like that some time. Edited March 13, 2014 by Sebeus I Quote
