Motorized propeller, control surface, and maybe motorized retractable gear? Biplanes don't have winches or ramps or openable nose or tiltable rotors. Agreed, 1k pieces is probably excessive. Something in the 500-750 range like the 42040 Fire Plane would be more appropriate for a biplane. A Cessna-type GA aircraft would be much more appropriate for 1k+ pieces, with openable doors and cockpit controls Quote

Instead, it's just showcase model better made in the Creator Expert series. With this new piece, I really hope for a truck/trailer-combo with 49.5 tires. Maybe even with a construction vehicle on top like the 8872. A small wheel loader with forks? I am pretty sure Lego will use the Liebherr license for a new mobile crane. Maybe with the 62.4 wheels, but only in H2. I sadly lost hope for a big dump truck as soon as the 42114 appeared. Also: Tractor! Ideally with new smaller tractor tires in front, bigger in back and multiple attachments coming with it. At last as a flagship model maybe a tracked harvester for corn? I mean the Claas license would be perfect for this... (also with the newer, smaller tractor tires in the back and big sprocket wheels) Edited August 18, 2020 by Jundis Quote
1gor Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 @Jundis if you use XL sprockets from Liebherr then Class tires are perfect fit and model of CLASS Jaguar as on picture you posted is not to big actually (trust me undercarriage is under testing to see if I can make both terratrac and wheel drive powered by 2 XL motors) Quote

The perspective fooled me here. :D But then again, it would not fit the Xerion in scale... This thing will be huge in your configuration! Return of rubber tracks maybe? :-) Quote

Return of rubber tracks maybe? :-) Yes it will be relatively big; just one dimension - it will be 27 studs wide (scale 1:15) and you are also right it does not fit 42054 scale. To fit 42054 scale it should be based on 80mm tires on rear axle and would be perfect playable set for some 100€? 1 hour ago, Ngoc Nguyen said: Given the prodigious amount of lime part this year it also makes sense for TLG to release a CLASS sth as a flagship next year. Theoretically yes, but question is which model? This year new Lexion harvester was introduced and I do not have info how interesting are harvesters for target audience since it probably could follow full C+ (not aspirin ) functions and cost about 400€? Very hard to say yes, but i was wrong in predictions several times like this year I didn't believe that LEGO would make flagship with 3 new differentials; I was tipping on this kind of damper Forgot to mention that it seems that Claas appears every leap year (2016, 2020)... The 42054 was 150€, I think such a Claas Jaguar would have about the same piece count of 2000. So unmotorized about 160€, motorized around 240€? In this configuration, we have the same scale as the 42054 (width 22 studs, so about 3 m = scale 1:17, same as Arocs) A great feature would be the the elevation of the front sprocket wheels for better turning, connected in regard of the steering angle of the real wheels. 6 hours ago, I_Igor said: Forgot to mention that it seems that Claas appears every leap year (2016, 2020)... I really don't consider the 42102 as the real deal for a claas model... also 2 models don't make a consistent sequence :-P The only repeating technic brand is still Volvo: 42030 (2014) 42053 (2016) 42081 (2018) 42114 (2020) Quote
Ngoc Nguyen Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 How can this thing be rebranded or fictionalized for future release? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northrop_Grumman_B-2_Spirit Air Race Glider? Firefighting Glider? Quote

XenoRad Posted August 20, 2020 Posted August 20, 2020 I'd like to see 2-3 sets a year of licensed cars like 42093 Corvetter ZR-1. Keep them relatively small, under 1000 parts, maybe keep them in scale with the 42098 Car Transporter. Let them have a few functions, at most a working engine and opening hood, trunk and doors but no gearbox, suspension or electronics. Focus on styling and consistency and a series of model cars as such can run for many years. I've been collecting diecasts for many years now, but I do like that with Lego, you get to build them and they are more playable. If the Lego models are reasonably accurate I think this could be a great idea. There is a market for more affordable Lego models of real licensed modern cars. Few will get the Porsches, Bugattis and Lamborghinis. But many will get the Corvettes, BMWs, Mercedes', Alfa Romeos, Fords and such. Quote

Though I wouldn't mind seeing a line of cars with some Technic functionality (steering, fake engine) combined with detailed exterior (like Creator Expert). So interior made of Technic, exterior made of System pieces. I'm not sure if they should be released under the Technic branding though. Quote
