iamded Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Hey Brick Miner, you could use the black horse as, like, a charred skeleton horse, who got burnt to death, along with his rider, and they stalk the roads seeking the one who... burnt them... to death.. or something. And Yoda, are you planning on getting/reviewing this set? Hey, I just realised why they brought back the original swords. They can slide right through the skele's lower ribs! Impalement ftw! Oh, and here's a shot of the skeleton sword being used in a scythe, from the Castle pic. Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 20, 2007 Author Posted May 20, 2007 Thanks Master Yoda. When my army of skellies will rule the planet, I shall spare your life. Maybe I'll apppoint you captain, or something like that. *skull* Spare NO one, except me that is :-D >:-) One question *yoda* . Do the regular horse helmets fit on the skeleton horses? I am not home but will answer that tomorrow ;-) However, I doubt they fit. Do the two knights in the Jousting set have blank torsos or not? Yep, no printings whatsoever: thats why I did not take the time to picture them :-P And Yoda, are you planning on getting/reviewing this set? You bet, especially if no one does it before ;-) I am so loving these castle stes 8- Quote
Shadows Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Hey, I just realised why they brought back the original swords. They can slide right through the skele's lower ribs! Impalement ftw! I doubt they considered that but it's an excellent point. *y* For years I've had a little pirate display consisting of a skeleton in a pirate captain's hat pinned to a ships wheel by a cutlass. With him standing firmly in place in front of the wheel and the sword inserted just right, it ends up in the spokes of the wheel making a solid and convincing display of either a mutiny or a last battle gone bad. My own version of 'Dead Men Tell No Tales.' Quote
Chuck Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 For any of you hoping for civilian sets (i.e. peasents, blacksmith, etc.), I think we may be sadly dissapointed. Seeing as this has an actual storyline structure, unlike the original castle sets, which was pretty much a medieval theme, the skeletons and humans fighting will probably be the only thing going on for castle this year. Maybe soon, but the closest thing we'll get is the port in the Skeleton Ship Attack. Just my opinion. -l2k- Quote
hewkii9 Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Say, xwingyoda, do you think you could also procure a picture of the 7009 Crownie knight's face without the helmet? Quote
DoubleT Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 No the Horse helmets to the regular Horses dont fit the Skeleton Horses. Just tried... Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 20, 2007 Author Posted May 20, 2007 Say, xwingyoda, do you think you could also procure a picture of the 7009 Crownie knight's face without the helmet? Sure thing, will do that tomorrow ;-) I do appologise for not posting the pics I promissed today ;-) *yoda* Quote

Chuck Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Thanks L2K, any possibility of a third faction in the near future? Oh, I have no idea. That wasn't a fact, that was just my personal opinion :-) Quote
Oliverphoenix Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Nice to see the Knight in the jousting set does come with the amazing decaled armour and it wasn't just limited to a big set, still all the sets seem pretty decent and as they are much cheaper than I thought they would be I'm going to be buying multpiles of all 3 sets for army buidling. That also leads me to question Legos logic, why is a set like 7091 Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 21, 2007 Author Posted May 21, 2007 Great pics Yoda, however looks like I wasn't very clear. What you did was fine, but I would've liked if the two knights you built also had the the black Euro Armour the evil Knight has (two different pics, of course). Oh well, I guess I'm annoying you now. :-D Okie, here you go (pardon the pics but the weather is really crappy |-/ ) And its a reason I am not a real fan of the black skellie: the printings are too soft, you don't see anything |-/ Is thtis what you wanted Shakar (lets hope it is :-D :-P ) Do the two knights in the Jousting set have blank torsos or not? Say, xwingyoda, do you think you could also procure a picture of the 7009 Crownie knight's face without the helmet? Here is the answers by pics to both questions ;-) *yoda* Quote
Shakar Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Don't worry Yoda, you're right this time. ;-) I have to say they look pretty cool! I'm not going to make these but, still, they look quite good. Shakar Quote
hewkii9 Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Alright, thanks! You never can get enough of those Rascus faces. The armored skellie looks good with th armor, too. Quote
iamded Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Oh.. wait.. NOOOOOOOOOO!!! The jousting set isn't available in New Zealand!! No black horse for me. :'-( Aww... oh well, I'll cope. Hopefully it's just not released yet. Also, the more I see these sets, the more I love the skeleton's new faces! They're really quite neat. And *yoda* , I'm looking forward to seeing that skeleton's wagon set review! :-D And again, great job with these reviews. *y* *y* Oh, and I noticed the evil Ogel-like wizard's hat has skeleton prints on it, which I think is quite cool. And are those lightning pieces new? They would be great for super-hero/super-villain customs. I'd buy that set just for those pieces. Okay, and for the cage, wizard and skeletons. ^.^ Quote

Shakar Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Ah, you got the Wagon too! Can't wait for the review, I'm really interested in that cool "little" set. Shakar Quote
hewkii9 Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 So am I, it's actually the one I'm looking forward to the most [lots of black parts, scared face, brown horse, 3 skelehorses, looks nice too]. Quote
Shakar Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 I concur! I think I've never seen a 20 Euro sets with so many minifigs (5), with so many acessories, plus it has THREE skellie horses and the first reddish brown normal horse! Shakar Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 24, 2007 Author Posted May 24, 2007 Sorry guys I am a little behind, will definitly post that great set review tomorrow ;-) *yoda* Quote
Brick Miner Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Hey Brick Miner, you could use the black horse as, like, a charred skeleton horse, who got burnt to death, along with his rider, and they stalk the roads seeking the one who... burnt them... to death.. or something.interesting idea... and thanks for the suggestion.this makes me wonder what LEGO is trying to interpret here with their black skeletons. are they supposed to be super-evil ??? or did they get burned to death as iamded suggested ??? why are they black ??? -------------------------------------------------- for me, the white ones seem like less explaining is needed... they just seem more "correct". - BM Quote
Brick Miner Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 For variety? :-D on that note, they could have done pink, orange, and red skeletons too ;-) that would be some variety :-D BM Quote
The Kid Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Hmm, I'm liking the red. Or black/white with red marks. Blood-stained! X-D TK Quote
