DesignerJSL Posted March 22, 2014 Posted March 22, 2014 Hi all Eurobrickers! I'm a great fan of Lego (or is it lego or LEGO?), ever since me and my brother were given a twin set of very large boxes of pieces from a relative. They have been our number one past-time ever since I was about five. I recently discovered LDD too, and now I have an ambitious project on to build a complete Lego City, using the official models and some of my own. Here is my best model, created with real pieces first, and then modelled into LDD: Red Dragon XRJ Blockade Runner LXF file BTW, if you're wondering about the title, it's a reference to the fact that in the UK we sometimes forget there is a sun... Thanks for reading! Des Quote
Bricktimus Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Welcome to the community! I love your MOC, maybe set up a thread in the sci-fi forum to demonstrate it to everyone! I'm sure we'd all like to see more! Quote
DesignerJSL Posted March 24, 2014 Author Posted March 24, 2014 Thanks very much everybody! @Bricktimus, I did indeed add a post to the sci-fi forum with this very craft here. Thanks for your great comments, I have got some more MOC's and will hopefully upload them soon. Is it just me or do other people like naming the weapons on the craft almost as much as building them? dr_spock Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Welcome aboard. Is that new grey or old grey in the UK? Quote
-Horizon- Posted March 25, 2014 Posted March 25, 2014 Hello, nice to meet you too, Really like your space ship. Quote
DesignerJSL Posted March 25, 2014 Author Posted March 25, 2014 (edited) @lego3364, great, I'm glad you like it. The best part (I think) is the octagon-shaped hull at the back, since the bricks had to be rotated slightly to fit, and yet still work together. I am constantly amazed by what LEGO can do. @dr_spock, Hi there. Sorry, but I don't quite get what you mean? New grey / old grey? My original meaning was that here in GB we don't get much sun at all. :D (and I'm still waiting for one of our American friends to pick me out on the spelling!)
