Gideon Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 No need to stick it yet, let's just plan ahead and keep talking so it doesn't get buried too deep Quote
Bkrosell Posted April 6, 2014 Posted April 6, 2014 So do you guys think I should stick this post? Yes I know, there are too many up there already. But I think it'd be cool if it didn't get lost in bowels of this forum. I think that's a good idea, go for it. Quote
MKJoshA Posted April 8, 2014 Posted April 8, 2014 I'll be at Brickworld Chicago, but I won't be displaying anything. I'll have to bring my sigfig though so all the other GoHers know it's me Quote
Hyler Talliwell Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 I'll be at Brickworld, but nothing GoH related to display. Quote
Gideon Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 Great idea to bring the sigfig, that will definitely be small enough to bring over there Quote
kabel Posted April 9, 2014 Author Posted April 9, 2014 cool, lots of people in Chicago then, don't forget to take some cool pics. So guys, do you think we can replicate this on our side of the Atlantic? (In Antwerpen?) Quote
synbiote Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 I'll be attending Brick Mania Antwerp. Will I be showing something GoH related.. i might..not sure yet.. hard to find time to make stuff atm. And i do know that Damaximus is brewing on a something to show at BMAntwerp. I think Sebeus will join as well.. or so i hope :) Quote
kabel Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 Will I have a place to sleep somewhere though? Quote
Scaevola Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 I would stick this topic- I can see it being applicable in the future as well as now Quote
ZCerberus Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 It's not exactly a LEGO festival, but Torgar and I are building something for a comic book convention in the Twin Cities (St Paul), MN. The show is May 18-19. I think I am going to miss Brickworld this year as my son will be turning 1 that week. Quote
Gideon Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) I think I am going to miss Brickworld this year as my son will be turning 1 that week. Sad to hear that, would have been fun to meet you there! Btw we are bringing our 1 year old with us Edited April 15, 2014 by Gideon Quote
ZCerberus Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I had palnned to go earlier, but the logistics of bringing LEGO and a 1 year old just didn't work for us. I would like to bring him in the future for sure, but I would also like to have a major project to show as well. I am working with Torgar on the collab for Minnesota which should be awesome, but I would be thinking even more grand for Brickworld! Yes, it would be nice to meet some friends from across the pond and a great builder like you, but reality doesn't always bend to our wishes. Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I wish I could go to Brickworld, but as I said, familly trip with Carson Haupt to Yellowstone! but we will be going through Denver- maybe Lego store?- so yay! Quote
Rogue Angel Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 So, any updates for Brickworld attendees now that we are getting close? Quote
Gideon Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 I'm attending with my family, and I've registered to display one of my planned Challenge 2 builds. Now all that remains is to actually do the build and make it transportable between my shirts and socks when traveling over the pond I hope that we can arrange some kind of GoH member gathering quite early (Thursday?) as I'm really looking forward to meeting some of you in person! Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted May 16, 2014 Posted May 16, 2014 @Gid: If you are near Scott City, KS, than mabye we can work something out? ;) Quote
Maxim I Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 (edited) Kabel, nice idea mate! About Brickmania Antwerp: Sebeus, Synbiote and myself will be there The plan is to make a huge Castle lay-out with some big cities (like Thorshaven & Mpya Stedor) and castles (like the one of Belug-member Bart), some smaller villages and scenes and a big battle in the middle. The idea is a GoH versus BELUG (and maybe even Lowlug, Bart is looking for that) clash, where the two worlds come together on the battlefield. edit: and ofcourse you are welcome again to sleep on the couch and brick till the early hours in the night Edited May 22, 2014 by Damaximus Quote
DungeonsAndFlagons Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Well I would be keen to visit Skærbæk.....it is just down the road and over the bridge. Quote
kabel Posted May 25, 2014 Author Posted May 25, 2014 DM: as long as we can enjoy some cold beers again, I'm happy to sleep on the couch. So, could any of the Swedes perhaps make it to Antwerpen in November? More folks from Gremany would be apreciated too, although it was a lot of fun trying to make out some sense of this funky language they speak in Flanders! Quote
Gideon Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Only 9 days left until Brickworld Chicago! Two questions: Who is attending? Should we arrange some kind of GoH gathering at a suitable time Thursday or Friday? (I will bring the part that counts of my Challenge II entry to the exhibition btw) Quote
Infernum Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I won't be going, but I had an idea last night. One of the Photoshop masters on here should make a "GoH Business Card" that they could upload, then anyone who's going to an event could bring the card with their MOC and have a little GoH ad! Quote
kabel Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 we were actually thinking about something like that last year in Antwerpen, so I'd say Go(H) for it! Quote
Gideon Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 I will be bringing my sigfig and will try to attach him to my nameplate Quote
Gilbert Despathens Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 we were actually thinking about something like that last year in Antwerpen, so I'd say Go(H) for it! Agh, the punishment... Quote
