Lundgren Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Still no pics ritztoys!? ;) I am sooo curious of your secret color project! Today over 6000 parts arrived so now I can start the black build! :) Quote
ritztoys Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Lundgren once again, you are a lucky man. Now the last part shipment, you said the parts were screaming to be built. With this many parts the noise must be deafeningly loud I'm waiting on some engine parts for one of my frames. When those items arrive, I'll be posting some 'early/before' pictures of both of my new trucks under construction. I'm building in-between working on my house and yes it is getting closer to being done, hooray.......... Quote
Lundgren Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Haha yes now I'm a very poor but happy guy! ;) :) I now have parts for the black T1 and the original T2 color scheme. But a lot of these parts is for my own moc that I think I'll start with. I'm sure anxious to see your builds! Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted April 24, 2014 Author Posted April 24, 2014 The interior is so complete, Ingmar even provided the correct 'headliner' color in the plate choices under the roof. The doors are another fantastic design, that I'm sure took quite a bit of messing with to get everything correct looking, just like a real interior should be. It is all about reflecting light, if I would for example have made the headliner black, more light would have been absorbed. Maybe this sound theoretical, but I'm sure it not! Yes, it took me a while to get the doors done both the interior and exterior are important and to add a lot of details I needed brackets. Those brackets messed up the exterior a little, but not that much. Thanks for the kind words!!! Today over 6000 parts arrived so now I can start the black build! :) Once you wrote that you build on rainy days. Is it always raining where you live??? That is an amazing bulk of parts you have bought yourself. So many parts to only build axles and the suspension. Do you have plans on starting your own transport company? I'm waiting on some engine parts for one of my frames. When those items arrive, I'll be posting some 'early/before' pictures of both of my new trucks under construction. I'm building in-between working on my house and yes it is getting closer to being done, hooray.......... Curious we are, yes we really are!!! But a lot of these parts is for my own moc that I think I'll start with. Well that makes us wonder! Quote
ritztoys Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 OK Guys, My engine parts arrived from Spain..............guess what I saw at the Local truck-stop............. This is how Big Rigs are delivered in the USA.................hmm, that last rig, could this be the " secret paint version " heading off to the body shop? These guys think this is the new truck......... Quote
ritztoys Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 OK, one more.................well at least we all know two of the colors on this truck............ Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 This is so nice, I really love the idea of these models designed and developed in the Netherlands are standing tall on a US truck stop!!! Yeah, we already know two colors! What would the rest of this model going to look like? My engine parts arrived from Spain..............guess what I saw at the Local truck-stop............. This is how Big Rigs are delivered in the USA.................hmm, that last rig, could this be the " secret paint version " heading off to the body shop? These guys think this is the new truck......... You really make us curious as these guys are! It really seems they are arguing about if it is or not the "secret version". Well anyways, I really love those chromed parts. BTW, what engine parts did you need to order in Spain? Didn't they have those in the US? Quote
ritztoys Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 @ 2LegoOrNot2Lego...................BTW, what engine parts did you need to order in Spain? Didn't they have those in the US? I needed one of the modified plates that holds the tubing/hoses in place, also needed more 2 x 4 tiles in my ' paint version '. Both models are building just fine, I don't think I've forgotten any pieces that are part of the new paint job. ( I had twice finding a brick or plate in the wrong color for its' position on the model. ) Not always can you purchase from BL vendors what you need because of minimum order money totals , so I search the world for whats needed at a vendor that has no order minimums . 2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 (edited) Okay, I see. While building this model, and others as well by the way, I try to use as many easy to get parts as possible. Not that this is always possible, but the engine is quite okay. That is why I asked. The "no order minimum" stores have my preference as well, specially when you need only two little items. Since I run a BL store myself too, I know all about why people have these order minimums. To many small orders really make you run out of time... Edited May 1, 2014 by 2LegoOrNot2Lego... Quote

Since I run a BL store myself too, I know all about why people have these order minimums. To many small orders really make you run out of time... I do find that you have designed easy to find parts for all areas of each of your trucks  , this makes it easy to find out you already have the needed parts to build these creations. For me ( secret paint version ) , the parts can become very rare because of the color needed in a certain position on the model, I don't mind..............finding the parts where ever on this planet, is part of the fun in building these fantastic trucks. I do understand the time it takes for "small orders", especially when it's a business. but sometimes I just don't have any need for extra parts. Of course if these "extra parts" are needed to build one of your trucks, I'll always buy more just so I can build your next MOC. Any hints on what that might be? ( could the next truck be from your blogspot photos? ) Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted May 3, 2014 Author Posted May 3, 2014 (edited) In the meantime here are two of the four colors as I'm still working on the other two. For both of these color schemes instructions as well as part lists are available. If you like to learn more about this creation in what ever color you like to build it, go to the top of this thread. You can also visit MOCpages for a full description or Flickr to see more pictures. See below for pictures! Edited May 16, 2014 by 2LegoOrNot2Lego... Quote
DrJB Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 I read through the thread but could not find the answer to this question. I must say though that those are beautiful trucks, and someday I'd build one. The question is this: For some of the colors (blue/red/dark red), has the author checked that all the parts do in fact exist? I know all the rounded parts for trim may not be available in dark red and blue ... Quote

Thanks for your question, your interest and the kind words I am the author and yes, I did check the availability of the parts. I assume you're referring to this part: If this is the part you worry about, it is for sure available in all colors... Or do you know something that I don't, could you be more specific? Thanks! Any hints on what that might be? ( could the next truck be from your blogspot photos? ) Thanks! You make us more and more curious, what will it look like, can't wait.......... Well about the next build, it'll be a trailer to go with this US Truck T1 MkII. This time is also going to be flat bed, but a split axle. The great thing about flat beds is that you can decide yourself what load it will haul. The most rear axle of this split axle trailer will be liftable. The colors will suite the original color of this truck and it is up to you to make it fit yours Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted May 16, 2014 Author Posted May 16, 2014 Here are the different colors of this same model that I talked about a couple of weeks ago. Just to give you an impression of how these look like here are some images. The great thing is that I had to get into render software, and I really enjoyed it, yes I did!!! For all four of these color schemes both instructions and part lists are available. If you like to learn more about this creation in what ever color you like to build it, go to the top of this thread. You can also visit MOCpages for a full description or Flickr to see more pictures. Thanks again for your interest in my MOCs, Ingmar Spijkhoven AKA 2LegoOrNot2Lego Quote
spongebrickpl Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 Wow! You are hard working man. So many colours! But I am very interested in that split axle trailer. You keep hiding it Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted May 17, 2014 Author Posted May 17, 2014 Wow! You are hard working man. So many colours! But I am very interested in that split axle trailer. You keep hiding it Yes I do work very hard Now anyone who is interested in building this model can build it in a color that comes close to her or his interest and color taste. About the split axle trailer, no I am not hiding it at all... I am working my bud of to get it finished, with this I mean the instructions and all... So be patient for a couple of more weeks. My intention is to have it finished the first of June! Quote
Freekysch Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Great job for designing this truck, it looks awesome ! Keep up the fabulous work Quote

I am little dissapointed because more parts than expected is needed to finish it. Now I can only wait for my next salary Happy building Quote
