The Lego Movie Build Event returning to TRU 4/12!

By popular demand the 'Build Emmet's Car' event has returned.

I attended the first and it was a riot. Not enough supply to meet demand. Apparently this time they're more than prepared. I heard the manager at my local store say they had 'hundreds' and my TRU is pretty rural.

I missed out last time, but since the people at my local TRU are awesome, I got mine this evening.

But if you want to get some free bricks, or do something fun with the kids, it's free, and takes place at your local TRU from 12-2 tomorrow.

Be aware, the model does NOT include a minifigure.

Same here Toby Adams, same here! Thanks for giving us the info anyway B-Lister; it's nice that they are producing the car for Emmet (for someone at least).

Well, the car is a modified reissue of 3177. You could easily buy that set and the parts needed to modify it a whole lot cheaper than the kit costs on ebay.

The instructions are easy to find. I can even send them to anyone who wants them.

I just discovered that this time around, they printed a new set of instructions as the original had a typo stating there were two extra parts included for the alt build, when there was really only one.

Other than that, it appears to be identical to the first release, with no changes or improvements.

Completists will want the new instructions though.
