A few clarifications:

- There will be no deadline extent

- You can enter the two categories (with different entries), but you'll be only eligible to receive one prize. For example if you win both categories, you will receive 1st prize of category A, and the prize of category B will be given to the member who gets the second place.

Are the microscale or miniland allowed?

There is no restriction on scale. There is only a restriction on size, and the subject must be in the sci-fi range.

I'm looking forward to entering this, I just need to decide which figure to make a home for. There are so many...

There are ideas, only it was necessary to embody them in reality!

I might get something put together but I'm really busy lately so don't count on it.

EDIT: also, does starwars count as sci- fi or do you mean only themes in the sci- fi forum?

Can't understand how one could distinguish the base from the home!

You mean when taking pictures? Yes no problem, but post also pictures with "normal" light

I mean like wired lights inside the actual MOC. Such as Lifelites. :classic:

Would those be okay?

Lifelites are considered third party custom bricks... so not allowed :sceptic:

Well now that I know this is real, () I better get building!

And thinking... Where would I want to live in space...

It doesn't have to be space! You could live in a steampunk civilization!

Oh, I see. :classic:

I don't understand something. The task consists that I need to build not the simple house, it is necessary the house of the future or Steampunk. Did I get it right? :classic:

You get it right

You have to build a "house" that belongs to one of the Sci-Fi themes (space, steampunk, time travel, near future, etc...). It doesn't have to be based on an official Lego theme.

Only 20 days to post your entries guys and girls !!

Really cool contest, a shame that it overlaps so much with the current SoNE episode. :look:

not sure ill get the time for cat A, but for cat B, are we allowed to go the equivalent 256 studs on an odd baseplate? eg, 12x21?if not, is any overhang allowed for borders? i'm thinking 1 or 2 plates

Yes you can use any size of baseplate as long as it's no bigger than 16x16=256 studs².

Just a question:

"The goal of this contest is to build a home for your favorite Sci-fi theme, official or not."

Does this mean that we could perhaps build something based from a film or video game eg. The Matrix, Star Wars, Halo etc or does this contest rule them out? :classic:

You can build from any video games or movies, except for star wars since it's not covered by Eurobricks Sci-Fi subforum
