Endgame Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 "Motorized, I guess? Sounded like a much louder version of the Minoid." Quote
The_Customizer Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 "Hmm, if the Minoid claimed the creature had a beating heart, yet everyone else claims it is mechanized, perhaps it is a mixture of both human and mechanism?" Quote
Endgame Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 "STATEMENT: The Giant may very well be an organic lifeform weilding a mechanical weapon. STATEMENT: Someone still had to produce said weapon. STATEMENT: Without further analysis, there is only two things we can be sure of - it weilds a weapon that is likely mechanical and therefore built by something, and it has a beating heart. Draw any conclusion from those two facts if you are able. QUERY: Shall I destroy the other cave-in in the previous room so that we may progress?" Quote
The_Customizer Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 "Yes, lets take out the other cave-in and see where that leads to." Quote
Flipz Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 "I'd prefer we clear out the rest of this floor before we move down. We should also escort these miners back to the entrance, unless they'd rather go on their own." "Here is a map I've drawn of where we've been so far. Is this accurate?" Quote
Endgame Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 "Actually, the room right before this one links back to the opening foyer. We can show ourselves out. Oh, and to use the crank on the elvator, you're going to have to use the elevator key." The miner passes Arthur a weathered key to use the elvator. "So unless you wanna take a 800 foot plunge down the shaft, use that. Now, should we go our sperate ways?" Quote
Flipz Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 OOC: so the unblocked door we saw just before the breakroom connects to the left path from the opening foyer? Quote
Endgame Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 QM Note: You are correct. The main mine circuit for floor one is essentially a diamond. Quote
Flipz Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 "In that case, we wish you well before we go our separate ways. Onward!" Quote
Endgame Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 The party and the freed miners go their seperate ways. The Minoid steps up to the second cave-in, repeating the procedure he had done just a minute beofre. In a matter of seconds, the rock is reduced to mere rubble, the party's way no longer blocked. The forge onwards, eventually reaching the elevator room.. To the left of the elvator sits some boulders, and to the right some scaffolding. The party begins to walk forward when something very odd happens... The mining materials begin moving. Rock crunches and wood splits as the scaffolding and boulders begin to rumble. A black aura surrounds them as they tremor, altering their shape... The wood splits and splinters, creating some appendages. They knot and meld into the main body, an ape-like collosus assembling itself. The boulders stack and begin to mesh into eachother, rock powder flying off of the minerals as they combine. The party steps back as the two new foes begin to approach them, seemingly possesing the mining materials... "Hmm, Bouldlord. What do you make of these four little whelps?" "Well, Scafflord, I dare say they are sticking their noses where they don't belong!" Quote
Endgame Posted April 26, 2014 Author Posted April 26, 2014 "Aww, it seems the poor creature is confused." "This must be a pretty drastic change in pace! He looks positively dumbfounded." "Well, little skirmisher, I'm afraid we can't allow things to escalate any more than they already have. We need to drop the hammer on you folks before anything gets too badly derailed. If it takes this little spectacle, then hey, atleast you'll go out with a bang, right?" Quote
The_Customizer Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Erdathcath quickly consumes a smelling salt before something can happen. "So, you made up your names based off of what you are possessing? Sounds lovely, bring it on!" Quote
Flipz Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 "Minoid, could you perform a scan of these creatures?" Quote
Endgame Posted April 27, 2014 Author Posted April 27, 2014 (edited) "COMMECNING SCAN." "As the darling little automaton has revealed, we are not going to be beaten by the likes of you." "You will not meddle in our affairs anymore! Now, you have a choice: Death by rocks to the head, or a stake to the heart?" Edited April 27, 2014 by Endgame Quote
Flipz Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 "We've got this." Arthur passes two Grand Tonics to Grimwald. "Master Grimwald, if you could use that Scroll of Poisoning on Lady Erdathcath's handcannon, we'll be in good shape." Quote
Endgame Posted April 27, 2014 Author Posted April 27, 2014 "Tall talk for a little man. We'll put a swift end to your little rebellion." "Heroica simply has the nastiest tendency to barge in on us during our errands, but whether we do the deed or not, your end awaits you in this mine." Quote
Flipz Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Arthur also uses a Mead on Erdathcath and passes her his Overkill Gloves, swapping them for his cloak of Misfortune. Quote
The_Customizer Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 "Wait, Arthur, hold your blade for a moment." Erdathcath turns to the beasts, "Wait, you say you have errands and Heroica keeps interrupting you? What are these errands, perhaps if we were to help you would you leave us and other humans alone forever?" Quote
Flipz Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 "Somehow, I doubt we'll like the 'errand' they have in mind..." Nonetheless, Arthur's brow furrows as he considers their words. "Come to think of it, however...they do seem familiar somehow, but I can't quite place it. Can either of you?" Quote
Endgame Posted April 27, 2014 Author Posted April 27, 2014 (edited) "Wait, Arthur, hold your blade for a moment." Erdathcath turns to the beasts, "Wait, you say you have errands and Heroica keeps interrupting you? "Why would you assist your own demise?" "You're welcome to enlist in the Devil Program, though!" Edited April 27, 2014 by Endgame Quote
The_Customizer Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 "Well, now that we are done listing different adjectives to describe one's mental or physical situation, what is this Devil Program you talk about, sounds exciting!" Quote
Endgame Posted April 27, 2014 Author Posted April 27, 2014 "It's amazing!" "With a plethora of benefits!" "Your body is enhanced!" "Your mind is sharpened!" "Extended life span!" "Alleviates all of your stress for the rest of your life!" "More power than you've ever weilded in your pathetic, squishy lives!" "A jolt to your brain's pleasure center every 2 hours!" "And the cost is tiny." "What we expect from you is minimal." "Unswerving obedience to our master and cause (which you will be permanently brainwashed into having)!" "So, now we ask..." "Do we have a deal? A brand new, powerful body, and no worries or cares for the rest of your life! Free will is a tiny price to pay." Quote
The_Customizer Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 "Hmm, sounds like something that would work, just who is your master, and what is your cause?" Quote
