lightningtiger Posted August 6, 2010 Posted August 6, 2010 A cruise ship might be a bit much, it would have the price tag of The Death Star with minifigs.......a cabin cruiser with about 3 minifigs going either fishing or water skiing might be a safer bet. In the same vein, a new police patrol boat - same shape by light bar and police trim would be a good idea. The captain of the cruiser might have been drinking and the water police might want to breath test the guy(or girl-could be a female captain). I'm a conformist! ! Quote

SilentMode Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 How about some of these things: a lido (indoor swimming pool) a skating park an ice cream parlour a casino a cable car station a marina Just thinking out loud. I really like the idea of an energy series; a nuclear power plant immediately springs to mind. I also like the clamper and the supermarket ideas, and especially Tour de France. I have a feeling we'll see something along the lines of a cruise ship. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted August 13, 2010 Author Posted August 13, 2010 I really like all of your last ideas - excellent! Hopefully TLG will answer our prayers for those sets! Btw: A pleasure cruiser would - if it only included two cabins with bathrooms, a restaurant and an engine room downstairs and a swimming-pool, a bar, a sun terrace and the bridge upstairs - surely not more than 100-150 Euros. And even if it was more expensive, I really would like to see TLG releasing a pleasure cruiser! Klaus-Dieter Quote
Jasper Joppe Geers Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Hmmm.. I like the idea of a school! And: a dentist would be a fun set to me! Quote
Mr. Elijah Timms Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 And: a dentist would be a fun set to me! Great idea-- I could only imagine how they'd brick-build all those crazy arms and gadgets. And how 'bout a minifig with a big hole in his smile! Quote
lightningtiger Posted August 13, 2010 Posted August 13, 2010 Yeah, I could see a dentist design.....two storey city corner style, reception down the bottom and the dentist office upstairs.....but the brickbuilt drill might be a bit of a shock ! You could have a Steve Martin character as a mad/crazy dentist like from Little Shop Of Horrors.......'To be a dentist.....you have to cause great pain !' I'm a conformist! ! Quote
Justin Posted August 19, 2010 Posted August 19, 2010 Not exactly the most original ideas in the world, but I would like to see LEGO reissue all of the Shell and Exxon sets (excluding the Shell sets from 1999) in Octan stickers and colors. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted October 13, 2010 Author Posted October 13, 2010 Here's a new idea for a nice smaller Farm set (which maybe or even supposably would be a very small Exclusive because of the many chrome-grey pieces): Chrome-Grey Tractor tractor (like the one included in the Farm main set - but without dig) in chrome-grey blue plow (to add to the tractor's back) minifig: farmer (yellow torso and pants) accessory: apple Klaus-Dieter Quote

It's also time for more non police/fire sets, a hardware store and a furniture store would be handy, eh ? Keep on dreamming ! Quote
Mrlegoninja Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I really hope for LEGO to release some buildings like the ones in town plan. Quote

Good Cheer Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 If the price were right, I'd like to see sets for a school, a post office, a supermarket, an ice cream shop.... (unfortunately my top picks sound a lot like Playmobil offerings, so perhaps that is why TLG is not selling those sets. Then again, there are plenty of other parallel offerings. Perhaps themes with more obvious "boy" appeal are what gets marketed.) Quote
Biggie Smals :) Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 Alright, Lego City one of the most popular lego themes. Everyone would wanna know what idea you have. Remember every comment counts! see. I wanna see a new lego hospital because they dont sell the old one anymore. Quote
The Yellow Brick Posted October 31, 2010 Posted October 31, 2010 (edited) I dont want to sound like a 'mini mod', but again there is a massive discussion going on Here. You should really look around the forum before posting, just because someone might have already posted something the same or similar. Edited October 31, 2010 by The Red Brick Quote

Kaptin_BarfBeerd Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 With Lego going back to its roots regarding civilian city sets, just wondering what the community here would think about set ideas like these. School House: I don't ever recall seeing a school or any school like building in any Lego catalogs. Would any city builders be interested in adding a school to their city scape? I know Lego is a kids toy and school is very unpopular with kids but a school house would at the very least give the 7585 Bulldozer something to ram through Prison: I'm sure everyone knows TLC loves to go overboard on their fire and police themes, but I'm sure this is one building we havent seen and probably should. The police stations have holding cells but I don't ever recall seeing a prison in Lego catalogs. With the new police sets (and more criminal minifigs and inadequate cells), a prison seems to be a much needed addition to a Lego city. Fast Food Takeaway: I know TLC released an Italian Restaurant in the 90's and we have a pizza shop in one of the new City sets but a Fast Food Takeaway also seems to be a good idea. Lego could also make their own "Brickburger" chain of Fast Food Takeaways like they did with the petrol stations with the "Octan" name Mall: This one might be a bit tricky cos malls are huge and a huge model requires a huge number of bricks and consequently, a hefty price tag. I know we have a few shops in the City line but I still think a shopping center of some sort would be a good idea. It would also give the criminals another place to steal from making more use of the police sets. If a mall would be too big, I think a market or some kind would be a viable alternative. These are just a few ideas, thoughts anyone? Quote
LegoSjaak Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Unnecessary quote of entire post removed by moderator -TheBrickster You can build a school out of the set 4954 Townhouse....This is a creator set of wich you can build 3 buildings. One of them is a school.... Greetz, LegoSjaak Quote
