ShadowWolfHount Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Found this on Flickr! Well time for me to go hunt for some Jelly Belly... Oh wait the Mixels, well I go hunt for that too, but I'll hunt for the Jelly Belly first Quote
DraikNova Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I spotted building instructions for the MAXes, two MIXes end a MURP. Do you think there will be building instructions for all MIXes en MURPs? There are over two THOUSAND possible MIXes, MAXes and Murps, so I doubt it. That's without counting doubles (mixel+same mixel or mixel+same mixelx2), by the way, as with doubles you get three thousand. Quote
ShiningShinE Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 From that group image, though, it seems the mixes and murps that are shown are limited to combinations within a series. That would mean 'only' 36 combinations, excluding the maxes. Those are the 36 combination you can get by playing the game on the site. It'd be nice to have instructions for those, but indeed, even that might be too much. I'm personally most interested in combining Mixels of the same tribe, as the combos in the game look great, but I think they're commercially not that interesting to show off. The maxes probably already cover that. Quote

Doubles wouldn't be an issue, there are only 1 of each in story (as we currently know). Plus we don't know the limit of how many can combine into one, disregarding Max's which are 3 from their tribes. I'm thinking that given the blocks/plates they use to merge they could possibly even have 8 in a combo!?! But given the number of minds involved we'd be looking at transformer gestalt like minds, bonkers Quote
Meiko Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 CM4S, your image made me hungry. I do like how Mixels are being stocked in stores. It's a lot like CMFs. Quote
Lordofdragonss Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Lego Youtube have some episodes. HOLY BRICK They are so.... crazy. Quote
Riftx Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 Lego Youtube have some episodes. HOLY BRICK They are so.... crazy. This proves the Mixels themselves don't even know what'll happen the first time they mix with another, poor Seismo Also did anyone else notice the massive gear, perhaps a mech/robot tribe on the way? Quote
DraikNova Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 (edited) Not so much poor Seismo as much as poor Nixel. A lot of the landscape seems to be more or less random, though, so I wouldn't draw conclusions about the tribes from it. Edited February 11, 2014 by DraikNova Quote
Front Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 It's no secret I'm in love with this theme, and watching these videos only makes it all more hilarious, Just got a mixel to build monday, unfortunately it's only for loan. Have to bring it to a launcn party Erland Part Design Quote
ZORK64 Posted February 11, 2014 Posted February 11, 2014 My interest into these little guys started with the thought they'll be great parts packs, but their wacky series really starts growing on me too. It's been quite some time since I got so interested into on of TLC's original storylines. Quote
Kalhiki Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Oh my goodness. I don't know if I can handle the sheer craziness of it all. I need to get me some of these guys pronto. Quote

I read that article but must have missed the part where it gave names for some of the later tribes. Quote
DraikNova Posted February 12, 2014 Posted February 12, 2014 Ah, and the sillyness increases. It's so horrible, I just can't stop watching it. Which is why I am going to watch every episode of this undoubtedly successful train wreck-ing of sanity. It doesn't merely abandon logic, logic just doesn't feature in it one bit, which is why it's so amusing to see for me. What are your reasons for liking it? Quote

We haven't had decent set combines since the early days of Bionicle I came for the combinations, and I'm staying for the wacky "A little nonsense now and then is cherished by the wisest men" though this should fulfil my quota for the entire year! It doesn't merely abandon logic, logic just doesn't feature in it one bit, which is why it's so amusing to see for me. What are your reasons for liking it? I like it for the slapstick, primarily. It's simple, silly stuff, not something you have to think about. And that makes it ideal for airing during commercial breaks, since it won't distract from whatever show is actually airing at the time. I don't get quite as much enjoyment out of it as I get out of the LEGO City mini-movies, which are similar in length, rely almost purely on visual gags, and have upbeat music that matches the pace of the action. But they seem alright at what they do. Quote

It was the one where the Infernites unclog the pipes, and I see what you mean. Especially at the end where ice cream fixes everything. Where'd that come from? Quote

TNT apples Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Looks like you get nixels packaged with the mixels http://www.reddit.com/r/lego/comments/1xycov/my_first_inbag_build_wo0t_the_new_mixels_set/ I'm not sure if these are randomly put in or if it's just certain sets. Quote

Looks like each series will have 1 per tribe. I got one in Krader, checked the instructions online and Vulk & Teslo also come with one. The element I totally missed that's amazing me is there's a Black Ice Cream Cone with Teslo (the Friends one with the bar underneath and stud on top, has only been in Tan til now) Quote
DraikNova Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) If the Nixels are randomly packaged, how will LEGO check to see if the sets have all their parts? Edited February 15, 2014 by DraikNova Quote
PenPlays Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 If the Nixels are randomly packaged, how will LEGO check to see if the sets have all their parts? They aren't there is one Nixel per tribe of Mixels. You will only find a Nixel included with Krader out of all of the Cragsters for instance. Quote
Kalhiki Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 Got Flain, Krader, and Teslo at the Lego store. They're all so cute. I... I may just have to get them all now. I think out of the three, Krader is my favorite. And he comes with a Nixel, so that's cool. Quote
PenPlays Posted February 16, 2014 Posted February 16, 2014 I went shopping at the local (and people flooded) Lego Store and picked up all of the Infernites. Zorch is very bland and disappointing, Flain is a SNOT-fest and smaller than I thought (daawww), and Vulk is absolutely adorable! He's my favorite of the bunch. Vulk also includes a Nixel, so I'm very pleased... now to build the Infernite Max. Quote
