LegoSjaak Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Thanks for that list of links! So I have started my GE mod and reality has set in. I have two and that will build your version, but I am going to be like 68 windows and some bricks short for the 4th floor. I guess i'll be visiting Bricklink soon... Already made some progress on your MOD? Quote
Boettner Builds Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 Already made some progress on your MOD? Yes I have But I can't find my digital camera to start my own thread! Let's just say it's one floor short of perfect! Quote
LegoSjaak Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Yes I have But I can't find my digital camera to start my own thread! Let's just say it's one floor short of perfect! I did a lot of work on my XL Palace Cinema, the last two days..still waiting for some extra parts to finish the roof... Quote
RedBaron4850 Posted May 5, 2014 Author Posted May 5, 2014 Just finished my first and second floor interiors. Will post pictures tomorrow! Quote
Boettner Builds Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Like FINSHED!?!? I can't wait to see those pictures!!! Quote
RedBaron4850 Posted May 6, 2014 Author Posted May 6, 2014 The finished exterior of the buildings. Not too much has changed. The First floor. A few clothing racks and some perfume. There is a storage area behind the register that leads outside and another small room under the left escalator. This will be for stop loss or theft prevention once I a chair or two and some monitors. The second floor is men's and two dressing rooms. There is also a register on the second floor. I like the 3rd the best as there is something other than clothes. A few beds showing off our fine plastic sheets and other housewares. This is my first interior I have ever really tried to do so I'm sure it will change as I see fit. Any suggestions are welcome! lightningtiger Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Excellent changes you have made or added 'RedBaron4850'......have you considered a proper ironmongery department ? Brick On 'RedBaron4850' ! Quote
LegoSjaak Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I like the clothes, how many minifigs did you sacrifice for that...? I'm thinking of a small toy department, and i'm busy with expanding the variety of small toys available in the shop.. i won;t need too many bricks for that.. And also thinking of tiling...but that is rather expensive..... Looks great so far!! Quote
RedBaron4850 Posted May 6, 2014 Author Posted May 6, 2014 @Sjaak There is probably about 30 minifigures used for the clothes on the racks. It barely made a dent in my overall collection of minifigs. Most of them are the odd fronts or the ones i have way too many of like the overalls and the diagonal zipper torso. I may try to re-arrange the layout eventually, but for now it can stay. Quote
LAKAbricks Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 It's nice to see some interior in the many MODs here I like the addition of beds. It's not often, you see that in the GE. For the third (second) floor I think you could easily divide the tables into smaller tables for the different kinds of glasses and kitchen ware. Also the beds and bags you could be divided. And maybe some tables or shelves with textiles for the home? Quote
gunm Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 That's great! Love seeing the big modulars get even bigger! I don't have the space for that unfortunately, so I'll just live vicariously through y'all! Quote
