Nom Carver Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 "The rebel forces have penetrated deep into the imperial garrison and managed to liberate some of the prisoners at the detention block, I dont know what do they know or why are they trying release them but the standing orders are to stop them at any coast, if they are half as smart as they should be, they should try to get some ammo and supplies to make their way back to the surface, we prepared a surprise for them" 001 por Nom Carver, en Flickr 003 por Nom Carver, en Flickr 007 por Nom Carver, en Flickr 009 por Nom Carver, en Flickr 012 por Nom Carver, en Flickr 013 por Nom Carver, en Flickr 015 por Nom Carver, en Flickr 021 por Nom Carver, en Flickr 019 por Nom Carver, en Flickr Quote
WarSquirrel Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Great job , hopefully you will make us come first in this sector! Quote
LucasLaughing Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 I like it! The minifig posing is great, and I'm glad to see some rebels about to be blasted! One minor suggestion - you might think about building a roof / cover over the top - that would add more to the feeling of this being deep inside the base. Quote
BEAVeR Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 It's shoot-a-Rebel time! The piece of the base you built is reallywell done and believable. The heavy slopes give both the Imperial and underground look, and those SNOTted tiles add some extra, typical Imperial detail. The armory is well done with all those guns closely mounted. Details like the control panel for the door add to the authenticity. All in all, a very nice scene! I'm not very sure about the sudden contrast between the LBG and DBG, like with the door. I'd make the door more homogenous (the arrows are not really working for me. You could add some simple stripes though), and border it off with more sloped sides. The armory could be filled with some more crates, to cover some bald areas, as long as everything keeps looking well organized. Maybe adding some strips of lights in e hallway would evoke the underground feeling even more. It's very nice to se you using techniques you picked up during your ISD-series. Things like the borders on top make your scenes look more and more professional. The Rebellion won't be a match for this!!! Quote
Nom Carver Posted March 9, 2014 Author Posted March 9, 2014 Thanks for your sugestions. Great job , hopefully you will make us come first in this sector! Unfortunately since I have revealed my position, is very likely for the enemy to build something beter to counter it, thats the risk of posting to early, but since I am hosting this contest I dont expect to be one of the winners. Those rebels will have quite a surprise, regarding to a roof and the extra details, it may work but this little build just got disassembled, I notice that adding little printed bricks and special elements work for others so I thought that those yellow arrows could do for the doors, I have been trying to improve my building. Thanks again for your comments and criticism, I will implement them on my next builds. Quote
Artizan Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Nice moc overall, but I think the Bespin guard looks very out of place. Quote
Nom Carver Posted April 5, 2014 Author Posted April 5, 2014 Nice moc overall, but I think the Bespin guard looks very out of place. That fig was the most random space/futuristic character I had, everything else is either a rebel trooper, an imperial soldier, or a Han Solo fig. Quote
Lord Tyrus Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 Love it, the corridor walls especially! The Rebels don't stand a chance against the mighty Empire! Quote
Nom Carver Posted April 6, 2014 Author Posted April 6, 2014 Love it, the corridor walls especially! The Rebels don't stand a chance against the mighty Empire! Thanks, we will need the help of all available troops to succeed, this challenge feels more exciting to me. Quote
Rogue Angel Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 Nice build! You've done a great job of making it look Imperial. I also like the weapons the Stormies are holding as well as the blaster racks. Good work! Quote
Dapper-D2 Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 It's a sweet little build Nom! I like how you've included the yellow arrows in the door and the control panel next to it. The gun rakes are also really nice, but it's too bad those heavily armed Stormtroopers don't know how to use the weapons they're carrying effectively! They will all die soon enough! ;) Quote
Nom Carver Posted April 20, 2014 Author Posted April 20, 2014 Thanks, regarding to the stormtroopers, they died but they fought bravely, the body count raised up to 13 enemies that day before they died. Quote
