I would love to see trolley/rail bus, just like one in Toronto, Ontario, Canada or in San Francisco, California.

Trolley buses would be awesome as well as guided buses.  Although as I mentioned earlier, a Rubber Tyre Tram would also be fun

Great Vehicle Ideas:

  • Taxi Cab - basically a six stud wide version of the taxi from the doughnut shop opening set. Similar shape to the police car from the 2020 brick box.
  • Jumbo Jet - first time a standalone passenger jet has been done since the 2006 and 2010 airport waves. This would also be the biggest vehicle in a great vehicle wave to date.
  • City Mail Van
  • City Bank Truck
  • City Food Market Truck
  • Octan Tow Truck
  • Vital Rush Truck
  • Bendy Bus

1. The taxi needs to have space for more than 1 minifig

2. Agree! But it needs to have AT LEAST 20 seats

3. Very good! But maybe on a Mail subtheme

4. With a bank would be the perfect set!

5. Hmmm... Interesting...

6. Definetly great! And also maybe some kind of Octan gas transporter or something like that!

7. What is it?

8. Great idea! We also need a new transport hub!

A vita rush truck, a truck version of this set(probably)

But here are my ideas for a new subtheme of great vehicles:

-Octan Tanker Truck- truck similar to 3180 but with new wheels and a new design and a side build(small gas pump)

-Vip Jet-six stud plane in a dark blue color with a few seats and detailed interior:bathroom, TV, tables and small cockpit and a working door

-Rally Car-6 stud car with a lot of stickers and some accessories

-Container Transport Truck- Big Truck with Trailer, containers with cargo inside and a forklift

-Paramedics Car-Small 4 studs car with a compartment for medical tools, a crash scene with a broken bike and a injured person

-Mobile Crane-Big Crane with a big working boom, functional outriggers, construction site, a few workers and a lot of accessories

And finally some ideas taken from @Brandon Pea but with details that I that think that would be cool

-Mail service -Six studs van with a small side build, some boxes and envelopes

-Armored Truck- Cash truck with the new wheels(that appeared in the car and service truck of60306, for example) with a crook on a motorbike with a chain in the back

8. Great idea! We also need a new transport hub!

What we need is a Public Transit Subtheme.  with sets such as

1.  A Bikeshare/Scooter share stop, where you can get either a scooter or a bike to use for a short time.  A great addition to go with this would be roads with Bike lanes and bike paths

2.  A taxi cab, as you mentioned, with room to fit more than one person.  Also needed are taxi stops, and a taxi depot/repair shop

3.  More types of buses, such as a smaller shuttle bus type vehicle, a regular sized bus, a double decker bus, a Bendy bus, and maybe a double bendy bus/bi-articulated bus for larger cities.  Also needed is a line of bus stops, ranging from small signs to nice sized Bus Rapid Transit stops.  And a bus terminal where people can transfer from one bus to the next.  Also needed is a Bus depot where they repair the buses, as well as dedicated bus lanes, and maybe even a special busway for buses only.

4.  Rubber Tyre trams, such as the Bombardier Guided Light Transit, and the Translohr systems.  These are basically special buses that are guided by a central guide rail, and can be between 3-5 sections long, like a light rail vehicle.  So it kind of sits as an in between.  Special stops could also be sold for it, as well as a maintenance depot and whatnot, and it could be PF friendly so it can drive on your roads as well.

5.  Things like trams, and other light rail vehicles, also needed date tram stops, a tram maintenance depot, and tramways that run in the road like special embedded tram track.

6.  Metro, such as subway trains, or even something like the El in Chicago, also needed would be a maintenance depot, and stations, as well as tunnel sets, or sets for building the elevated tracks.

7.  Monorail, both straddle beam and suspended variations, typically elevated, otherwise same kind of things as a metro would have.

8. Automated Guideway Transit, such as the Miami Metromover, or Detroit people mover. Perfect for Downtown loops or larger airports.  Also normally elevated.  could make use of the Roller coaster tracks but vehicles would be 6 studs wide, since they fit the bill well for AGT.

9.  Aerial Cable transit, like the Medellin Metrocable.  This would be fun to have in Lego, only issue is figuring out how to get it to work.

10. A transit hub to connect different forms of mass transit, maybe the ones for each mode could be modular to make one large hub as wanted, and it makes it easier to expand

I completely agree and support both of these ideas!

I want to see more food places in LEGO City.

In terms of food stands/trucks/outlets in LEGO City we have had pizza, bakery/donuts, hot dogs, coffee, burgers (although that one was on fire), ice cream, chicken drumsticks and I think popcorn in one promo set. (with pizza being probably the most common food). How about some more variety please? What about a Mexican place? Or Chinese? Or Barbecue? (with meat other than chicken and hot dogs) Or Fish & Chips? Or something healthy? (with the diet of the residents of LEGO City, no wonder they are so fat compared to their height :)

A few such places have appeared elsewhere in themes like Ninjago (which got sushi and other seafood in some discontinued and now-expensive sets) but City seems to have no variety (mostly Pizza with Hot Dogs a close second)

I agree, we need more variety on food places, maybe some German and French places as well.  And some South American inspired restaurants

OK!!!!! Those are things I would pay for. What if they did a salad truck with both fruits and vegetables? I'll buy.

I agree, but what I reckon would be even better would be to have a set like the original 2010 Public transport set released, and updated with a similar length cycle as the town centre/city centre/capital city/main square sets.

That I would buy. I would like to see an ambulance doctor car (like the 2006 one), to hopefully expand the range of ambulance torso pieces. Something that said 'doctor', 'paramedic' or 'ambulance' on the back instead of the star of life, which isn't used as regularly outside of the US.

Yea, I live near a hospital and their paramedics is exactly the similar to this here

https://pt.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ficheiro:Album_pic28.jpg

And I want to have more medical vehicles, all that appeared in 2006 had a new version except for the paramedics car

I want to see a plane of the sort the Royal Flying Doctor Service might use as a medical plane. The last medical airplane we got https://brickset.com/sets/60116-1/Ambulance-Plane looks ugly with that twin tail design and https://brickset.com/sets/2064-1/Rescue-plane was AFAIK only available if you flew on certain airlines or something plus its really small. Its time for a new one that looks better IMO (although whether it should be 4 wide or 6 wide I am not sure, given how wide other aircraft in the LEGO world are maybe a 6 wide plane with a similar length to the one in last year's 4+ airport set could work)

While that would be cool, it could somewhat limit some of the options in regards to building up full mass transit in your city.

My take on a Towing subtheme revival for City.

  • A small roadside assistance vehicle that is used when someone needs a jump. Includes broken down car
  • A tire transporter truck for cars with flat tires. This one could include a car.
  • A light duty tow truck like that one from the tuning shop with a six stud wide sedan-like automobile
  • A heavy wrecker with a big rig to tow. Perhaps the rig from the 2021 fire command center can be the basis
  • A flatbed tow truck that includes a broken down motorcycle
  • A towing barge with a broken down boat
  • A motorized breakdown train with a derailed flatbed
  • A road rescue garage with some civilian cars and a helicopter

EDIT

  • A small aircraft transporter with an aircraft that needs repairs. Similar to the 2009 helicopter transport.
  • A tow yard for impounded cars.

How about one of those odd towing vehicles from the O Bahn that has a cab on each side, that would also be an interesting vehicle to have

Nice ideas @Brandon Pea!

Here's some for a new airport subtheme, I know we had one last year but it was limited in sets:just two small airports and a air race, so here are my ideas for a new airport subtheme

-Post Plane-Small Plane with some cargo and envelopes

-Vip Service Vehicles-the same idea I said before, but with a black limousine similar to the one we had last year

-Airport Air Show Hangar-Hangar with Two Race Jets, obstacles and a service car

-Cargo Plane-Big Green Cargo Plane with those new plane pieces some compartments for cargo, the working door used in 8studs planes, a small cargo truck with cargo and a forklift

-Passenger Plane-Big Plane similar to 60262 without the cargo zone but with luggage compartments and a small trailer with stairs

-Airport-Big Terminal with a design similar to 7894,with detailed interior:airlines reception room, metal detectors, coffee shop, small shop,  waiting room, small passenger plane, smaller cargo plane, control tower, service vehicle with a luggage trailer, and stairs trailer, forklift with cargo and a small Tanker truck

Ok! We were given ocean exploration subtheme last year and now we will be given wildlifre resuce subtheme this year.

We have seen “pollution” in Ocean Exploration Base since there is bicycle on the sea floor. And we have Resuce Diver from CMF Series 20 that has green sea turtle. And now we will have unknown (we do not look what they look like yet) sets.

It gives me a few ideas - why not City theme that could relate to enivormenal controversies, engagement, climate change, etc.

For example, a wildlifre rescuer goes off to stop poacher from endangering certain species or saving animals from wildfire. Or forest rangers going to reforest the scarred forests. I think it’s best to have a positive attitude toward environment and animals.

I think there is an electric car in Modern Family House but i may wrong. So what’s about windmills? Hydroelectric facility?

Just random ideas, I know, but i think it would be cool to see some in City theme.

Maybe the larger terminal could be modular so you could expand it as needed, and maybe even get it large enough to require an Airport People Mover system in it to shuttle people between terminals or from the main terminal to parking

I wonder why Lego hasn't done something like that. Just like I wonder about the towing barge.

Well, for the busway stuff, it may be because they don’t have any dedicated busway sets that exist, so they can use a normal heavy tow truck for them.  As for the barge, that is a good question, since you need some way to tow a broken down boat

I am glad you love “Enviorment” subtheme ideas!

Also, City should include a bleached coral piece in Ocean Exploration subtheme last year but oh well.

Although its not technically City, its City-adjacent so this is probably the place for it.

I want to see a new version of the Xtra bicycles polybag. It could include one normal bike (preferably in a color that's new or rare such as yellow but any color other than red and medium azure would probably be OK) and one mountain bike (again in a new color would be good), some of the bike/sport helmets (something more interesting than the common-as-muck light bley in the current bicycles polybag) and some other appropriate accessories to go with the bikes (maybe there are things new since the original polybag was released that would make sense to add)

The plant and food polybags got an update, maybe its time to update the bicycle polybag as well...
