Capt. Redblade Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 (edited) So for the past few months I've been working to get my own webseries up and running. It's something I've thought about doing for a while and I'm glad to say things have started to fall into place! The Adaptation Nation is a weekly series that looks at bad, strange, and goofy Hollywood adaptations of otherwise good properties. The first video I did was a review of Get Smart, which you can see below. You can watch the rest of my videos on the Youtube channel here, or leave a comment on the Facebook page here. Either way, have a look and see what you guys think! Edited March 19, 2014 by Capt. Redblade Quote
montgocloud Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 That sounds fantastic. If there's one thing I love, it's bizarre and/or awful adaptations. I think a good focus to have is on the obscure. Sure, it's always nice to hear others' opinions on movies that you have watched, but being introduced to a film is, in my opinion, even better. Best of luck on your series, I'll be watching. Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted March 21, 2014 Author Posted March 21, 2014 I think a good focus to have is on the obscure. Oh, believe me, I have found some obscure films in the course of my research. Ever hear of Sword of the Valiant, Supergirl, or the 1983 Hercules movie with Lou Ferrigno? Looking at my schedule, I'd like to think I've managed a healthy mix of high-profile and lesser-known stuff. Also, glad to have another fan on board! Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 New episode up! This week, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull from the perspective of the one person who actually liked it. PART 1: https://www.youtube....h?v=tEWe_2pDwu8 PART 2: https://www.youtube....h?v=2qCCRjTcoX0 Quote

Now that's a fantastic film! But as a fan of the old Hulk TV series with Lou Ferrigno, I'm very curious in this Hercules movie... Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted March 31, 2014 Author Posted March 31, 2014 Anyone who remembers this movie is a goddamned liar. This week: Sword of the Valiant! PART 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEFLtrq0Sc4 PART 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d35hqs2ejTI Quote

Capt. Redblade Posted May 1, 2014 Author Posted May 1, 2014 After a slight end-of-term delay, things are back in full swing! This week: Stormbreaker. PART 1 PART 2 Quote
SandMirror38 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Loved the Stormbreaker Review! Reminded me a lot of another YouTuber called TheUnusualSuspect. But thats ok cause I love his sense of humor and I love what you've done here!! Great Job and I have a movie I'd like you to review The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn Keep up the good work Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted May 6, 2014 Author Posted May 6, 2014 In honour of Batman's 75th anniversary, May is Bat-month on the Adaptation Nation. This week: Batman (1989). PART 1 PART 2 Great Job and I have a movie I'd like you to review The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn Keep up the good work It's been a while since I've seen the film, but I'll think about it. Capt. Redblade Posted May 12, 2014 Author Posted May 12, 2014 Bat-month continues with Batman Returns! PART 1 PART 2 Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted May 16, 2014 Author Posted May 16, 2014 Have no fear. I've recently had a respite from Youtube's legal red tape, so I've been taking down some of the older videos and re-uploading the full, uncut versions in their place. In fact I was just on my way here to post a list: Wild Wild West: Daredevil: Scooby-Doo: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull: Sword of the Valiant: Batman: Fair warning, I am most likely going to replace the rest of the videos tomorrow, so if any more videos disappear, rest assured that it's entirely on my terms. Capt. Redblade Posted May 19, 2014 Author Posted May 19, 2014 This week, the Batman franchise changes hands as Bat-month continues with Batman Forever. Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 Bat-month concludes with a systematic and (very) therapeutic takedown of Joel Schumacher's Batman & Robin. Quote
SandMirror38 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Loved your review! Keep up the work! Another suggestion I have for you is: The Hobbit The Lord of the Rings. ... Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 I had some time to kill after editing my last review and this happened. Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 Flintstones, meet the Flintstones, they've a crappy live-action movie! In case you can't tell, this week's review is The Flintstones. Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted June 16, 2014 Author Posted June 16, 2014 Come see my terrible Jeff Goldblum impression in this week's episode! Quote
Capt. Redblade Posted June 23, 2014 Author Posted June 23, 2014 This week, the (not so) Fantastic Four! Quote
AyliffeMakit Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Great work! There are two films just crying out for this treatment: Peter Pan (not the Disney classic, the weird 2003 version where Neverland is somehow IN SPACE) and the strange live-action Super Mario Bros Movie from 1993. Quote
just2good Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Saw the Get Smart review. I quite enjoyed it! It reminded me of when the Nostalgia Critic was good (no sketches and not as much yelling). Keep it up! Quote
