Duncan Young Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 I didn't think we'd get killer moth so I'm not yet sure who is off limits now Quote
benderisgreat Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 I'm going to state the obvious: more x-men and F4. Marvel isn't interested in promoting these characters anymore. Quote
Marvelous Spidey Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 I don't think it's fair to say that Marvel isn't interested in promoting F4 and X-Men when Deadpool gets a lot of attention, Secret Wars was largely a F4 story, there are at least 5 books in their lineup that feature X-Men and they have the Apocalypse War event going on. Obviously they're going to promote characters they make more money off MORE but they haven't just abandoned the characters like everyone seems to suggest. I imagine we will see X-Men characters in LEGO form again, but we will probably never see a them as prevalently as a lot of people would like. Quote
LEGODalekbuster523 Posted May 23, 2016 Posted May 23, 2016 Reed Richards Susan Storm Johnny Storm The Thing Daisy Johnson/Quake Fitz Simmons Mack Lincoln Campbell Lance Hunter Lash Grant Ward/Hive As much as I like the above characters, there's a very slim chance they'd make them into minifigures. ToaDraco Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Marvel: Mephisto, Blackheart, Lilith, Morbius, Death, Daimon Hellstrom, Hive DC: Swamp Thing, Spectre, Trigon, Etrigan, Constantine Quote
Venkefedo Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 Gwen Stacy I think we might see a Spider-Gwen minifig in the next few years. Hopefully she'd have masked & unmasked heads (ala Captain Marvel), a hairpiece, and her hood! Quote

Actor Builder Posted May 24, 2016 Posted May 24, 2016 I'm thinking we may never actually get a Batman Minifigure... Quote
pittpenguin123 Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Another deadpool. At least we got bootlegs Quote
BaneShake Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I doubt obscurity or goofiness would stop a figure from appearing, so long as it's fun. My guess is on particularly dark themes or less toyetically interesting designs being the factors that would keep one being made. John Constantine seems unlikely, what with his chain-smoking, "normal guy" appearance, and particularly mature stories. Doctor Light, being a psychotic rapist, is also out. Victor Zsasz, being a realistic serial killer. Jessica Jones's Purple Man, obviously. Jonah Hex is probably too violent, sadly. KGBeast, due to his association with the KGB. Snowflame, the greatest cocaine-powered supervillain of all time, clearly wouldn't cut it. Quote
jamie75 Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 With Marvel putting X-Men and F4 on the back burner. I would be surprised to see another set with them in it. Dr. Doom is main F4 villain and was in a Spider-Man set in 2013. Unless Fox gives up the rights to them. We may not see another set along those lines. With X-Men, we only got 2 sets with them in it, and those were in 2012 and 2014. It's a shame too with alot of characters to be had. But, I would love a Galactus figure along the lines of Giant-Man, with a Fantasticar and BigFig Thing, Mr. Fantastic with long legs and arms, Human Torch, and Sue Storm. While having those to transparent won't happen, I'd take solid figures of them. Jamie Quote
Jbricks Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Doctor Light, being a psychotic rapist, is also out. Is he really? In the Teen Titans show, he's a robber whose plan always fails and is beaten easily. In the Flash show, she's a robber who works for Zoom. Those are probably the versions kids would know. Unless I'm talking about the wrong Doctor Light Quote

Titans's was the common depiction, but the comic writers wanted to make him more of a threat, so he suddenly became all about rape (not exactly their finest moment in character work). The Flash was a sort of conglomerate character; a (non-rapist) villain like the earlier one, but a female character like the later one (she's a hero in the comics). We could get a hero lady Dr. Light by Lego's presumed policies, but the male villain would probably be too controversial. Quote
Vindicare Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I didn't think we'd get killer moth so I'm not yet sure who is off limits now Me too. I guess backgrounds & characters actions don't play a part in who we get. Never thought we'd see Deadpool, Deathstroke, Red Hood and the like. I was most surprised to see Carnage so far. Nothing like a murdering psychopath. As for FF & X-Men, fairly surprised they didn't piggyback on Apocalypse coming out & release at least one X-Men set, to our knowledge, in the second half release schedule. Quote
NXS7 Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Guys, just remember that LEGO has made the Joker, and by his source material, he makes Dr Light look like a charity worker Quote
8BrickMario Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Yeah, but the Joker's been in plenty of child-friendly media which doesn't make him quite as dark. It depends on the depiction, really, not the character. Quote
Gomek Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 I don't think we will ever see Punisher from Marvel, unless they tone down the violence of the character a bit. I would also say that Ghost Rider is very unlikely, especially after the disastrous films with Nicholas Cage. I'm not so sure about DC, but I have a feeling we wouldn't get that Victor Szasz (is that how you spell it?) because of the extreme violence associated with the character. You realize there is a Ghost Rider set coming out soon right? Quote
