Klaus-Dieter Posted August 3, 2008 Author Posted August 3, 2008 (edited) I would like to see a TV station Lego set with Newsroom, Helicopter, and Mobile TV Studio. It would have all kinds of equipment such as TV cameras, microphones, video tapes, weather radar, and the newsroom set complete with anchor desk, sports center, and weather center. It would include a few TV camera operators, news anchormen and women, and some meteorologists. I realize what Lego City lacks is an Eyewitness News team, since the last set with that theme was released in 1997/98. If they were to release that Lego set or something similar, it would give Lego City something quite different from the usual Policemen, Firemen and Doctors.Something like this.... ...or this... ...but with the modern looks of other Lego City Sets plus a building featuring the newsroom and anchor desk. It would fill a much-needed niche in Lego City. Just imagine...WLGO-TV 7 (or KLGO-TV 7) Eyewitness News. That's an excellent idea, Justin! I really would like to see a comeback of the TV theme, too! On the one hand with the well tried sets like a camera van and a TV helicopter like you mentioned, Justin. On the other hand with some new sets like a TV station ( ) and a cable transmitter satellite dish like maiq the liar mentioned. And it's true: Kids would really like it because of its playability (and the most kids grow up with TV, so it's something "very important" and something which really belongs to their world like police, fire, ..., too) and AFOLs would like it in order to add more realism to their cities. (It's a shame that I didn't write this theme on one of the forms for new City themes and mailed it to Copmike. ) A modernized contemporary version of 6390/10041 Main Street, Main Street II featuring a more realistic urban setting with sleek, beefed-up civilian and construction vehicles and an upscale hotel which can be built as "completed" or "under construction" just like the original two. It would also contain two dark gray road plates and a streetlight similar to the one in the Batmobile Lego set. A set like that would complement any town or city layout and be a perfect companion set to 10184 Town Plan. That's a very nice idea, too! I really would like to see another Main Street, too - but what about then with a shop instead of the car store? A new hotel is a must - in my eyes independant from whether we will get a new Main Street or not. BTW: Welcome to Eurobricks, Justin! Klaus-Dieter Edited August 3, 2008 by Klaus-Dieter Quote
Justin Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 (edited) I have another idea for a new Lego City set: A fast food hamburger restaurant, quite possibly an updated version of 6683 Hamburger Stand, but with interior seating and a drive thru. Just imagine... an updated version of this set. Edited August 4, 2008 by Justin Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted August 7, 2008 Author Posted August 7, 2008 Again a really nice idea, Justin! We already discussed several times that restaurants, shops and kiosks are really needed! I already posted in the Embassy subforum that as variety I really would like to see some old-fashioned buildings for the City theme. I mean: I'd like some City buildings (shops with apartments upstairs) in the design very similar to the nice CC styled buildings - but smaller and with typical City elements (open backwalls, nice interior, many minifigs, bycicle, car, ...). What do you think about that? Klaus-Dieter Quote

Pencoin Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 If there was one thing I wanted when i was younger it was a theme park theme. Roller coasters, Ferris wheels, Log flumes, The list is pretty much endless. Doubt it would happen though . Quote
BatonMedved Posted August 28, 2008 Posted August 28, 2008 Sorry for small size cause it been deleted by author from BS: Quote

Justin Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 A revival of the Outback theme would be nice. Especially since they haven't released any sets featuring road trains or the royal flying doctor planes. It would be great to see LEGO release new sets based on Australian culture. Quote

That's a good idea, Justin. The outback sets were great (regrettably I don't own any of these ) and I really would like to see some more of this theme. Klaus-Dieter Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted November 3, 2008 Author Posted November 3, 2008 I've got a new idea for some new City sets: one or two old red clinker warehouses like them in the Speicherstadt (Old Warehouse District) in Hamburg a Van Carrier I really would  these sets (mainly the Speicherstadt )! What do you think? Some new ideas, too? Klaus-Dieter Quote
Zarkan Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Here's an idea - Lego Carnival. This theme could incorporate a ton of fun sets involving everything you'd find at the average city carnival. Ideas for sets could include the following: - Game stands with working functions. You could have a target shooting booth with some kind of shooting device, a crane game with a working crane, etc. - Small rides like bumper cars, mini planes, etc. - Stands for food, drinks, ice cream, gifts, toys, and anything else that you could find at a carnival. They could package several of these together as well. - Big rides like a Feris Wheel, carousel, and possibly even a roller coaster. - Other things like an arcade, mini golf, etc. This would be a welcome break from inner city themed kits, and would be plenty of fun for both kids and adults. Klaus-Dieter Posted November 4, 2008 Author Posted November 4, 2008 These are great ideas, Grevious! I really would like some sets like these - and I bet that a lot of other AFOLs as well as many JFOLs would like these sets, too! Mainly the bigger carnival rides could be poewered by PFs. And if TLG wants to design some sets very authentic and brilliant they could add some electric lightning for the stands and rides. Why don't you add these set ideas to the list of set wishes in the Embassy subforum?! Klaus-Dieter Quote
Justin Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 An updated version of the Space Shuttle and launch pad that is scaled similarly to the large CITY airplanes. Quote
Captain Zuloo Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 A revival of the Outback theme would be nice. Especially since they haven't released any sets featuring road trains or the royal flying doctor planes. It would be great to see LEGO release new sets based on Australian culture. That would be fantastic. And a realistic RFDS hangar would be awesome. Like an airport for the flying doctor. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted November 25, 2008 Author Posted November 25, 2008 That would be fantastic. And a realistic RFDS hangar would be awesome. Like an airport for the flying doctor. That's a great idea, Captain Zuloo! A hangar for a little plane would in general be awesome! I've got a new idea, too: TV tower with little bottom house (ticket and souvenirs shop), elevator and little turnable restaurant on top (the elevator and/or the turnable restaurant may be functioning by PF) Of course this would be a S@H Exclusive and no regular set. But I really would like to get something like this. What do you think about that? Klaus-Dieter Quote

Derek Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 Nice ideas. I think that we should definately get some more stores, and some more food. here is just something about minifig food that I like so much. However, 11 minifigs for the grocery store and bowling alley seem a little unrealistic for TLC. T Quote
