Lundgren Posted April 7, 2014 Posted April 7, 2014 Haha yes I know that's the way you meant it to be ;) a minor bug in the BI's :D Yes it's an iPad and it works like charme! Very simple to zoom and move around the picture! I defenetively would recommend an iPad for it. I think it works better than my computer screen even though it's smaller! Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted April 7, 2014 Author Posted April 7, 2014 An iPad or any other tablet can be moved around easily and that is what it makes so easy to use. This in general and also when it comes to working with online BI. Nice to see and read that you have so much fun building and that the online instructions are a succes! This is a very nice overview picture you have shared with us, it really shows how it works. Is your working desk always this organized... I have my hands full to keep it that way...haha... BTW, did you get the change to promote my model at the Swedish forum you told me about? Quote
Lundgren Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 (edited) Darn good looking truck I must say! (yep I'm missing 14 pieces 1x1 bricks in dark red and 2 1x1 plates in dbg ) Edited April 8, 2014 by Lundgren Quote
ritztoys Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Lundgren...............that looks awesome! Well done, I am jealous. Looking forward to building my version of this beautifully designed American Semi-Truck. Thank-you Ingmar for allowing us all to enjoy these masterpieces in our homes. ( Please never, ever stop designing ) Quote
Lundgren Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 (edited) Thanks ritztoys! Yes I'm really happy right now this is really awesome! And I totally agree please don't ever stop making it possible for us to enjoy your marvelous creations Ingmar!!! Edited April 8, 2014 by Lundgren Quote
N-4K0 Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 Awesome truck! A question aside - which part is the curved one on top of the exhaust pipes? I can't find it on BrickLink, I would like to get a few of those, preferably non-chrome. Quote
Lundgren Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 It's this one http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=71075 Quote
ritztoys Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 That hood ornament looks good, too bad Lego doesn't have one of a 'Flying Lady w/Wings', as old trucks in the USA have on some rigs. I've got one from who knows when or where..............saving it for that special vehicle. Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted April 9, 2014 Author Posted April 9, 2014 @ Lundgren and ritztoys: Thanks guys As far as I am concerned I'll never stop!!! Building MOCs is what I have to do, sharing them with the world is rewarding, but people wanting to build my creations is extremely rewarding @ ritztoys: We can't wait and all you do is telling us about your version, you really are teasing us you know!!! I am so curious what it is that you'll do "to" this creation... @ Error404: This part only is available in chrome, no other colors. @ Lundgren: Go outside, take both trucks and make us some nice pictures of the tow truck "towing" the Red one. That would be so awesome, I am sure about that!!! Quote
Lundgren Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 (edited) Will do so when the weather here will be better in Sweden, right now the rain is poring down! More time to build and spend on BL! :) Edited April 9, 2014 by Lundgren Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted April 9, 2014 Author Posted April 9, 2014 Yeah, I see, you don't want to take your models out in the rain. Well good luck spending your rainy day and money on BL Quote
Lundgren Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 (edited) Well then, here we go again! This black version will have a surprise ;) Edited April 10, 2014 by Lundgren Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted April 10, 2014 Author Posted April 10, 2014 Well...now you have made us curious... I am in for a surprise... Quote
ritztoys Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 Hey Guys, A break in the construction process on my home, time for some building. I'm building both the Red Version and my "secret paint version" at the same time, switching back and forth on the different colors kind of makes you nuts I will put up a photo when both frames are completed in a way that is unique to Big Rigs being delivered here in the USA. Stay Tuned! Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted April 12, 2014 Author Posted April 12, 2014 You give yourself some time off so to speak. I will stay tuned for sure, I am so curious. Great that you build them both at the same time. It might make you nuts, but as soon as you are finished there is no need to go through the same process again... Quote
ritztoys Posted April 12, 2014 Posted April 12, 2014 That last paragraph you wrote about................does this mean that a new style of truck will come from you in the future? ( Can we say " mud ", like in Dump Truck  ) Quote
spongebrickpl Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Just one truck isnt enough for You - need more and more That seems to be a LEGO Collectible Ingmar Trucks Series OK so Ingmar this is Your son Or maybe it wasnt good word- it is a younger brother of Your trucks. You inspired me to start building LEGO again and I thank You so much that You designed such great trucks Quote
Lundgren Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Well if you'll build 1 of Ingmars creations you to will realize that 1 isn't enough! ;) I probably won't quit until I have them all (in all various colors!) :D Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted April 14, 2014 Author Posted April 14, 2014 @ ritztoys: All kind of new style trucks will some from me in the future...if I only had more time... @ spongebrickpl: Well that would be nice: a LEGO® Collectible Ingmar Trucks Series. The company isn't very interested I think, but I don't mind. I set up my own collectible serie... Yes it is a younger brother and to be honest, I really love it. The colors and the way you build it, very nice!!! Great that I inspired you to build again, that is nice to hear!!! @ Lundgren: Nice of you! All various colors and various types, because I will build many many more and of all BIs will be released...for sure!!! Quote
ritztoys Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 (edited) @ 2LegoOrNot2Lego..You know when I retired.........., I thought I would have plenty of spare time, well quite the contrary, I'm more busy now that I'm not working 9 to 5. I always leave time to build your creations. Also today I received some extremely rare parts from Germany, if you can find them anywhere on this planet. The "secret paint version" is assembling very well, almost all parts are here now. @ spongebrickpl You have built a very nice truck, you should open your own posting on this, and let more people see your talents. Lundgren Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Today I got my silver metallic rims for the red truck, but for the black one I'm building I want chromed!? How do I get that??? Ingmar you have it on your blue and orange Peterbilt (which I long for bi's) ;) how did you get those? Quote

2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted April 16, 2014 Author Posted April 16, 2014 @ ritztoys: I know this because of my dad. He is retired too for a couple of years now. He always has been a busy man but not that busy... Great to see that you have started building too. Again we are curious to find out the "secret paint version”!!! @ Lundgren: I know of both the stores peter_m came up with. What I do know is that if you want the best quality available you might also want to visit this store: https://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=bricks4all It is a Dutch store and I know the guy that provides this store with the chromed parts. These are actually chrome plated (not spray painted), it is more expensive, but you’ll notice the difference for sure!!! You might want to try parts from all three shops to find out yourself... Quote
ritztoys Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Fellow Builders, I am continually amazed as I build this truck. The interior is so complete, Ingmar even provided the correct 'headliner' color in the plate choices under the roof. The doors are another fantastic design, that I'm sure took quite a bit of messing with to get everything correct looking, just like a real interior should be. Those seats............heck yes, they look comfy. To any one considering building this truck, or any other truck Ingmar designs...............Just Do It,.....purchase BI, you will not be disappointed in any area of his designs. Quote
