mifody Posted March 11, 2014 Posted March 11, 2014 (edited) Hello! I represent to Your attention a new module from the series "Suburbs" - "Police station". Previous modules You can see it clicking on these links: - Modular MOC "Suburb" http://www.eurobrick...topic=83852&hl= - Modular MOC "Suburb" - Continuation... http://www.eurobrick...topic=90996&hl= And so, a new module 5-th. He is a police station. Originally I had planned to place the whole plot is with all the buildings on the same module, but during construction understood that it is simply not possible. Therefore, this module presents only a part of the plot. Let's move from words to action - a few common species module: The module consists of 3 main parts: - the main police building - checkpoint - small Parking in front of the police station Now let us consider the site in more detail. And so, the main building. Placed on the roof antenna and sign. On the roof you can easily climb up the ladder. The roof of the building, and checkpoint easily removed. Consider the internal arrangement of the buildings: The main police building - the cabinet of police chief - reception - the camera for prisoners - corridor Checkpoint To previous module conforms with this, had to rebuild it. Both modules together: Revitalize a bit of the way of: Well and as a bonus - four modules of the five together! Just want to apologize for the quality of the photo and background work is quite large and places for photo is not enough! That's all! Waiting for Your comments and requests! PS: Sorry for my bad English! Edited March 11, 2014 by mifody Quote

marvinblue Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Hi there mifody. I love the way you've made the modules to click together to create the overall scene. I also love the amount of detail that you've packed into all the small spaces in the Police Station. Keep up the great work!!! Quote
Kristel Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Looks great and fits in nicely with the existing modules! There does seem to be an abundance of booking sheets, though. Maybe you're expecting a crime wave to hit? Quote
ER0L Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 The layout looks nice! On the other hand my impression is that by combining the designs of several vehicle builders (which you should name and reference in my opinion, otherwise people might think that the vehicles are your designs) in one rather small layout might cause problems of scale. An example: The yellow truck in a Thomas Selander design (see http://www.flickr.co...N03/5377961341/) is 6w. Thomas Selander is using quite a small scale indeed. Search Function's 4 Seater Police Car (originally black and white, see http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/341085, blue and white in your livery) is what I call 6w+ due to the mudguards - that means wider than the truck. Freddie's Cadillac (see http://www.flickr.co...03/12158487983/) is even 8w - that means 2 studs wider than a truck which doesn't make sense even if it's a full-size car. There are even more examples of this problem in your layout. So my advice would be to find a suitable scale first and then try to build vehicles and buildings that might go well with each other - otherwise there'll always be the impression of inconsistency in a layout. mifody Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 (edited) The yellow truck in a Thomas Selander design (see http://www.flickr.co...N03/5377961341/) is 6w. Thomas Selander is using quite a small scale indeed. First, if Thomas Selander created a Mercedes, then Yes, I gathered on its design. My truck is somewhat similar to the Mercedes from Thomas Selander, but in our development plan and even external design models are different.Search Function's 4 Seater Police Car (originally black and white, see http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/341085, blue and white in your livery) is what I call 6w+ due to the mudguards - that means wider than the truck And here You have not guessed. A similar model I met on flickr and gathered similar external design. But thanks for the link - I can now download ldd file and build some more models! Now about the scale! Lego minifigures not proportional, respectively, and models out too, is not proportional. And the last! This theme is about modular work, transport is used as extras.
