Skalldyr Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 I'll be doing this: Ulm Minster(worlds tallest church). And due to a silent Saturday (while on duty) I'm 80% done. Almost the same is true for me... I'll be doing this: Berliner Fernsehturm (Germanys tallest building). And due to a silent Saturday (while on duty) I'm 80% done. Quote
CopMike Posted March 22, 2014 Author Posted March 22, 2014 Though we have to bring it? Mine might crash, but i can give it a go... Bring it, hide it under a piece of cloth - to be revealed at TEOTJ ! Quote
Peppermint_M Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 Bring it, hide it under a piece of cloth - to be revealed at TEOTJ ! Ok, this will be fun. Gonna keep it in the carry-on in a plastic box I guess. I am now like 90% done on the build. I need to add string and the pretty black tile surround. I might even make a pretty custom sticker and box to go with the classy booklet I have made Quote
Holodoc Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I am now like 90% done on the build. Don't forget to post here what building you are working on... Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I choose this iconic building. It is the Evoluon in Eindhoven. It was once the science and technology exhibition of Philips. Quote
Peppermint_M Posted March 23, 2014 Posted March 23, 2014 I wanted to present it with all the classy extras. Buuut. Newport Transporter Bridge. It is a local landmark and super cool and something I can build! Quote
Chocolatecake Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Wonder what to build from Denmark, that I can build out of my tiny brickcollection. Quote

Legogal Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 (I am sure that Choc can crank that one out with less than 500 bricks! ) Holy Cow! Can you imagine the electrical bills at that little abode? Mowing the little yard must be a joy, too. My next question is where do you park your cars when you have a moat like that around your little shack? Quote

Does the play Hamlet ring a bell? that's that castle ! Great idea, but I don't have enough green cheeseslopes for the roof. Quote
Rolli Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Great idea, but I don't have enough green cheeseslopes for the roof. I can help you out with that After all I have been called the 'Master of Cheese' Quote
Redhead1982 Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 If I were from Danmark, I'd probably choose the Round tower (Runde torn or something like this in Danish) from Copenhagen. However, Danish castles or even the Queen's residence or the Opera house in CPH would make nice architecture models. Wonder what to build from Denmark, that I can build out of my tiny brickcollection. Quote
Rufus Posted March 26, 2014 Posted March 26, 2014 Royal Albert Hall anyone? Can we change our minds? Quote
CopMike Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 Can we change our minds? Up until the 7th of april ;-)! Quote
Cecilie Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Up until the 7th of april ;-)! Wasn't the deadline the 11th? Quote
CopMike Posted March 27, 2014 Author Posted March 27, 2014 Wasn't the deadline the 11th? Just kidding, you're right! I'm only upping the pressure :-)! Quote
Cecilie Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Just kidding, you're right! I'm only upping the pressure :-)! *phew* I really need the first week of April to test out some techniques before deciding Sadly no time this week Quote
Holodoc Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Royal Albert Hall anyone? Wohooo! Very challenging with the all-round structure. (For this reason I skipped this Holstentor Lübeck.) Good luck! Quote
Chocolatecake Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I can help you out with that After all I have been called the 'Master of Cheese' I regret that I didn't buy enough of them last time I went to the PaB-wall in Copenhagen. If I were from Danmark, I'd probably choose the Round tower (Runde torn or something like this in Danish) from Copenhagen. However, Danish castles or even the Queen's residence or the Opera house in CPH would make nice architecture models. Nice suggestions. Rundetårn/ Round tower would be a nice challenge. Quote
Calanon Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I... have no idea what to build. Famous buildings where I live really aren't interesting. I'll figure something out, hopefully. Quote
Vincent Kessels Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Rundetårn/ Round tower would be a nice challenge. Bonus point for 10 parts or less… Quote
Aredhel Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Wow! The Albert Hall would really be cool but indeed difficult. Quote
Pandora Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 Wohooo! Very challenging with the all-round structure. Wow! The Albert Hall would really be cool but indeed difficult. Exactly the reason we may yet change our minds! Quote
Holodoc Posted March 27, 2014 Posted March 27, 2014 I... have no idea what to build. Famous buildings where I live really aren't interesting. It doesn't have to be close to your place, you know? There must be something in Great Britain somewhere... Quote
L@go Posted March 28, 2014 Posted March 28, 2014 I'm going to build something that I started as a project a while back, but never came anywhere close to finishing - namely this. It's easily the most famous landmark in my home town of Bergen :) Quote
