UniqueBuilder Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 Seems like we've got ourselves a new City fan here.. >:-) Convert on! Quote
Hobbes Posted May 17, 2007 Posted May 17, 2007 While your review is funny and has good pics (no surprise here ;-)) I still don't like the "station" - because IMHO it's just a platform. I had a gut feeling back in November/December that TLC would give us a new train station this year since 4513 is 3 years in the past, but this is a disappointment. I expected something more like a(n even more) modernized 4513 to accompany the airport or a revamped 4554. This is just a bigger platform that needs at least 4 copies and quite a few pieces (or better yet a 4554) from your own collection to make something decent. Still, the new City line hasn't shown that many non-police-or-fire sets in a long time. Good to see *y* Quote
BearHeart Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Nice review, I like the *yoda* touch. I really like the classic small town look to this station. I'm glad I didn't get the previous station because I like this one a lot better. Quote
gusmoore17 Posted May 20, 2007 Posted May 20, 2007 Lots of reviews.... And a specially *wub* and must have train station!! Yeah, congrats, *yoda* , for such work with this and the rest of the sets you've been kind enough to review. Hope to see this in Mexico!! *y* Quote
jeffrey Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 I am not a city fans, but some city sets still can catch my attention. However, the train station looks simply and lack of new ideas. The entry fence is a big problem. It looks really silly and pointless. I can't see any train station still have this horizontal swing of fence. It can surely be better. Quote
snefroe Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 It was also included in the 2005 train station.. You seem to have missed a LOT, my Spacey friend.. X-D what's a space guy doing in a train station anyway? :-| X-D Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 21, 2007 Author Posted May 21, 2007 what's a space guy doing in a train station anyway? :-| X-D Its NOT a space guy mind you space freak :-D Its a casual sport jacket with the CS logo, so don't jump into conclusions :-P *yoda* Quote
snefroe Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 Its NOT a space guy mind you space freak :-D Its a casual sport jacket with the CS logo, so don't jump into conclusions :-P *yoda* my guess is they're trying to get decent sales for the sets by adding these space guys... :-| but that's my personal and unbiased theory X-D Quote
xwingyoda Posted May 21, 2007 Author Posted May 21, 2007 my guess is they're trying to get decent sales for the sets by adding these space guys... :-| but that's my personal and unbiased theory X-D Yeay truly unbiased X-D :-P *yoda* Quote
Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted May 23, 2007 Eurobricks Emperor Posted May 23, 2007 Another excellent review Mr. Yoda. I agree, this set is a must have for any town fan. It looks soooo good. Quote
iamded Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Thanks for another great review *yoda* ! I love the bar/food place. And it looks more roomy up top of the train station than the older modernised one, which is good! Quote
Minifig Lecturer Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 I dont really like the station itself however the details are good and could be used in a good MOC. Especially the turnstiles and ticket machine. Quote
maiq the liar Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 I'm gettin' it when it comes out in USoA (united states of america.). what is the exclusive thing mentioned at the start? (P.S- the cart looks like the one from that special set that came with LOCO. unfortunately i didn't get it with the XP-compatible LOCO from lego's site. Quote
Zaktan of the Shadows Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 Cool! Seems like a good set. If I got it, I'm sure I could use it. -ZotS Quote
jngunsw Posted May 28, 2007 Posted May 28, 2007 (edited) thx for the review n pics ^^ this set is not a must-hv for me.... but it's nice to hv it ^^ Edit: Don't quote the entire post if you don't quote anything from it. Edited May 28, 2007 by Hobbes Quote
gormadoc Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 Très bien fait, I actually want to buy this set now. I have a question though, well two, are the tracks metal? Can you run trains on it? Thanks Quote
Rick Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 (edited) The track - as far as I know - is made for the RC trains, which means they're all ABS (plastic). They will however also be suitable for the new PF (Power Functions) trains coming out this summer. This new train line will also feature a new station though. Edited February 19, 2010 by Rick Quote
Cwetqo Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 This set was introduced with RC trains, so as it is mentioned above, tracks are new type, made completely of plastic and in dark bluish grey, so they dont neither work with 9v trains neither look good next to them. Those are actually the only four new tracks that I have and I use them just in my display cabinet. Quote
