Hello all. Just thought I would share some pics of a modified "Family House" set 31012.

I really liked the basic design of the house, but it was just a bit small and got lost in my city. So with some extra parts, I widened it, added another floor and added some interior details. While it's nothing amazing, I think it now stands out much better in the city.

What do you think?

First off, your city is pretty AWESOME! :sweet:

I've seen that set before in the store an I was kind of, meh. But the improvements you made make it look REALLY nice! Reminds me of some of the newer more expensive houses in San Francisco!

Hi there! I'm not sure if i like the extra floor here.. Thing that is bothering me is the white wall in the middle of the top floor that rests on the tan windows....maybe you could change that? Your layout looks great...i like full and busy layouts.....!!

The modifications look great, including the garden and path to the front door!

Just one suggestion - it looks like the bedroom on the first floor is now a bathroom. Maybe shift the door to the balcony so it is coming off the bedroom instead of the bathroom?

Thanks, I'm out of room though, so this is why I have to go up!

Yea, I'm not sure if it's an architectural accent or defect :). No quite sure how or if I will attempt to modify though.

Good idea on moving the door, will have to do that.

Good looking mod, but what a terrible neighborhood. Next to the Haunted house, with an elevated monorail running the other side of it, next to a bus lane and with construction nearby. :classic:

I do like the idea of beefing up the Creator kits to make them more Modular compliant and you've done a good job!

But there is a nice park across the street. Life in the big city! :classic:

Nice job in modifying the creator house.

I like that building under construction just down the road, looks a bustling hub of activity!

Well done!

Well, here is a recent video of the city (before I modified the house).

And yes, the light still works! :classic:
